Story-

In a future Japan that has been affected by a major war and numerous terrorist attacks, the work of ancient demons said to only be in myths are at work, hiding within the bodies of humans. Only few still live today…however, the demons that are left over are the ones who are different. These demons…eat human souls. Most of these demons switch forms, their true forms; however, could these demons help us? Could these demons stop the new technology called R.A.I?

R.A.I-

Or, Real Artificial Intelligence.  Created by Komamori Sasa. This system allows robots to act more human. The system is going berserk and needs to be stopped. The R.A.I program is triggering the war, making the war even worse. Japan is becoming ruins because of Komamori and the R.A.I’s.  Some R.A.I’s have special abilities such as shape shifting.

Rin woke up, it was finally morning. She jumped off of the small couch she slept in (her 'house' didn't have a bed in it, in her terms they cost too much). She quickly got on her dress, tied up her ribbon, put on her socks and shoes, attempted to brush her hair, chained up her necklace and strapped on her anklet. Soon, Rin was out the door. Every step she took, her four bells rung, making her widely noticeable. Rin finally made it to the main road. Most of Tokyo was ruins, buildings were destroyed, you could practically see right through them and the roads were semi clear. Rin stuck out walking down the roads. She was different from the others, however, people who are demons, people can barely tell they even are demons. Some names she specifically was called would be: Monster, Unclean, Clingy, Inhuman, Problem Child, etc. These names didn't bother Rin, she practically didn't mind. She stopped at a building to see a Television playing through the window. It showed Komamori Sasa and that their were more R.A.I's being on sale. That is the odd thing about R.A.I's, you could buy them.

"I wouldn't want to be a R.A.I, it's like Slavery...boring with no freedom at all, unlike me." she laughed before walking up the road again.

Soma and Sakura rode on Akuno down the long road to Tokyo. The hot air made both of them sweaty and uncomfortable. "Can't Akuno go any faster?' Sakura asked.

"No, he can't. He's not adjusted to this planets atmosphere." Soma growled.

"How much farther?"

"The city is in sight, okay?" Soma pointed to the horizon, where the Tokyo landscape could be seen. Sakura jumped off and began walking next to Akuno. "Why'd you get off?"

"If the citizens in Tokyo see Akuno, they'll immediately be suspicious of us." Sakura wagged her finger.  Soma sighed, knowing she was right. With a snap of his finger, Akuno disappeared and Soma landed on the ground, beginning to walk beside his sister.

 Austin wandered around the crumbled street, the only sound was the shuffles of his shoes against the concrete. He breathed in the polluted air and his tongue felt dry. "I could use some human soul right now." Austin said in an emotionless tone. He stopped in front of a huge poster about R.A.I. giving a feeling of annoyance to Austin. 'What's up with this company? I see their advertisements everywhere they're driving me nuts.' He thought. 

Natildei Tatcor walked beside Matt Tuktoka. "Remember. This truce continues until tomorrow!" Natildei warned. "I know!" Matt rolled his eyes. With Tokyo within their sights, the two carried their argument as long as it took them to reach their destination."What happened!?" Matt exclaimed. "Didn't you know? There was a war that happened. And it's probably still going on, making this place a ruin," Natildei explained. "Hey! Stop trying to act so smart!" Matt said, taking out his hand cannon. "Oh! What's this? You're breaking our truce already?" Natildei asked Matt. Matt mumbled random words and walked away. Natildei turned and looked at a part of the ruins. "If the war caused this, then why isn't it getting any better? Does that mean it's still happening...?" she wondered aloud. Looking over her shoulder, she noticed Matt shuffling a broken pillar. "MATT!" "What?" "Don't do anything stupid!" "Aw, gee...You're not the boss of me!" "I SAID DON'T!" Natildei shouted transforming in a fairly small white hydra. "Okay...Fine." Natildei reverted back to normal. "I have the urge to break this truce so I can break your skull," she muttered.

Rin made her way down the street, observing the several buildings. She looked up at one that was rather destroyed and smirked. Rin circled the building, finally finding a way inside, she then headed up the stairs once inside.

