Hey everyone, how's it going? I hope your all doing okay! You know something, I've been listening to rock music since about 2007 or 2008, and over the course of these years, I've gone on to listen to many many bands, and I have to say the variety and wealth of music is awesome. But lately there are some bands that are losing steam, like Linkin Park. I mean seriously, they were epic for many years, including 2009, but then from then on, their music started to sound weird and I got really drawn away from Linkin Park, and instead, I'm listening to their older songs. What I mean to say is, that so many bands have changed their musical style that sometimes it's good, but other times it can be disastrous. To me, some of the bands that have always been great and continue on their road to greatness are Skillet, 30 Seconds To Mars and System Of A Down. These bands that I've mentioned have stuck closely to the musical styles that have made them famous, and they've added tiny differences during the course of their albums, but the changes have been good. In my opinion, Skillet's best album was Comatose, which released on the year 2006. Another notable band that released an album in that year was Three Days Grace, when they released their album One X. I've listened to lots of songs from 2006, and, comparing to the more modern ones, the ones from 2006 sound seemingly better. I know that most people will say that the best era of rock was in the 80's or 90's, and I agree with those people, but since I'm a more recent rock aficionado, I look fondly back to 2006. So then everyone, do you think 2006 was a good year for rock, or do you think another year did it better? Thoughts and comments below. ^_^
