Anyone else have Verizon for Internet?

Recommended Posts

My mom just got Verizon as our new Internet service and said that Youtube overloads it or something like that. Anyway, I want to know if that's true or if she is trying to scare me away from the website (she hates it!)

I'm using it too actually, and yeah, I can't watch videos, listen to things, or download stuff because it uses up the data we're permitted. You're limited to a certain number of gigabytes per month, and if you use that up, you can't use the internet until your next contract renewal.

My solution - I go to the public library to use their wifi to download things and such.

(I'm using Verizon MiFi by the way.)

We have Verizon as well. Yeah, YouTube videos really seem to kill it do to the data usage limit. Of course, my brother spends hours on YouTube watching 10-20 minute videos, mostly "Let's Play" and MineCraft Videos. We haven't gone a month since getting the thing without going Gigabytes over our data limit. One month we were so over the limit our bill reached more than $200 dollars (which is completely ridiculous). Luckily, our area is going to get an actual internet service soon, so here's to hoping we don't have to put up with a 10 GB data limit anymore.

EDIT:

Like Exlon, we use Verizon MiFi.
