Somewhat based off Tomb Raider (2013)

 

Story

You are traveling with others on a cruise ship for vacation. During your vacation, the ship sails into the Dragon’s Triangle, east of Japan and is suddenly struck by a sudden violent storm. The ship starts to get badly damaged and everything flashes before your eyes. The next thing you know, you wake up on a stranded island with none of the other passengers in sight. Also this stranded island holds many secrets that were hidden from the world for centuries. With danger lurking around every corner, will you survive to find a way off this island or will you perish without the hopes of anybody ever finding you?

Basics:

-there are other people on this island besides the survivors with guns, so guns are allowed

-you'll obtain your weapon a little later on after the RP has started

-you start off alone in the RP but you will come across other survivors from the ship wreck eventually

Rules:

~KH13 RP rules and guidelines apply

~if your character dies, you can make more, just don’t go too crazy

~There will be gore but don’t get too crazy with it

~ Keep romance at PG14

Appearance:Black oval glasses and a large black steel coat in which covers most of his body with an assortment of small silver pieces in random areas adorning it, his grey pants barely show between the limit of the coat and he has black t-shoes with rouge and black checkerboard laces About 5"11 with black hair and rouge eyes

 

Personality: Caring, happy, normally calm. he will do anything to protect his friends

 

Weapon: Void's End and Grand Tear of End (Description in the post, Grand Tear has the dagger insert)

okay then, let's get started shall we

 

Marisa lifted her head up from the sand, some of it sticking to her face. "What...what the hell?" she muttered. "What happened.." She pushed herself to her feet, dusting more sand off her clothes and looked around. Nobody was in sight. All that was around were trees that lead to a forest up ahead and the rest of the coastline. Her legs and arms were covered in a few bruises. She turned around to see the cruise ship she was just on, wrecked completely along the shore. She panicked a bit while looking around frantically. "This can't be happening....where am I. Where is everyone? 

Ryu coughed as she woke up. She felt a sharp pain and looked over to see that her left leg was stuck under a large piece of metal. She struggled to push the metal up just enough to slip her leg out and the large metal piece slashed into the water with a thud. Ryu looked out towards the rest of the wrecked ship and her eyes widened. What happened to everyone else, she thought and pushed herself up to her feet, her left leg still numb.  And where did that storm come from; it just came out of nowhere. 

Derik woke with a start, but kept his eyes closed. "God damn. One time I take a vacation, I get stuck in a ship wreck in some god forsaken island in the middle of no where. I wonder..." He reached to his back. "Yup. At least I had these forged before I got here. It would-a sucked if I lost them." He opened his eyes to the sky, clouds of grey from the storm hung over still. He felt leaves under him. "I'm in a firetrucking tree. A FIRE TRUCKING TREE." He looked left, then right to find a save way down, but there was none. He pulled out Void's end and stabbed it into the thick trunk of the tree. He hopped off the trunk and held onto the blade, the blade only slightly sliding up and cutting through the tree in response. He wasn't too far off the ground, so he just removed the sword from the trunk and dropped down and heard a man scream "OUCH!"

"Hey, however let you into my cabin, tell em next time bring room service" The man's mouth opened wide with the highly sarcastic tone he used, "I'm warning you, though, I won't hesitate to kill you if you won't get off and out."

"Well, grumpy old man, if you wanna kill me, you better do it before I do!" Derik said jokingly, before jumping off the old man,

"Tch. Well, Derik, you never do let a man rest. Did you ever tell your brother that I hated him for dumping you on me?" The man said, refusing to get up and pulling his blanket up to him.

"Yeah, Ray just laughed. You know, we're not on the boat you know?"

"What do you mean?"

"I mean the boat got shipwrecked and I was on a tree and you have Poison Ivy ON YOUR FACE."

The man stood up and looked for the plant, scratching at his face looking for it, then being enraged to find it was a lie. "You know, Derik, you suck."

"Whatever Jaze. Whatever."

