I have the psp version and I was looking into getting the ps2 version for multiplayer and tv compatibility. I was wondering what all is different between the versions like planets and classes and characters etc.?

That cool green jet trooper with the assault rifle? Yeah he's not in the ps2 version.

Also the ps2 version has an actual story mode with a depressed clone as the narrator. Other than that it's pretty much the same.

For the most part it's the same, the PS2 version has some more gamemodes and a higher frame rate. There is also no custom classes/soldiers in the PS2 version but in a way this makes gameplay more balanced.

If you want to play multiplayer though I would suggest getting the PC version of the game. Playstation 2 multiplayer is dead, I'm not even sure if Sony still supports it, and even if they do your probably only going to find a few people playing. The PC version on the other hand still has a small, but dedicated player base that still play multiplayer.

PS2 Online servers barely exist now.
