Anyone here ever tried?

I am infatuated with sky-blue or navy-blue eyes and I reckon they would go really well with my Organisation XIII coat.

It was a close call between yellow contacts and beautiful-blue contacts but I went for the blue color.

Does it hurt when you put contacts in? I don't need glasses and have never worn contacts before so I don't know anything about contacts. Is there an expiry date to them?

Does anyone know an Australian store which sells them?

I require corrective lenses and I prefer contacts to glasses. I don't know about cosplay contacts but corrective contacts do not expire. Putting them in shouldn't hurt as long as you make sure you wash your hands well before applying them. There may be some discomfort at first but the more you do it the more accustomed you will become and the less uncomfortable it will be.

As for applying them, make sure they're inside-out when you apply them. Place one on your forefinger and look at it closely.  If the edges flare outward slightly, they're inside out. Just turn them right side in like you would a shirt out of the drier.

When it comes to application, make sure they're well lubricated. Place your thumb of your opposite hand on your bottom eyelid and the forefinger on the upper one and hold your eye open because your body will instinctively want to blink when your other forefinger nears it. Role your eyes up slightly, but not all the way. Gently place the forefinger of the other hand with the contact on the eye and your done. Release your eyelids and blink a few times to shift it into place. You may tear up after applying them. This is normal.

To remove the contacts, grip your upper eyelid and gently pull it forward then down so it overlaps the lower lid. This should force the lens out while at the same time minimizing contact with the eye.

When not in use store the contacts in a contact case containing a saline solution. Do not use water. Rinse them with the saline solution and rub gently before each application them to get rid of any particulates. Do the same when storing them to remove the eye fluid. If you aren't using them for a long period of time, say a month, occasionally replace the saline solution because it will eventually evaporate even in a closed case.

Also, even if they become irritated try to refrain from rubbing your eyes when wearing the contacts as this will cause them to shift, ruining your look and causing discomfort. Excessive rubbing may also cause the contacts to tear, requiring replacements.

You should not sleep in them because they actually deprive your eyes of oxygen which could cause chronic dry eyes and possible vision damage. That being said if you occasionally forget to take them out it's not a big deal. My optometrist says it takes about a moth of continuous uninterrupted use for any damage to occur.

I know this sounds like a lot of work but it's actually easier done than said.

I'm an American so I can't help you with finding a store in Australia.

I wear contact lenses, and no it doesn't hurt...Unless you get an eyelash under them...Then it hurts like hell.

Using contact lens are fine, especially when you need them to see normally. Using cosmetic contact lens are hard to do when you're still new to it. It'll take time to get used to. Isama_Kuno has already explained it all. You can orde online if you want. That's the best way if you don't know where to get your pair. Though cosplay contacts cost much because they are not sold in pairs(usually).