Rin looked though the rubble, soon finding a manga under the rubble.

"Ao No Exorcist Volume 7?" she read aloud, opening the book up.

Rin scammed through the pages, reading some of it, and then throwing it to the side. She was bored again. She went up a couple of more level, reaching the 6th level, something caught her eye. A R.A.I lying on the ground. Rin approached the robot, kicking it hard. The R.A.I opened its eyes and Rin quickly jumped back in fright.

"That wasn't so nice, do you always go around kicking people?" The creature asked.

"No...who are you?" Rin asked.

"My name is Kei Nakamura...a R.A.I." she said, turning to Rin.

Kazumi leaned on the corner of one of the destroyed buildings. She spied a young girl enter one of the ruined buildings. Kazumi smiled playfully. "Kids these days. Always trying to find excitement." She stood up and walked down the street, wiping the rust off of her knife. As she walked, she saw all the people on the streets. They were dying. Starvation, thirst, fatal wounds. The war was a pointless massacre. Kazumi growled, throwing her knife into the wall. And it was all those demons fault. Kazumi stood motionless for a moment, calming down from the rage building up inside of her.  Once she was calm, she grabbed the knife out of the wall and poot it back in its pouch.  She continued to walking, seeing a couple of tvs, broadcasting the new R.A.Is. She growled again. Demons aren't the only danger now.

"A...R.A.I? Are you okay?! You were up here the entire time!" Rin exclaimed.

"I don't get hurt unless burned, frozen or litterally cut in half." Kei explained, staring blankly at Rin.

"Who are you, demon?" she asked.

"Demon? I'm not a demon. My name is Rin Suzuki." Rin announced.

"You are a demon, I know, obviously." Kei snapped, crossing her arms.

"Sigh...okay...I am a demon. Kei! I have an idea! Come with me! I want to try and stop this. Your a R.A.I...maybe I can set you free." Rin yelled.

Kei thought for a moment before giving a slight smile.

"Sure...for now." she said.

Rin gave a slight nod.

Soon, both of them were out of the building heading back to Rin's house.

"Whats up with those people?" Kei asked, pointing to Natilidei and Matt.

Rin stared for a second before shaking her head.

"I don't know...lets go see." she said with a smile.

One thing about Rin is that she was really noisy.

"Hey, are you guys okay? You should'nt be making a fit in public." Rin said even though she usually is overerly loud in public herself.

Damn there was a group forming already. Not really that surprising though. Still it wouldn't hurt to watch for now hopefully they wouldn't notice her. Or the demon she was clinging to for that matter. Settling a little ways a way she refused to let go of Regal's arm. Reason one was there had to be another demon in that group. Reason to was that her also a nice heater. "So ghosty what'd you think is gonna happen now?" Her American ways always watching for a fight to entertain herself. Didn't give a real damn if anyone else didn't like that.

Was he surprised that Cassidy wasn't going to let go of his arm anytime soon? Nope. "Maybe but it's a mixed group of three I believe or maybe two. There's a R.A.I, a demon, and maybe another demon or human. Can't tell though." Casually standing were he was eyes trained on the people in now group of four with slight interest. If another demon saw him and his companion they probably wouldn't approve of his relation with the young girl next to him.

Ignoring Regal and Cassidy, Matt stared at Rin and Kei. "Look out. I think one is a R.A.I..." he murmured. "Please! You're a human. Unless you have a sixth sense, you're totally weird," Natildei replied. "Lemme see......" Matt began to walk over, but Natildei stuck her foot out, and he tripped on the ground. "If you're right, boy, then you would be the only immature one here. "That does it! I'm not making a truce with you again!" Matt stomped away angrily. "Sorry. He gets mad easily. He's the only human I've ever seen! They're in a way weird..." Natildei confessed.

Soma and Sakura stared at Matt and Natildei. They had just entered the city and they already spotted trouble. "Is that Natildei?" Sakura spied. Soma looked over and nodded.

"It appears so," Soma smiled comically. Sakura looked again, this time past the group, and saw Rei and Kei.

