A boy with long, curly blonde hair stepped out into view, nearing Jade. He wore a light-blue polo, and khakis. As he neared Jade, he smiled.

"Hello..who might you be?" The boy asked, his voice soft and gentle.

~

Moments later, the monsters were reduced to nothing. Cealus breathed heavily, looking around.

"I'm getting better at this..." He muttered, smiling. He looked down the path, continuing his walk.

"I'm Jade." She states plainly as with it's the only thing that could be true.

"Who are you?" She asks back.

"My name is Joshua....well, it's not really that, but I like the name." Joshua replied, stopping a foot or two away from Jade, "Lemme guess, you lost or something? Or you...looking for anyone in particular?" Joshua asked, tilting his head.

~

Cealus came out into another open area, with a large post office, and the biggest fountain Cealus had ever seen. "Woah...now, that is a fountain I want to see back home." Cealus muttered, looking at it's full glory. "It's so...pretty."

"I shouldn't answer that." Jade said slowly as if each word had a taste.

"Also I think I could ask you the same." She said with some spunk.

"I guess you could say that." Joshua replied, "There are some...friends...I hope to reunite with...or have them reunited. Two others did the same, but as this is simply a sleeping Realm, their dream will be played again. Of course, I am the only one who does not live in that Shift."

~

Cealus walked around the perimeter of the fountain, smiling.

"This place really is beautiful." He murmured, looking about. Once again, the town felt desolate. Nearly creepy, as Joshua was the only person he met. "He did mention there were others, right..?" Cealus whispered.

"Shift..."Jades repeats the word slowly.

"You mean you that this twon has copies of it's self?" Jade asked.

  • Author

Joshua nodded, smiling, "Perceptive....nice, Jade. Yes, there is more than one 'version' of this Town." Joshua waved his hand at the area around him, "And as it is a dream, what happens here will repeat as long as those from the outside arrive."

~

Cealus began to walk up to the next set of large wooden doors, when he heard the distinctive 'whoosh' of a dark portal.

Xehanort... He thought, "What do you want, Xehanort?"

"Sorry, kiddo...the old geezer decided to send me here...so, surprise!" A voice replied.

"Ah...I see...like a recaureing dream then." Jade said.

"That might make sense." She said in a low tone of voice.

Joshua nodded, "Yes, I guess one could call it that. A recurring dream...that plays the nightmares each time one that was not in this realm at the time...appears." Joshua's gentle smile continued, with one hand on his hip; his other motioning his speech.

~

"W-who are you..?" Cealus asked, stepping away from the man. The man was tall and thin, and wore a black coat. The man had scars upon his face, and a black eye-patch covered his right eye. Not only that, but to complete the image, his hair was a long ponytail, and his smile appeared deadly.

"Name's Xigbar, kiddo. Ol' Xehanort sent me here to uh, 'chat' with you." Xigbar said, purple guns appearing in his hands, "'Course, he never said how that chat was to go about."

"Hmm. I guess that's alright because this is just a dream. So...then it doesn't matter once you wake up." Jade said.

"Then only, your memoies and exp would remain. " She said thinking aloud.

"But...this is still a dangerous dream. Be careful." Joshua said, turning around. "Now, heading off. I have some friends to re-locate." Joshua muttered, before vanishing as he reached a dark alleyway.

~

Cealus summoned his weapon, getting into a combat stance.

"Ooh..." Xigbar murmured, his smile creepy, "Just like all the rest...you got that angry look down...." Xigbar aimed for Cealus, his face the creepiest expression Cealus had seen to date. Xigbar was pure malice, cruelty, and evil.

"Come at me." Cealus said, readying himself.

Jade nodded."I'll just go this way then."She said and turn to where she was planning to head.

She started to walk again somehow still getting the feeling of being watched. "Gah!" She said and sighed.

"Gack!" Cealus yelped, being knocked back by Xigbar's space defying bolts. Cealus hit a wall, stumbling back up. "Hmph, not nearly as strong though. Sora was way stronger than you. Those three, hmm...about the same." Xigbar said, walking slowly to Cealus. His steps were methodical, threatening as his coat flowed precisely.

"Grgh.." Cealus growled, readying his blade, "But...I'm different." Cealus whispered, rushing forward, slashing Xigbar cleanly upon the chest.

