In the year 3225, the land of alfheim has been in an endless war for six years, it has been given the name “The Mahou Kagaku War”. It has turned most of the land into a burnt landscape which would make any civilian weep in sorrow of their once beautiful land. Anyway my name is Takeo gaara I am private first class of the 44th magic squadron. My story starts six months before the end of the war. As I was going to have a rest after being out on the front-line for the whole day, when I got to the barracks, I slowly stumbled over to my bunk and laid down. Even though there was the sound of explosions showering down on the area, I somehow went to sleep without a thought on my mind. But that night changed my life so abruptly. I had such a weird dream I heard the sound of a siren going off, then I saw a grandfather clock chiming non-stop, a man spewing up blood, a magical barrier starting to de-materialize and then I saw my friend standing on the battlefield just before a flash of light encloses over him. And with a sudden jolt I woke up with a massive headache wondering about the dream, it felt so life-like it
was scary. For five minutes I racking my brain trying to figure out what was
real and what was not. Then I decided it shouldn't be something I should be
worrying about at a time like this. As I was walking down one of the support
line trenches I heard the sound of the siren just as a ray of light passes in
front of me. I shouted out to the others about our situation and with that our
squadron quickly got into formation and began to chant a spell for a defensive
barrier, otherwise we wouldn't last two hours. The group that suddenly attack us
was quickly pushed back. So we re-enforced the barrier just in case another attack
were to happen. The other squad members started going back to relaxing and
regaining energy, because they didn't know when they were going to need to fight
again. As I started to walk over to the barracks I saw one of the other squadron
members on the ground hunched over when I got closer to him I noticed that there
was blood on the ground. I almost tripped backwards as I thought back to the dream…
no it can’t be it must be just a coincidence. I slowly stepped backwards and then turned around and ran towards the barracks I fell down into bed and closed my eyes. Next thing I knew there was loud explosions not that it was anything new, but when I was getting up I heard a very annoying chiming in the background as I walked over to where I thought the sound was coming from. I fell over backwards
at what I had seen. It was a grandfather clock, I didn’t even notice that people were
looking at me in a strange way until a few moments later. But that wasn’t what was
worrying me, something was not right things were that in my dream were appearing
in front of me one by one. As the squad leader came over to where I was I had
decided that it would be better if I pretend that nothing had happened. After telling
him a white lie I went back over to my bed and sat down and tried to remember what had happened in it. “This cannot be happening” I thought to myself. “This is just too much” suddenly a scary thought came to my mind, there was only five things that happened in my dream and I remember that three of them have already happened. Meaning two of them have yet to come. That night as most of the soldiers that kept a lookout during the day were asleep, the squadron leader burst through the door shouting “THE BARRIER IS FALLING”. We all jumped up from our bunks, wide awake and started running out of the building as we saw the barrier de-materializing right before our eyes. I then got really scared as I remembered
what the last part of the dream was. It was one of my friends standing right in
front of me just before being killed. I then decided that I should stay close to
him and watch out for any sign of danger. For 3 hours we fought with the side
of science many of our squadron member died around us but the enemy also
lost many of theirs too, then everything went quiet that you could only hear the
crackling of embers that were falling from the flames around the battlefield.
I quickly turned around just as I saw a wall of light in the distance coming towards
us at an extremely fast speed. I turned to my friend and ran towards him as fast
as I could and pushed him to the ground and out of the way, just as I am swallowed
up by the wall of light. On that night I decided my fate.
