Exorcist Saga: End of Destruction

Posted

SIGN-UPS ARE STILL OPEN

HERE IS THE STORY

100 years ago after the events of Ao no Exorcist: Dawn of a New Age

Lance, his wife, Lilith, and his friends were given a warning

A warning of an Apocalyptic Cataclysm.

A mysterious man in a hood gave them this warning to heed.

They did heed and trained for it.

But one thing was certain..

They were not prepared for it.

An invasion of aliens, called Kura, invaded Assiah.

Almost like demons, they quickly dismantled Assiah's government, military, and more importantly, its Exorcist and Ancient DemonSlaying techniques.

Lance and everyone else (from last RP) were captured and taken in as war prisoners.

Including the Olympic gods that were once helping Assiah.

Even worse, they banned all books of the art of Exorcism and DemonSlaying and anyone who was caught learning was punishable by death without trial.

Furthermore, anyone who were born with any special powers were automatically executed at birth or apprehended.

And it's leader?

None other than Chaos, the Creator of the Olympic gods.

Now, arises a new era of DemonSlayers

Equipped with none other than weapons either from Kura tech or a demons sealed power,

Or maybe even a power they've gained through birth.

They must fight against this new threat

Without any help from higher ups

Without any help from the government

Without any help from other nations.

It's been 50 years since.

.....All we have... Is each other....

We hide in the shadows..

We survive in the shadows..

We befriend the shadows...

Therefore, we call ourselves....

......DUSK.....

LETS GET STARTED

Ren Kazuya looked through his scope of his assault rifle. He was laying down in a guerrilla position to get a clear shot of his enemy. There were two Kura soldiers about 20 meters in front of him. He was in the forest near an enemy camp on a recon mission with around 4 other people with him. Their mission was to compromise the Kura's connections with the main base while getting information about Chaos' whereabouts. "Hologram Optics" Ren said as he pressed a button on his advanced assault rifle. Three rings appeared in front of his scope to help him get a silent headshot. "When I shoot, handle the other one. We've gotta be quiet or else the other Kura will come," Ren whispered to his men. "Where are the gods?" A soldier said sarcastically. Ren shot and killed his target with a headshot. The suppressor on his gun made no sound as it made contact with the Kura's head. Two other men quickly dispatched the other Kura who panicked in confusion. Ren got out of his hiding spot and looked at the dead Kuras.

"The gods can't help us now. We're on our own."

Kasai Spear sheathed her katana, strapping it to the special belt that was ment to hold weapons around her waist. She put on her brown, leather shoulder bag and then her black hoodie, looking at the last picture she had of her parents.

"I'm going out now...." She muttered, putting on her hood.

Kasai lived in an abandon, yet surprisingly well-looking house. She had to abandon their old house. Kasai opened the door, locking it behind her, and pushing the key in her bag. She started walking towards the woods, keeping her face hidden from the few people she had to walk passed. Getting to the forest ment she had to get through the town. She walked on the sidewalk, about three people stopping her. These weren't people and Kasai knew that. All three of them were Kura.

"Say, what's your name?" The tallest one asked.

Kasai smiled slightly.

"I would be asking you that question." She said in a voice rather innocent then her normal voice.

"Forget names...wouldn't you like to come with us?" The shorter one asked.

They were all guys...Kura at that. No wonder they would ask stuff like this. Kasai's face stay hidden though.

"Suure..." She muttered, a small...evil grin on her face.

"She's in!" The one that hasn't spoken yet said.

The three lead her down an ally, Kasai not saying a word until they were in darkness.

"Idiots." She said bluntly, her voice darker.

Kasai unsheathed her sword, chopping the shortest one's head off and stopping the other two before they could get away. The tallest grabbed her from behind and she kicked them in the groin.

"Die...Kura." She snapped, stabbing the tallest in the right abdomen.

The mid-length one was next.

"No! I'm sorry!" He yelled.

Kasai got disturbingly close to his face.

"Why should I spare you then?" Kasai asked, her voice now rather husky.

