why do Star Wars fans dislike Star Trek fans and vice verca, personally i like both franchises

I don't see why they should hate eachother. Both are great large franchises, within the same genre (Sci-Fi). No need to be hatin on epic things ;3

My parents showed me watch Star Wars growing up, yet they never showed me ANY Star Trek movies @.@ I'm assuming Star Trek's cool though, as it has Leonard Nimoy and that one bald guy with the cool voice who was the captain at one point (I think) xD But all in all I have no problem with Star Trek despite being a Star Wars fan for a decade! ^^
