Need a bit of help with my seminar paper

Hello,

 

I hope someone can help me a bit :-)

 

I need to write a seminar paper about a comparison. One of my sub-headers is about programs that are similar to Head Start or rather about programs that support young children, who live in low-income families, (and their families) to prepare them for school etc.

Can you name a few and what they do? I'm not quite sure because I only know about Head Start and not living in the USA I don't know which of the others are any good at all.
