To start out, this is a (very sappy) poem I wrote about Ventus and Vanitas. They've both suffered a LOT, and...well, read it for yourself.

(sappy poem is sappy...)

Only Both

Two broken pieces,

Ventus, Vanitas,

Shining light and blistering dark,

one and the same through diffrence so stark.

This is the story of their lives,

so let us start with shining light.

Ventus---so confused, afraid

but through trial grew to be brave

Thanks to a warning from the dark,

he went on a journey to rescue a heart...

a heart that later learned to succumb

and broken again, this boy was.

Now he rests, in balance be,

waiting for someone to come with a key

to unlock his heart and return it to him

though his light grows ever dim

Blistering dark was far from better

then shining light, with hope in a letter.

This one...had none, he was distraght,

shadow of the one he fought.

Unversed---that was the name

of the creatures that tortured, filled him with shame.

Fight as he may, he was fighting himself

'till he broke down in tears on that high barren shelf.

He was then told what he must do

to break free---be born anew.

Though he tried to find his own light,

in the end, it was death that was right

Both of the pieces have suffered much,

to their own form of hope they did clutch.

But had they decided a collaberation,

they might have found a better equation.

One where both sides got what they want,

without the memories that ever taunt.

Maybe one day they'll realize

what each one needed the other had inside.

(ending soooo sapppyyyyy)
