'There is a legend. A legend of pure mystery. A legend that would last longer than it would take to begin it. The lights were covered in the most brightest of purple and pink. During this time, the world was suffering. But it wouldn't stay that way forever. A light would shine bright and help bring peace back to the world.'

POKEMON QUEST: THE POWER WITHIN________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

 

 

The sun was shining bright across a large plain. The grass was tall due to it being the middle of summer. A shadow was lurking in the grass. Soon, a leaf storm attack came from behind where the shadow was. The shadow avoided it and leaped out into the field. Standing there was the mysterious pokemon, Keldeo. A Virizion then came out from behind him. "Virizion, what the heck is wrong with you?" Keldeo asked. Virizion growled and then went into attack Keldeo. Keldeo quickly dodged it and ran away from Virizion, with Virizion running after him.

"That name does ring a bell. I was the leader of Destiny when we were a team. My name is Aqua." Slightly mystified she looked at the new faces. "Vivi and I've with the team since I got out of experimentation. I was originally a Reuniclus. Not sure what I am now." He half glanced behind him seeing the fainted Pokemon still knocked out. 'Wonder what happened to him?' Ventus jumped up closer to Lightning. "I've seen you before! Oh and I'm Ventus!" She chimmed happily before hopping at Blaze and Flare. "You two can both HELP! It's the great part about Exploration Teams. You'll always have help! It can even get pretty big. We've done teams of ten before this!" She jumped around happily still to spastic for the others to keep up.

Blaze watched Ventus bounce around. This one's a bit... strange. He thought to himself. He looked at Flare. He really wanted to join their team, but he also wanted to keep Flare safe.

"Please brother?" Flare asked. "They're nice!"

"... If Flare won't get hurt, then we'll join." Blaze sighed in defeat, yet silently cheering. His dream was finally being realized. He then looked at Lightning. "So, you were just testing us? You're not going to fight us then?" He questioned the Pokemon.

"Yay another adventure!" Somehow ending up resting on Flare's head her weight almost unnoticeable. "I'm sure you'll have a blast maybe we mig find some pretty cool objects along the way. Maybe even something as rare as a Manaphy egg! Of those eggs are so cool and when they hatch they are so adorable." Floating off of Flare's head she did a loop still smiling as she f,we around. "I can't hold still I'm just so happy!"

Maybe a bit too happy... Blaze thought to himself.

Flare looked at Ventus in amazement. "Woah, I didn't even notice you there! I wanna find a Manaphy egg! I've always wanted to see one of those! She exclaimed with as much enthusiasm as Ventus had. Blaze tried to act cool like usual, but had trouble hiding his smile. He was glad to have finally joined a team. However, according to Lightning, they'd be opposing darkness sometime soon...

"Wait... what's this darkness you spoke of earlier, Lightning?" He asked, curious about what they'd have to face.

"The darkness expands from one to the other. I can't tell you all at the moment, but I will deliever to you a message that will be the first place you will go. I will deliever messages to you from time to time, which are always clues and hints for what you should do next. Here is the first one. A place that hasn't been born until now. A place where colors and gems are non, and only those symbols of science assemble to a whole. A place where anything is possible up to a point, a land far from the last. Where is this place and who are these people? Your answers are as good as questions when you stand together to defeat the beast and help the guardian." Lightning said. And just like a flash, he was gone.

(Why do I get the idea this is a reference to the new Pokemon games? )

"Huh, talk about cryptic..." I said somewhat quietly, then looked to the others. "What's that supposed to mean? 'A place that hasn't been born until now'... How is it possible for a place to just suddenly appear out of thin air?"

"Maybe it's magic!" Flare exclaimed. Clearly, she'd been infected with the crazy.

"Symbols of science... no colors or gems... What could all this mean?" I asked. Symbols of science could be referring to a variable of some sort, or maybe the symbol for some scientific term...

"Not magic but dark like how the forests went blank when time started freezing in some of the older adventures of previous teams. So the darkness could of affected it somehow." Aqua pondered it for a moment before speaking over the last part. "Your answers are as good as questions when you stand together to defeat the beast and help the guardian. Wait a minute the fainted Pokemon?!" Turning toward the faint Pokemon with a quick steps she was next to them. "Ventus, Vivi, we need to wake them up NOW. There part of it I'm sure of it now."

"Darkness... that's a possibility." Blaze said to Aqua. Thankfully I'm not the only sane one here... He thought to himself. "So, this fainted Pokemon is the guardian... Maybe we need to defeat this beast to help it? And what does it mean by 'Your answers are as good as questions'?"

"Personal experience it means not only will answers drive forward they'll bring up more questions to. Though that isn't always a bad thing." Looking at the faint Pokemon Vivi with his egg and Ventus got closer. "So how should we wake him up? The poison, the spark, or the slam?" Vivi asked hoping it wouldn't be his toxic touch. He hated it when they nailed him afterwards. "Ya who's turn is to get nailed for waking them up like we always have to?" Floating back and forth still she turned to Blaze a smile on her face. "There's ups and downs to being Explorers. Wake up calls suck."