Marisa paced along the shoreline, walking over and around any debris that was in her way. This whole vacation ended up in a disaster...she thought and stopped walking. There wasn't a body in sight. "HELLO!?" she yelled but didn't hear anything besides waves crashing against the rocks. There was a loud thud and Marisa looked over to see that someone nearby. She slowly climbed over a metal part sticking out of the ground and saw a girl nearby wondering about. The girl looked over to see Marisa. "So I'm not the only survivor of this wreck.." the girl said and made her way over to Marisa. Marisa seemed relieved as she slid down. She grabbed the girl's shoulders and said. "Thank goodness i thought i was going to die alone on this island! I'm Marisa." The girl took Marisa's hands off her shoulders and said "I'm Ryu." "Come on we need to find more people that survived this wreck." Marisa grabbed onto to Ryu's wrist and started dragging her while quickening her pace along the shore. Nice to meet you too...., Ryu thought but didn't bother to start complaining

Jaze's old ears started to hear some commotion in the distance. He grabbed Derik and ran towards the sounds, Derik's feet dragged.. "Wahh! Why are we running!?"

"Because, smarty, there are other survivors and we need to see if they need help!" He continued to drag Derik's overly heavy body over to where the sounds were coming from. "Oi! Are you too OK?" he yelled at Marisa and Ryu, who were walking along the shore.

"More or less..." Ryu said as got her arm out of Marisa's grip and rubbed her wrist. Man, she's strong, Ryu thought and sighed. "Great so that makes four of us now! Now a way off this island....I've got nothing." Marisa said and looked over at Jaze and Derik. "I actually remember seeing you two around the ship a few times. It's glad to see that you're okay." Marisa crossed her arms. "But i doubt everyone survived that crash...."

"More or less..." Ryu said as got her arm out of Marisa's grip and rubbed her wrist. Man, she's strong, Ryu thought and sighed. "Great so that makes four of us now! Now a way off this island....I've got nothing." Marisa said and looked over at Jaze and Derik. "I actually remember seeing you two around the ship a few times. It's glad to see that you're okay." Marisa crossed her arms. "But i doubt everyone survived that crash...."

"Thanks. And it's not likely." Jaze put his hand to his chin, trying to think of something to say next.

"W-wait. People are dead?" Derik looked a little scared.

"No, a boat filled to the brim with people not prepared for a severe storm and a practically sinking boat had ALL of its passengers be survivors." Jaze gave a sarcastic, slightly annoyed tone.

"T-that's good." Relaxing a bit.

"I was being sarcastic, you genius! Of course people died."  Jaze said, kinda annoyed.

"..." Derik fell on the floor and cried.

"God. You are such a wimp compared to Ray."

"Well what did you expect? With a bad crash like that, it's a miracle that we're still alive." Ryu said and placed her hands on her hips. Her tone was blunt ad a bit annoyed. "But now it's not the time to sit here and mourn. We have to find shelter soon." "Geez since when did you become the leader of all this? Either way Ryu is right. We have to look for somewhere to stay." Marisa pulled Derik back up to his feet. "Just forget about all of that for now, okay?" "By the way, Who's Ray?" Ryu asked and looked at Jaze
 

"Well what did you expect? With a bad crash like that, it's a miracle that we're still alive." Ryu said and placed her hands on her hips. Her tone was blunt ad a bit annoyed. "But now it's not the time to sit here and mourn. We have to find shelter soon." "Geez since when did you become the leader of all this? Either way Ryu is right. We have to look for somewhere to stay." Marisa pulled Derik back up to his feet. "Just forget about all of that for now, okay?" "By the way, Who's Ray?" Ryu asked and looked at Jaze

 

Derik was slumped over. "... I..." He couldn't speak.

Jaze sighed. "Derik here's bigger brother. Long story short, I was stuck in a video game with him. I swear, I am going to just stop doing things if it means I get sucked into adventures every few seconds..." He scratched the back of his head. "So, we need things for survival and we need to start thinking of ways to escape, a raft would be the most obvious, but also most lethal. Its more likely that the raft will result in only one of us surviving, and that is if we were found. It's probably going to be safer to stay here until rescue teams arrive. So, anyone have any idea of where the main kitchen ended up?"

"I can't answer that. But if we leave with meager supply's and a bad ship its more likely we will die." Jaze turned his attention to the ship. "Food, water, cooking supply's, and maybe even a sterilization and desalinization kit for situations that it may be needed in. If we have those, we can survive for longer."

