I finally decided to create my own sig and wanted to use it, but I dunno how to implement it. Help plz?!?!?!Also, what is the max size of the sig area? (ie how many pixels wide and long can it be before it disappears because of the picture being too big?)

Upload it to a photosharing site. Tinypic.com is pretty easy since you don't need an account for it.

then you can either copy and paste the image into your sig

or

you can put the link inbetween [/img*] without the asterik and put that in your sig

i use photobucket then use the image url and paste in the signature. also my siggy is 972x212
