Honestly, I think Jacen became a character I didn't like to read about. Although I really did like his fall to the dark side, and how it came about, I think Jacen became a piece of crap as a Sith, and his actions had no logical sense to them whatsoever. He seemed like an Anakin all over again. Turn evil to save the ones you love, lose their trust, go angsty evil, and redeem themselves before dying. He became something he wasn't, losing what made us love him in the first place. Jacen Solo just wasn't Sith material, so it didn't make sense when he turned evil, no matter how bad-ass he was (and he was kind of bad-ass.) Although I don't usually read extended universe stuff, Jacen really did interest me, and then, what? What did he become? What flaw in his character would lead him to this besides helping Allana and Tenel Ka? Except Jacen wasn't like Anakin in that respect. He was smarter. But the same thing happened to him. And I really would have preferred him turning to the light side again, and getting everyone's trust again. But no, they have to firetrucking kill him off by a move by Jaina that made absolutely no sense to her character. Jaina would have not lashed out to make a killing blow like that. THAT'S NOT HOW SHE ROLLS. But of course Jaina became whiny and useless. And they killed Anakin Solo and Chewie off just a few books before, but no, they have to devastate the Solo family a third time for no firetrucking reason. And he was so predictable, but no one knew he was a Sith, least of all his own Uncle, Mother and sister who knew him better than anyone and were Jedi.
(Some spoilers to deaths.)

It's just so stupid to me.