She stabbed her katana right in the man's heart, twisting her weapon in the mans flesh.

Once she had killed the three, she sheathed her sword, wiping the blood from her face.

Kasai kept her hood up, walking out of the ally then calmly towards the woods.

Lira smirked as the lesser Kura were killed on sight. Lira took a kunai of hers, twirling it around between her fingers as Kasai walked off amd three of the Kura were slain. (Allies? As good of an offense the Kura have, they clearly lack the experience needed for a good enough defense strategy. I'll need to speak to the tactician sometime.) Lira thought to herself. With a sigh, she began transforming again. (Not a bad mother you have. Eh, Kasai?) She thought. With a few mere seconds, Lira took the form, voice, clothing, and even weapon of Lilith Spear. (This can be used...later.) Lira reverted to her normal form.

"Your orders are clear, Fayette." A man spoke down to the woman. "Hmph. Are they?" Fayette smirked and pressed her cheek against her fist, leaning back against the chair and right armrest. "I've ordered you to kill him! Ren Kazuya! He's out on the battlefield against the Kura, anyway. Why are you refusing!?" The man began scolding and set a gun to her head. "Such vigor. But you wouldn't dare to pull the trigger on such a renowned mercenary. You need me." Fayette calmly closed her eyes and quietly flicked the top of her scabbard, unsheathing the sword, but only a few inches of it. Just to make it looser. "I would! I can get plenty of money from DUSK just from killing you. Now kill Ren!" The man ordered once more, as futilely as before. Fayette merely sighed. "As I've said before, perhaps I would. However, those were not my orders." Fayette muttered again, just as another, younger man came into the room. "Ma'am, your boss's pay is here for you as soon as you're done with the business here." He said. Fayette glared at him cruelly. "How many times have I told you? When it comes to titles in the military, higher-ups are referred to as 'sir', regardless of their sex. And so, even in a mercenary organization, refer to me as such." Fayette said to the other man. "Yes, ma— sir!" He exclaimed, before leaving again.

The man from before stood, confused but still with a gun to her head. "Wh-what? Business? Another boss? I'm your boss! And I ordered you to kill Ren!" He began yelling again. Fayette glared coldly, "My boss? Perhaps you were. You're quite the fool, though. After all, you were born into this position, unlike I, who's still rising the ranks myself." Fayette stood up. "And allow me to clarify." Her sword went straight through the man's stomach and his gun fell to the ground as Fayette kicked it away. "Your statements were correct. I was ordered to kill Ren. However," Fayette took the sword out from him and swiftly chopped down his hands. "My orders to kill you had a higher pay. And not only financially." Fayette smirked, and cut the man down finally by the pulse of the neck. He bled to death. "With you down, I get to rise my own ranks as well." Fayette kept her calm demeanor and threw her now bloody gloves onto the corpse of her higher-up, putting on cleaner ones amd walking out.

(Alright, keep in mind Kasai's senses are above average because of her fathers inheritance.)

Kasai stopped walking, turning around. She looked in the direction of Lira.

"Who's there?" she asked, placing her hand on her katana.

She only had one of her weapons here with her, so it was slightly harder for her to fight.

"I know someone's here so you can't hide from me." Kasai said seriously.

She removed her hood, revealing her face.

Lira simply scoffed. (She's awfully adept at being able to know if anyone's there or not. Just like Lance, I suppose.) Lira thought before transforming into a bird and flying off, too far above Kasai for her to attack. She soared above the trees and through the sky, glaring to all she found. (I wonder if I'll find a nice body somewhere here to use.....) She kept thinking, before finally perching on a tree several yards behind Ren Kazuya. Lira was no colorful, playful bird though. Right now, she was a 'Crow.'Fayette burst open the door and to her most recent employer. "He's dead. Now we're both up a rank or two." Fayette uttered, grabbing the money she was promised before heading out. "I'll probably get another guy to kill soon." She whispered under her breath to herself, grabbing a simplistic tissue from someone else and wiping off the blood from her sword before tossing it down to the ground and sheathing her sword in her scabbard. As she walked out the door, she went to the side, in what seemed like a storage closet. She twisted a key in and opened it, quickly grabbing a rocket launcher and a few spare rockets, closing it back and heading out. "It'd be nice to kill some Kura in the meantime. Most of my assignments are to kill the DUSK anyways."