"There's  another pair. Ones a demon, the other an R.A.I"

"A demon with an R.A.I? That's a strange pairing if I've ever seen one. Maybe I should talk to Natildei about it." Soma began walking towards the group.

"What about the mission!?" Sakura tried to stop him, but he covered his ears pretending not to hear. Sakura sighed and walked into the alley, so as not to appear to be with Soma. Soma walked over to the group, pushing his way through the people and he sighed loudly and obnoxiously.

"Well if it isn't Natildei!" Soma laughed. "When did you get to Tokyo?"

Matt turned and hid behind rubble, screaming. "Soma! I got here 2 minutes ago," Natildei said. "Why are you here? I presume with Sakura..." "Demons are EVIL!" Matt shuddered.

Soma laughed. "Yes, I just happen to be with my sister." Soma continued to laugh smugly, then stopping when he felt his sister glare at him like daggers in his back. "Anyways, I came here on a mission. Also, who's your friend over there?" Soma pointed to Matt, who was still hiding behind the corner.

 

Meanwhile, Sakura decided to let Soma do...whatever he planned on doing, and find Rei, who was with an R.A.I.

"Aww...thats mean...some demons aren't THAT evil..." Rin complained, standing by Matt's side.

"Why do you say that? We 'seemingly' caused the war? YA RIGHT..." Rin complained.

Rei sighed, crossing her arms.

"Rin, stop this nonsense...what is your problem?" she asked with a sigh.

Sakura walked the several blocks, trying to figure out where Rin went. She passed several people, but she tripped and fell over. "Ouch!" she groaned. Suddenly, a hand tapped her and helped her up. "Thank you, miss," Sakura nodded.

"No problem,"  Kazumi smiled back. Sakura bowed then continued  to walk away. Another demon? I better follow this one. With that, Kazumi slowly tailed Sakura, wanting to see where she was trying to go so badly.

Sakura continued to walk down the alley, finally spotting Rin, who was standing next to Matt. "There you are!" Sakura ran over. "I see you've found yourself and R.A.I?"

"Matt. And he's no friend. We called a truce, but he was idiotic enough to break it earlier than it was SUPPOSED TO!" Natildei responded. "I didn't want to have to do this..." Matt muttered, taking out his hand cannon. Natildei ran over and punched him in the nose, and he fell over. "Now be a good boy!" "I said you can't boss me around!" Matt quickly walked away and turned to the sky. "Because of my eyes, I look like a demon, which causes some problems..."

Soma smirked, and walked over to Matt. What an abominable creature. Soma looked down on him, staring without an facial expression. Then, he quickly transformed it into a terrifying face. "I am a demon!" Soma laughed wickedly. He waited for a moment, hoping Matt would pee his pants out of fear.

Sakura sighed, watching from the background. Guess there's no way to escape from him.

Rin turned to Matt, quiet serious.

"Sorry I had to appear so suddenly..." she said with a smile.

"I am Kei Nakamura and that is Rin Suzuki...Rin...is a demon...and I am a R.A.I, once owned by a human, however the war destroyed that person." Kei explained in her rather hearless voice.

Rin smirked, her hair covering her eyes and she was slightly laughing.

'I can't contain myself any longer...I need to know.' she thought.

Rin suddenly stumbled ahead, reaching an alleyway. Without warning, Rin transformed. Her transformations were rather harsh and made her go half insane before hand. She came out of the alleyway, turning straight to Sakura and Matt.

"Tell me...why are you here...? What is your mission?" she asked, smirking a bit.

"You have got to be kidding me..." Kei mumbled.

This really was an interesting group. Pushing Cassidy off him he walked up unfazed by the numerous demons that had let there skin peel. "So it looks like absolutely no one else here can control there temper or insanity for that matter." Fire licked at his hands he walked to the group Cassidy smiling behind him all to happy at the result of what may come to be. "Demons, humans, and a R.I.A all within a few feet of one another..........." 

So many people. So many different possibilities for violence. Trotting along her two swords swaying against he sides as she smiled. Being around demons wasn't a problem for her nor was the fact half of them were trying to scare the others. "So why's there a big group here and no one back there?" Self explanatory question if you knew what she meant by back there. More likely than not they wouldn't know until it got to them. SO much fun, so much violence, and so much adventure. At least life was interesting here.