"Okay then! Let's not waste time before night time comes." Marisa said rubbing her hands together then scurrying over to the shore and started looking around the huge pile of debris. Ryu looked over at Derik and Jaze. "You hear her. Let's start looking things that may aid us." Seriously, how is she so hyper and loud in a situation like this? Ryu thought as she started walking over to the debris. Her leg started throbbing a but with pain but she ignored it. We need to find somewhere to rest soon also...

Derik just kinda sat there, depressed looking. "Derik, normally your super happy. What's got you so far down?"

"...I had this girl on the ship that I..."

"Oh, one of those... I'm sorry to hear that, man. But come on, if she liked you at all, even if just as a friend, she wouldn't wanna see you moping about something you can't control."

Derik looked up, his vision blurred when looking at Jaze. "... I... I see..." He stood up, and went over to the wreckage, looking through some of the rubble of the kitchen.

"He really still is just a kid at heart. Fourteen and already in love, but such a softie, he cries at something like that, when we very well don't know if she died in the wreck. He was launched into a tree, so its possible she is somewhere on this island..." He looked over at the ship and decided to thank the gods that at least Derik was alright. He then snapped out of it and ran into the kitchen, opening the door to a fridge that was still in tact. Surprisingly, not only was is still somehow powered, but it was full of fresh foods and things. Derik then yelled out "I found some pans! They look like a fish could be very tasty if cooked in!"

"That dork." Jaze chuckled to himself. "How about some lamb chops? That's what I found!"

Ryu looked up. "All i really found that could be useful was a few lighters." "And I got a first aid kit!" Marisa shouted while waving the first aid kit in the air. Both girls walked over to Derik and Jaze. "How did all that food not get destroyed in the boat wreck?" Ryu asked. Marisa shrugged and said "It must have been a miracle or something." She looked around in the fridge. "Come on, let at least get some food in our stomachs before something bad happens. Ryu, go start a fire." Ryu sighed and went to go look for some dry twigs near some of the trees

Ryu, go start a fire." Ryu sighed and went to go look for some dry twigs near some of the trees

"We have to make it small. and look for the twigs buried in the dry sand, twigs and sticks in the forest like area and wet sand are going to be moist, they don't light well." Jaze said, Derik looked at him funny.

"Well, look who payed attention to Survivor yesterday~" Derik remarked.

"Hey, we need it now, so don't get snappy with me when we're sitting by a nice fire tonight!" Jaze shot back.

It's already sunset... she thought as she saw the red orange color in the sky. She sighed and buried some of her face into her scarf. ~Marisa shuffled on over to Jaze and Derik with a bag of marshmallows in her hand. "There's a lot of food in there but nothing says the outdoors like having marshemallows eh?" she said as if she completely forgot that they werent on a camping trip. "Come on. Let's start roasting them!"

She sighed and buried some of her face into her scarf. ~Marisa shuffled on over to Jaze and Derik with a bag of marshmallows in her hand. "There's a lot of food in there but nothing says the outdoors like having marshemallows eh?" she said as if she completely forgot that they werent on a camping trip. "Come on. Let's start roasting them!" 

"Yum! I haven't had roasted marshmallows in a long time!" Derik squealed with joy.

"Jeez, its just a marshmallow Derik, no need to screech. But I will admit: Its been a long time since I had one." Jaze plucked out a for for himself, holding them above the fire with his bare hands.

"Jaze, you do know how you can furn yourself around fire... Right?

"No, Derik, what is a burn?" Jaze said sarcastically.

"Oh, its when you..."

"I was being sarcastic. I know what a burn is. I wouldn't be much of a scientist, let alone a person if I didn't know what a burn was." Jaze drily said, before pulling his hand back. 3 perfectly cooked marshmallows were soon stuffed into Jaze's mouth. "Ya know... Its off, but I think I needed a vacation from that vacation. I've been on that ship for far too long now."