Kasai sighed, a crow? She gets worried too easily. She stared into the blood of the dead victims she had killed, placing her hand on her sword.

"I need to get my other Katana..." She muttered, heading home.

It took about five minutes before she got there, simply grabbing her other sheathe and sheathing the sword, latching it onto the other side of her waist. Kasai grabbed her mother and fathers picture, placing it in a pocket of her bag before putting her hood up and walking out.

It took her about twenty minutes to get to the forest. Kasai carefully walked upon the leaves, making her way pretty far. She used her speed, climbing quickly on an oak, looking at the trees around her. Kasai removed her hood, leaning back on the tree, unsheathing her right katana and placing the sword in her right hand, the sheath lay latched to her belt. She formed a small white flame in her hand, grabbing a twig and desegregating it.

"Mom was much more strong..." She muttered.

(sorry guys.. just trying to give the others time to make their first posts so that we don't leave them in the dust like the other 2 RP's xD)

(Haha! I understand. We have a tendency to do that....)

(Sorry...)

Crunch crunch crunch.

The sound of crackling leaves was audible beneath Silver's boots as he walked down a path, one littered with leaves, sticks, and similar items. His dual swords clanked against his back as he walked aimlessly, his arms swinging slightly as he walked with little purpose at all.

He didn't exactly know where he was, but it didn't matter to him. Silver was content with the walking--at least for now. He sighed, leaning against a tree as he took out a small pebble from his pocket and, out of boredom, tossed it up and down several times.

There wasn't much else to do at the moment; things were not as fun as it was with his father. Even if his father was a hell-raised psychotic demon who loved to see many humans die and suffer.

(Glad you posted, Silver...)

Kasai leapt right up, leaping down from the branch she was on and walking a bit further, she stopped walking when she heard a sigh. Kasai quickly climbed the tree she heard the sigh from. Looking down, she saw a boy. He was about her age, nothing special. However, this boy might be a demon. Quickly, Kasai jumped from the tree, landing a couple of feet from Silver, she was inches away from his face in a matter of seconds.

"Who are you? Are you planning something? What are you doing here?" she asked, her katana against the right side of his neck.

(Glad Silver posted... I think we have one more that has to post... If they don't post by 4:15.. I'll continue.. I apologize for the pause in the RP)

Ren and his team posted up behind trees to keep out of the Kura's line of sight. "What's the plan Ren?" One of his teammates asked. Ren looked at his smartphone embedded in his military suit on his forearm. "Activate: Eagle," Ren said as a hologram of an eagle popped up. Ren selected it and an eagle in the sky circled the area. "Thanks to Lance's help, we are able to make technology that will sense energy pressures in a radius compatible to the person's location," Ren said as he looked at the smartphone. "It says there is one behind us," Ren said as he looked up at a crow. He took his gun and shot at it. "Why? It's just a bird," A soldier asked him. "In this world, nothing is ever as it seems," Ren replied.

Lira as the crow quickly appeared to vanish. Leaving behind a few black feathers that were shot out, Lira flew away again, now as but a mere fly. Still, she'd be an extremely difficult target to shoot as a fly, considering she was flying away now, anyway. (Goddamn, he doesn't hesitate to kill anything. Whatever. I got most of his memories already, anyways.) Lira thought. Once far enough, she became a crow again and continued to fly off aimlessly."Damn Kura." Fayette grumbled, slashing one by its neck. Looking only slightly ahead, she could see what appeared to be endless trees as it was on her angle. The woods stretched out fairly far, unless they happened to be mistakenly blown up, it'd be rather hard to get out if you're deep in. Navigation prowess would help greatly though, if it happened to be the case. (If I'm at a high enough ground, I may be able to set a forest fire at a more vulnerable spot, where the flames will grow. It'll spread very well with all of this. I'll keep that in mind.) Fayette thought to herself, soon walking into the woods herself, with a sword still drawn.

