Keyblades are looking less & less like keys

Posted

Now, I love all the keyblades; they're all good in their own way, especially aesthetically. What I'm trying to say is that the KEYblades are starting to look way off from a key.. I'm not implying the designers are not creative, but I guess I just want simpler designs, is all. I love Ventus' Keyblade, the Wayward Wind, because of its simple key-based design. What do you guys think?

An example of one that looks far off is Terra's Chaos Ripper. I love its color scheme and design, but its... not a key.

I think it's the worst looking keyblade in the series. They should've taken more time with it. At least make it look more like a keyblade.

yeah It's a mediocre keyblade. I was expecting something better for Riku.

Master Eraqus keyblade (Master Keeper) looks like a key.

indeed, I like that keyblade.  :)

LOL In Kh3d when you have Guardian Bell in the Grid they were like: Where did you get that key? Im like: DOES THIS LOOK LIKE A KEY TO YOU!?

Keyblades were never meant to always look like an actual key. If they did, the designs would gotten a lot more tired as the series went on. Even the X-Blade, literally THE Key-blade, is a sword more then a key.

The name Keyblade is more indicstive of what they do, not what they look like.
