It's a little late asking but i was not paralel to kh so i read kh 3d plot and i did not understand a thing.Can someone give me a brief version of the plot  and how it is connected to the whole kh series plot?

I had played the most of them.I used to be a HUGE fan of kh .Most significantly i have played KH 1 ,KH BBS AND KH2.

That's not bad, but I recommend either watching or playing all the others, you'll definitely understand KH3D a bit more. Or, if you finished 3D, there should be a few things on the previous games and events in the Journal.

and also Lea gets a keyblade and Kairi will get keyblade training.

Yen sid says at the end of coded one keyblade master wouldn't be enough to defeat MX, so Sora and Riku were going through their mark of mastery exam to prove they're worthy

 

Sora is being monitored by the org with the sigil on his clothes, he's so powered by light he never built up defences to the darkness. This made him a good target for being MXs 13th vessel.

 

Riku is within Soras dream, and dives to his heart as well. He saves Sora and gets ansem data (that Will help with Roxas, ven, xion etc)

 

Riku is made a master cause he didn't sleep through his exam

 

lea gets a keyblade, and finds out isa is a mx clone.

 

All org members awaken as their somebody's, but luxord, marluxia, demyx and larxene aren't accounted for.

 

Mickey names 6 lights who'll fight against mxs 13, aqua, terra, ven, Sora, Riku, mickey (first 3 Will need rescued in the next game) and the secret ending reveals Kairi is the 7th light

 

it'd prob make more sense if you watched the cutscenes too.
