I forgot how good this game was. There are some things that don't exactly make too much sense having played BBS prior to this and jumping right into this (as to be expected seeing as how it was made years prior), however it's been SO long since we've had a console game and it feels good to be playing it on a TV again. However, there are SOME things that are creepily spot on as if Nomura had been planning a prequel since the first day he wrote it.
For example, the conversation between Possessed Riku and Sora after beating Dragon Maleficent. "She was just ANOTHER puppet after all." Being that she made Terra into a puppet to steal Aurora's heart in BBS (with the help of Xehanort whose heartless was possessing Riku). I know it's just a minor thing but it's kind of creepy to think about how much detail Nomura may have studied the original game before making Birth By Sleep.
Also, I was always curious to know what "sleeping power" Maleficent was referring to prior to Sora entering Hollow Bastion that magically helped him gain a keyblade and now I know it was the power Terra gave him in BBS.
I don't know where I'm going with this except that this game was WAY better after playing BBS and not having played a console game in so long and Nomura is kind of creepy with how accurately he planned out the connections between BBS and the rest of the Kingdom Hearts games that were chronologically after BBS.
