In her youth she met a boy of age as hers. They talked and laughed and spent everyday. She taught him the meaning of life and he taught her the other meaning, she taught him how to trust your heart, and he taught her how to whistle. As he had said "Anytime you need me, just whistle." And she agreed, so the statement came true since. Months have passed and their togetherness grew, but one day, he did not come. She whistled out to the pier reaching the ocean but he did not come, and marching time drew and wore her numb. She whistled everyday from noon till night but he did not come. Now, time consumed she sits in her chair, fragile and old. Her grandchildren young and counted of three, gather about her. "Children," She says. "When I was young, I was taught to whistle, and I have taught you now." she continues. "Belive in the heart and the holy sight, and go run and play and spend happy days. And stay close to me and the ocean." The children left and played outside, but one child, a little girl of the three, found an old pier streaching out to the ocean. She stood there, beauty all around her. She whistled out to the vast ocean. And through the light...he appeared once more. Youthful as ever before.