Jade heard a voice behind her. "Hello, dear girl."

"Oh no."She muttered again and turn to see Young Xeahanort.

"Grgh..." Xigbar stumbled forward, clutching his chest. He turned, facing Cealus. "Heh, Xehanort was right. Thanks for the chat, kiddo. Nice distraction....got enough time for Xehanort to visit your little girlfriend, without any interruptions." Xigbar stepped back, wincing in pain. He wiggled his fingers, "Now, toodles!"

With that, Xigbar vanished.

"Well, now, look who we have here." Young Xehanort said in a snide tone of voice.

"Get to the point." Jade said with a bit of annoynce.

"Every part as it's place. Your not a part. So you are useless to the plan." He said calmly.

"So your just going to 'get rid of me',then?" She asked and summoned her Key-Blade.

The Young yet to be master laughed."No,not quite." He said slightly amused.

Cealus turned, running into the next District. This area was more like a shopping area, with several rails, balloons, and bright lights. Cealus walked down some steps, arriving in a cul de sac.

"That guy mentioned Xehanort and Jade...dang it...what's happening..?" Cealus murmured, continuing to look around.

Jade pointed her Key-Blade at him."Ceal isn't some part." She spat out.

The Your Xehanort laughed again."No,no your right." He smiled a tight smile.

"But that changes nothing." He said like the whole thing was a joke.

She growled at him "Your vile and evil." She said.

Cealus walked down some more steps, passing under several lights. He arrived in another open area...with small, bear-like creatures that seemed capable of flight. Each one had a red pom-pom hanging from their head.

"Moogles!" Cealus exclaimed, running up to the nearest one.

"Welcome, kupo!" The Moogle said, "Welcome to my shop, kupo. You here to buy, kupo?"

"Mm, not really. I'm looking for someone. Have you seen a girl, about my age, around?"

The Moogle shook it's head -which looked to Cealus like it was shaking it's whole body-, "No, kupo. But Mog here did see a sad-looking boy, kupo, walking into the garden, kupo!"

"That may be the truth of the matter, but it still changes nothing." He said coldly.

Jade gave a sigh. "I won't let that happen." She said just as coldly.

"Your only making this harder on yourself and him." He said and summoned his own Key-Blade.

"Your the problem here not me." She said and charged at Young Xehanort.

Cealus thanked the Moogle, and walked into the next area the small winged-bear had mentioned. This area wasn't as open, but a large atrium sat before Cealus, and he knew quickly this was the place the Moogle had mentioned. Cealus walked up to the building, but clumsily tripped, falling into the open moat.

"Ergh, does everyone have to be this loud?" A annoyed boice mentioned, and Cealus looked up. Standing on the sidewalk was a orange-haired boy, whose purple shirt covered most of his face.

"Ah, you must be the guy the Moogle mentioned. I'm Cealus, by the way." Cealus said, and the boy groaned, beginning to walk away.

Young Xehanort easily doged and at the same time got behind me. "Fast, but not fast enough." He said again sounding amused.

She felt the tip of the blade touching her back."Your bait." He whispered to me.

"No I'm not!" Jade said firmly.

She pointed her Key-Blade at the ground. "If nothing else I can take us both out." She said trying to think of what to do frome here.

"I'm sure you rather not." He said in a low voice.

"H-hey wait!" Cealus said, sloshing around in the water before managing to crawl out of the moat. "Hey!" Cealus exclaimed, running up to the boy.

"What do you want?" The boy said, annoyed, "I'm looking for someone."

"So am I! I'm looking for a girl- she's my age, and about my height." Cealus explained, and the boy grabbed his hand. The boy looked at Cealus's palm, and sighed."Seems as if you aren't a Player.." The boy murmured, walking away.

Jade sighed now angred. "You have no right to say that." She said in pure rage.

He laughed."Now,now ,don't go into the Darnkess yet."He said it in a snide way.

"Who said anthing aout darkness. Now leave." She said coldly.

Cealus felt something in the pit of his stomach, as if someone was in trouble. He clenched his fist, looking down.

Jade, if anything is happening...remember, I'm here. Even if we're separated....we're together by our Hearts.  Cealus thought, looking back to the boy who had nearly left the District. "Hey! Wait!" Cealus yelled, chasing the boy.

"I don't want to talk." The boy replied, not bothering to glance at Cealus.