Ryu swallowed a marshmallow without cooking it. "Have you forgotten that we're stranded on an unknown island with us being the only survivors here." Ryu said bluntly. "I wouldn't exactly call this a vacation. Plus we're going to run out of food eventually." Marisa wolfed down a few more marshmallows in her mouth. "Well then how we go exploring first thing tomorrow morning." she said pointing over to the path that lead to the forest. "We're bound to find some useful stuff over there." 

Ryu swallowed a marshmallow without cooking it. "Have you forgotten that we're stranded on an unknown island with us being the only survivors here." Ryu said bluntly. "I wouldn't exactly call this a vacation. Plus we're going to run out of food eventually." Marisa wolfed down a few more marshmallows in her mouth. "Well then how we go exploring first thing tomorrow morning." she said pointing over to the path that lead to the forest. "We're bound to find some useful stuff over there." 

"Well, unless its the path to Illfang, its more likely that the most we will find is a Cheetah ripping out our throats. First, we should survey the area around the Island, look for direct paths to its center or for any civilization on the coast's. If none exist, then we take that path, but we go less dangerous first." Jaze said, Derik looked at him funny. "Well, I was a tactics master in gaming, and I did have to live in the woods for a few months. I have some experience."

Marisa's eyes kinda shrunk a little at the sounds of being killed brutally by an animal. "Hehe....great. I'll be looking forward to that." "Okay then well I guess we'll do just that first thing in the morning. I'm going to call it a night. Goodnight" Ryu said and lied back in the sand. Marisa frowned. "But i'm not tired... Oh well, I guess it's best to go to sleep. We don;t even know what time it is." She looked at Jaze and Derik with her eyes narrowed. "Don't even think about trying anything, you got that?" They went silent for a moment but Marisa just laughed. "Just kidding. G'night guys."

"Good night!" Derik pulled back the collar of his coat, revealing a hood, and he laid in the sand, falling asleep.

"Insomnia has its good points..." Jaze said, as he picked up a stick and tended to the fire, adding kindling and watching out for animals and enemy's that could attack their group, or other refugees looking for a place to keep warm and dry.

~Later~ Marisa woke up and stretched her arms towards the sky. "Ahh~ Good morn-" she started to say but saw that everyone was still asleep. She got up and sighed. "Seriously, you people are just a bunch of bed heads." she said and looked over towards the woods. She grinned a little. They won't mind me doing some head start exploring right, she thought and made her way quietly into the woods. There was a bunch of cricketing sounds and the tress were ruffling in the wind. Just as i thought, nothing dangerous here. A nearby bush started to ruffle but Marisa didn't notice it

~Later~ Marisa woke up and stretched her arms towards the sky. "Ahh~ Good morn-" she started to say but saw that everyone was still asleep. She got up and sighed. "Seriously, you people are just a bunch of bed heads." she said and looked over towards the woods. She grinned a little. They won't mind me doing some head start exploring right, she thought and made her way quietly into the woods. There was a bunch of cricketing sounds and the tress were ruffling in the wind. Just as i thought, nothing dangerous here. A nearby bush started to ruffle but Marisa didn't notice it

Jaze jumped out of said rustling bush, snarling like a bear. "Thought me asleep, did you? Well, next time, don't" He looked over at Marisa. "And next time, make sure to have a guard shift posted. I was watching out all night for dangers." he yawned, scratching his neck. "A coffee would be awesome right now, but they didn't have any beans or a coffee maker in the rubble."

Marisa jumped, a little startled. "Dammit, don't scare me like that!" she said and crossed her arms. "You nearly gave me a panic attack and you should have a least gotten some sleep last night. No sleep messes up the mind" There was a growling sound and Marisa jumped again. "W-what was that?" she asked and the growling got louder

"Meow!" Derik popped up. "I tried to tell him, but he didn't listen to me!" Derik was walking on all fours, a tail and a set of small ears were on his head. "My dad is one-eighth cat!" Hr stood up on all fours. "Normally doesn't come in handy, but when you need to fish, you need to fish." He was shouldering a bunch of fish on a crude wood pole. "Jaze decided to scare whoever of you two woke up first a little. Mow." He tucked his ears down and his tail receded.

"Sometimes Derik, I wonder why your Ray's parent's divorced, then I remember you and it makes sense." Jaze said sarcastically. He knew the real reason, but that was another place and time.