"AAAAAHHH!" Matt screamed. Natildei patted Matt on the back. "There there, baby!" "I SAID TO STOP THAT!" "My, you're really cute when you're mad," Natildei replied, giggling. Matt ran away in a wreck alley. "He's got real problems. Why bother being around demons when he's scared to death of them? This afternoon he said he'd find a way to kill us! How stupid!"

Austin suddenly heard shouting a couple blocks away and by curiosity he went to find the source. When he arrived he saw a group of people mixed with humans, demons, and one R.A.I. Austin cocked his head. 'That's funny, if they're demons why aren't they eatting the humans? I'm starving.' "Hi." He said as he went up to the group with a blank expression. Austin's throat was starting to feel a little dry but he ignored it.

Rin transformed back into human form with a sigh. Kei seemed unaware of what just happened and was a bit confused.

"Nobody just wants to answer my questions these days..." Rin sighed, "But who really cares right!? I have human food to eat and eating souls is a pain without killing the human. And I really don't want to kill people!" she laughed.

Kei looked at Rin blankly.

"You're so weird." she sighed.

Rin ignored that and turned towards the new group: Austin, Cassidy, and Regal.

"Hello...sorry about that..." Rin said, still laughing a bit.

"If those demons are planning something, I need to be ready," Matt muttered. "How can I stop them if I'm afraid of them...?" "Maybe close your eyes?" a voice startled him. He turned to see a 'girl' behind him. "Who are are you?" He asked. "Are you...a demon?" "Demon? No. I am Ryo. Or Ryonda. Ryo slash Ryonda Makij." "Oh. You seem nice..." "Nice?" Ryo wondered. Matt sighed. "Hey! Wait a minute. You're a R.A.I!" "Indeed I am," Ryonda explained. Matt turned away. The first cute girl, and she's a R.A.I! Oh, god... Needa be extra careful with this one! Okay, Matt. You'll probably get killed by a demon before you escape, so make the best of it...this is WEIRD!

Soma rejoined his sister Sakura as the new people arrrived. Sakura didn't have the chance to respond to Rei as she was distracted by them.

"These people are dangerous," Sakura told Soma. Soma looked at the new girl, the one carrying the two swords.

"That human doesn't even realize just how much trouble she's in," Soma smiled wickedly.

Looking over her shoulder Cassidy kept her American arrogant smile. "Yes she does know what she's in. Honestly i'm American this isn't anywhere close to Hell in my opinion." Picking a fight with people who were most likely stronger than her. Ya not a smart move but it's so fun to pick fights. It's not like ghosty can't help settle it. They haven't even figured out much about it or even noticed him. 'Chilling thought when his true form is a over sized fire dragon with the power to destroy this city within minutes.'

Was he really one of the few demons against using everything they may have had? Though the fact his was already pretty powerful in his adjusted appearance may have said something. Silently watching the two interacting with Cassidy only just resisting the urge to join in painfully. 'They do anything they'll regret it.' Fiery eyes narrowed with the snakelike pupils retracting into pindrops. 

"This is...a crowd I guess. Sorry. I don't know most of the people here," Matt told Ryonda. "Are they friendly?" "Erg...sometimes. Depends on who they are. I can assure most of them will turn you into a lifeless corpse, if you tick them off." "Then I do not want to be here." Ryonda turned away back into an alleyway. "Wait! Come back!" "Tough luck," Natildei responded "AAAHH! Don't startle me like that!" "You like her, don't you?" "I DON'T!" "Mmmmhm. I think you do!" "I do not!" "Oh really?" "YEAH!"

 "It's alright," He said to Rin. Austin's dry throat was getting hard to ignore as the group continued to make a ruckus. 'Damn, I need some humans souls now or I'll go crazy.' He thought. Austin glanced at the humans one by one. 'I wonder if I can-' He mentally slapped himself. 'If I try to attack any of these humans, it's most likely those demons would turn me into a demon BBQ.' Austin did a quiet miserable sigh.