"Wh-what!? I have to..." Blaze sighed. Of course he'd be the one stuck with waking up this Pokemon, and potentially getting hit back in retaliation. "Ugh... Well, if we have to..." He used Ember on the Pokemon, still not sure how attacking it would wake it up.

"Maybe now would be a good time to mention I have a Chesto Berry...?" Flare brought up, trying to be helpful, but only making the matter worse for Blaze.

Keldeo quicky awoken from the heat of the flame. "WHO MARRIED A PALM TREE!!!!!!!!!!" Keldeo screamed out from still waking up. The pokemon then looked around and got scared from all the unknown faces. He quickly ran and hid behind a nearby tree.

Blaze jumped when the Pokemon shouted, but recovered when he realized it hadn't attacked him. "... What about a palm tree?" He noticed the Pokemon run to hide behind a tree. "Uhh... hey, don't worry. We're not trying to hurt you. We just had to wake you up... Uhh... I'm Blaze, and this is my sister-"

"Flare!" Flare cut Blaze off, happy to say her own name.

"Hi ya I'm Ventus!" She floated at the edge of the tree eye leveled with the mysterious Pokemon. "So how'd ya end up here ah what's your name?" Floating side to side again Ventus gave the Pokemon a warm smile. "I'm Vivi." He waved with his free hand stills locating a good bit away. "I'm Aqua. Do you mind answering Ventus's question? Oh and Ventus calm down. I swear of these days we aren't gonna be able to stop you from floating off to far."

Keldeo was still scaried, but that was mostly because he was shy around new faces. He got up and looked at Flare and then at Blaze. "I could sense that this one you call Flare was good. So I guess you all are. I am just very shy and get scaried because of it. So what happened?" Keldeo asked. "The last I remember, my home got attacked by the darkness and my friends are now goners to be slaves of the darkness. As for name, I am Zack, yeah Zack."

"We found you knocked out around here, and decided to take you somewhere safe. A Pokemon named Lightning arrived and told us some sort of hint as to where we need to go... And mentioned that you're a Guardian. Speaking of which, the Guardian was a part of the hint. What ARE you a Guardian of, anyway?" Blaze asked the Pokemon.

Zack looked confused. "Guardian? I am not a guardian. I am a swordsman in training. Why did you ask if I was?" Zack asked.

"Huh... Nevermind, then." Blaze said. "So, your friends are slaves to the darkness? Guess that means we need to save them..." He said, then muttered. "What a crazy first mission for a newbie explorer to get..."

"Hey but we got thrown into it crazy like to. It's not gonna be that bad anyways. We'll find this Guardian soon. Then some answers should be answered at the least." Aqua's tails twitched while she turned her head. "Ventus ya still got the Lunar Wing from the legendary Pokemon we helped with the nightmares Darkrai brought?" In the next instant she was being tackld by her friend now laying on the ground. "Yep here's e wing. I would not lose something as great as this treasure!" Holding out the feather she gave Aqua a nervous smile. "Ventus you're gonna get hurt soon if you don't slow down." He was generally worried but now he was more than ever.

Blaze watched Ventus tackle Aqua, and got a bit scared of Ventus. She's crazy... He thought to himself. "So, uhh... What will we do with that wing?" Blaze asked Aqua, hoping for an answer.

"Wooah, cool!" Flare exclaimed, being amazed by everything as usual.

"And how will we find the Guardian?" Blaze asked. Too many questions... He thought.

"Well I don't know about this guardian or that wing at all. But I do know that there is an old abandon railroad up ahead that we could use. It might led to the guardian. But about my friends, they are something that can wait until after we defeat the darkness before it destroys everyone." Zack said.

"Right..." Blaze said. "Does the railroad still run though? I'd imagine it doesn't if it's abandoned..."

"Yay, we're going on an adventure!" Flare shouted happily.

I think that Ventus is rubbing off on her... Blaze thought to himself.

Bolterra crawled into the sun light. He used thunderbolt to calm himself, but that made it only worse. "Dear looooooooooooord!!!!!!" He shouted at top of his lungs.

 

"Verpin, you hear that?" Purrina asked. "Yes," Verpin responded. "Who could that be?" Purrina wondered. "Bolterra....." Verpin replied with a sly grin on her face.

"The wings for when we sleep. You'll see why then and Ventus get off me for I make you get off me!" Running off her friend Ventus looked up shivering slightly. "I see purple clouds, there a couple hours away, they made me so sad earlier." Looking up at the sky for a second longer Ventus turned toward Vivi. "Vivi you saw them to right? Those strange purple clouds?!" Looking at Ventus's worried expression the larger Pokemon sighed. "Ya hey do any of you know we're those came from?"

"Not a clue... I never even saw them." Blaze answered Ventus' question.

"Nope!" Flare replied.

"How about you, Zack?" Blaze asked the new Pokemon, hoping he'd know.

Verpin and Purrina hurried over to Bolterra. Verpin used Dark Pulse on him. "Thunder bolt!!!" Bolterra shouted, knocking Verpin and Purrina into the bushes. He crawled up and staggered away, only to fall down a hill...
