Status Effects? Buffs? for KH3.

Posted

I am just wondering maybe we can include some well-known status effects such as poison, daze, low-defense for KH3? I believe Re: Coded had a daze like status effect as well as a some debuffs?

I also think a buff would be good like Donald using Bravery on Sora, and so on, Protect for Goofy.. What you guys think? We've seen Protect as a weapon ability for Goofy. So maybe?

I don't really want status effects to stick around in KH,they just keep getting more annoying, and are becoming a massive waste of time.

I wouldn't mind seeing status buffs though.

Sora should get a Haste spell and a water spell. Negative status effects are annoying especially daze but the gameplay would lose some of it's flavor without them.

Yeah, remember those terrible games like Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2? Totally flavourless games, unlike 358/2 Days!

What? They had status effects.

Barely. days was the one to introduce them in full force.

Actually, I can only think of status effects in KH2... did KH1 have any, and I just missed them?

Um ya how about ignite, poison, freeze, demi, silence, jolt, stop, stun, Shall I continue?

Nope. First of all, while KH has had persistent damage dealers, they have never been overt status effects. It's not like any fire attack can inflict ignite, etc. Similarly, freeze is infrequent, to the point where I've only ever seen my party members frozen during the Blizzard Lord fight.

Demi isn't a status effect, silence is definitely not a status in those games, same with jolt, though I'm not 100% sure about stun, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

(I think there may have been stun in KH1, but not KH2)

My point, however, is that whatever statuses they DID have in those games were ridiculously downplayed, It's far too overt now

Wow Your really fighting for this one... I really just dont agree and I guess we'll leave it at that.

I admit that I forgot about the status effects that appear in those games but... that's sort of my point. Games like Days and DDD really try to shove the fact that these status effects exist down your throat.

I guess a better way to put it would have been "I want status effects like they are in KH1 and 2"
