At the moment Xehanort is 1 person short of his New Organization, since Sora was rescued. What would your reaction be if he Norted Namine?

Namine has her own memories, her own experiences, her own personality, powers, way of handling things, her own connections with people, and her own heart. She is in almost every way different from Kairi and Sora because her memories and experiences have shaped her into her own person. For better or for worse part of that "self" is that she feels that she shouldn't exist, or at least not exist as her own being. Diz has been telling her that she's a "Nobody" and Nobodies shouldn't exist, her powers have caused a lot of trouble and she feels that they can't do any good, and as a "Nobody" she belongs with her Somebody and wanted to disappear into Kairi. She either has little will to live or genuinely believes that becoming one with Kairi is the best that fate can offer her.

 

Let me clarify my view. Namine is a full person, or at least as close as any Nobody can be, with everthing you said about her own X being true. I just think she sees herself as only existing to help Sora and/? Roxas. So when she thinks of herself she thinks Sora & KAiri's Nobody who exists to help Sora, rather than Myself, with My own desires and My own interests. She has a will to live, but it's just to help Sora.

I think I get what you're saying. Her "sense of self" is an extension based on Sora/Roxas.

Right. And so until she sees herself as something more I don't think she'll leave Kairi without Sora/Roxas being in danger, or if she is released by someone else.
