Well basically, I made a story on this last year, and then made an RP about it. Now, I think I should have the story posted here, and I really like it. (In total its a long *** 120 pages though.) Anyways, I'll post it chapter by chapter.
Chapter 1: A Typical day...?
Today seemed to be just an average, typical day for me at high school. Well, a boarding school. It was specifically called Cornelia High School. My name was Isaac Ghiral, just a regular seventeen year old guy. I was neither hated nor loved by people in this school, but outside of it I still wasn’t exactly sure. Especially when it comes to my own parents, for them to send me away from them forever only to hear the grave news of my entire family’s mass death when I got here…thinking about why would just give me a headache, which is exactly why I never told anyone anything about my parents.
Anyways, I walked casually to my first period class, feeling ominous. “Hey Isaac, wanna go to my place after school?” Someone asked me. “Oh, hey John.” I responded to John, one of my few friends….my best friend at that. He had short black hair, brown eyes, and light-brown skin. He was wearing average clothes, skinny jeans that were mildly torn, and a plain dark blue t-shirt. “I’ll see you there.” I said again, as we continued our work, considering the teacher is really strict.
I continued the day normally, up until lunch. We had just finished fourth period, and a voice ringed in my head, not coming from anywhere. “Isaac…child of mother Maria and father Dante Ghiral.” Who…what was this!? “Do not be alarmed. We have indeed met before, oblivious to you. Or, perhaps, by some chance, you do remember?” I continued walking and listening, wanting to seem casual around the school. The voice seemed so formal…almost divine. “I…am no human. I am the very deity you call ‘God.’ I am…the Creator.” I decided to think to myself, assuming the voice would hear it. (How am I supposed to believe you? I mean…this is pretty weird though. What would a deity want with me anyways?) “I ask of a major favor of you. As you can tell…I cannot appear before you. I am not able to do so, beyond the laws I myself have created.” (Your point? What do you want with me..?) “You and quite a few others have been chosen. You see…the Gods, Titans, and Monsters in which you refer to as ‘Greek Mythology’ are all betraying the world. From the start, Titans and Monsters have wrought havoc across the world. However…the Gods who were created to stop that madness have lost interest. The Titans and Monsters cannot reach the point where the Gods live, but they can here…on Earth. The Gods see no point in protecting you….which is why I shall call upon you and the others to gain special abilities and save the world from bedlam. Five heroes are already fighting the conflicts. I shall make sure you meet another chosen one in the meantime. Go, Isaac..!”
I was confused. Well, I knew what he had said, I guess I was shocked. Could I believe him? True or not, it was the only thing in life that had interested me. (Meet someone? Let’s see that happen or-) my thoughts were cut short as I bumped into someone, knocking their stuff down. He sighed, “Of course.” I looked down at him. He was just a child! Oh right, I’ve heard of him. Joshua Akira. He was an eleven year old sophomore, the youngest person I’ve seen in a while. He was small…even for his young age. He had very light skin, almost pale. His hair was blonde, and it was a bit shaggy and messy. He wore regular blue jeans and a formal-looking collared shirt, and had light blue eyes that made me feel immensely guilty when I looked at them. I began to pick up a few of the books he dropped, to his surprise. He grabbed the books out of my hands quickly as if I’d intentionally drop them and continued to the ones on the floor. “How’d you get to be a sophomore?” I asked him bluntly. “I skipped a few grades, that’s all.” He mumbled, seemingly expecting me to do something. Oh, I think I understood now. I remember being in class several different days, overhearing some people talking about Joshua…he must’ve been bullied here a lot…especially since he’s so small. He got up and walked towards lunch, completely ignoring me again.
I, myself walked towards lunch too, making sure I’d sit next to Joshua. I wonder what he knew about that voice, and the mythological deities. I ended up next to him, eating the school pizza. “So…what books do you like to read? I like those mystery books.” I said, trying to get to a conversation. (Wow…I must really sound like an idiot right now.) “I read every kind. From mystery, to action, to biographies, to lexicons.” He muttered in response. (Damn, what does it take to get this kid’s attention? Oh well…I’ll just get to the point.) I brought out a flashcard and a pen and wrote quickly, handing him the card afterwards. ‘Did you know Greek Gods don’t stop the Titans and Monsters from wreaking havoc?’ He shot a sharp glare at me then wrote into it himself. ‘I know you’re chosen too. “He” told me already.’ I looked at him still casual with his serious expression. (Well, he really knows how to keep a poker face…) I thought to myself as I ate. Before I noticed it, he left without saying a word. Of course he did. Either way, I was positive I’d see him later anyways.
As normal, I continued the rest of the school day normally and finally exited sixth period. I walked around, looking for John to head to his dormitory, when everything began to feel warm. Not hot, but a comfortable warm feeling was in the air. Light shined down on the area, but no one else seemed to notice. It reminded me of my parents….why?
~Flashback~
I was a baby. Still only three years old…but how was I conscious enough to remember this memory? I lied on the living room couch, hearing my parents argue with my uncle. Was it them, or were they possessed? “If the Creator wants us to tribute our own son…we will!” “This is not the work of the Creator…this is the Destroyer! Don’t you see?! Don’t do it!” “Lies! We have to do this!” My father than physically fought my uncle, whom was defending me. My mother grabbed a dagger and strolled towards me with it. Right as it stabbed I saw a light. Not death…the light protected me from the knife. In the distance I saw an angel who had the same light aura around him. That angel…saved my life.
~Reality~
winged figures appeared in the distant sky, towards me. Angels..? What’s….going on?!