(Lol the DUSK isn't an organization.. It's just a small group of survivors who are basically masters of combat.. Their bases are hidden though.. But think of DUSK as the Navy SEALS without a government to back them up)

(Sure. I'll edit :P Thanks for the clarification)

Silver jumped, his eyes opening wide as his neck pressed against the girl's blade; digging in as blood began to come out.

"M-My name is Silver," He said, "A-as for my intentions, I don't have much at the moment. My..father sent me out..to get out of his hair for the day." Silver explained, wishing he could question the girl herself. It wasn't everyday a girl hopped from a tree and placed a sword to your neck.

Kasai moved her blade to her side, looking at Silver sharply.

"Stop stuttering. Stuttering only shows that you're a weak little boy who can't stop bothering his father for stuff he shouldn't deserve." Kasai said a bit teasingly.

"I am Kasai Spear, age fifteen. I'm here because I saw a crow fly off this direction. It could be anywhere by now...anyway why does that matter?" she asked, sheathing her katana.

"I could have practiced my magic too...." she muttered.

"Sorry about that..." Kasai said after a short while.

Silver clenched his fist. This girl immediately ticked him off. To him, he stuttered from surprise. He wasn't weak--demon blood ran through his veins. That fact didn't mean much, but his 'human' emotions were dampened by the sincere fire that blazed through a demon's soul.

"Beyond your sudden attack, you don't have much to apologize for. I don't care about any crow, nor did I see any, if that's what you were wondering." Silver said, looking away.

A magic user? Interesting. At least, more interesting than what was happening two minutes prior. Silver thought.

"Go, go, go!" Ren yelled as they set a Kura camp into flames. They dispatched every Kura in the camp and looted their equipment and information about the nearest base. "Is everyone alright?" Ren shouted as he concentrated. "First Aid," Ren said. An orb of green light enveloped him and his allies healing whatever wounds they may have. "Lets get back!" Ren shouted as he headed for the forest. He held a paper with Kura plans in it. He waited until he got far from the Kura camp. It looked complex and hard to decode in Kura language. "Probably one of the professors back at our little hideout can decode these," Ren said as he looked in the sky to find his mechanical friend following him.

"I'm not wondering anything. You scared me if anything." Kasai said seriously.

She looked at Silver, immediately then turning around.

"Anyway, I'm leaving now." she said, beginning to walk off.

For a second, Kasai made a small white flame in her hand, banishing it. Its not like Silver could see the flame. Hopefully he didn't see the flame.

"Fire?" He asked, "Interesting power." Silver said, smiling.

He sighed, then. So much for the sudden event that sparked his interest. Silver looked for the pebble, sighing once more when he saw the he had dropped it on the ground. So much for that, too.

Silver closed his eyes, trying to search in his brain something that wouldn't tear him off his boredom. There had to be a reason he was here--something more than just being there due to his father's lessening patience.

Kasai tensed up, looking back at Silver.

"Not just regular fire. White Flames." she said a bit quietly, hopping into a nearby tree.

Silver was still in sight so no doubt he could hear her.

"I'm surprised you haven't figured out who I am." she said, placing her hand on her katana's.

With her right hand clenching a sword, her left hand holding a small pistol, and a rocket launcher latched onto her back, Fayette continued plowing through the woods. Nothing but trees and insects as far as she could tell. She turned her head quickly as soon as the bushes rustled beside her. (A Kura? Maybe someone from DUSK....) she thought. Her gunfire went off as she shot the pistol straight at the head. Just a young bear. Quite a young one, really, it must've been lost. Now it was dying...bleeding from its head and helpless. "Survival of the fittest applies not only to humanoids." Fayette said, dragging her sword across the floor for a few moments, imminently slicing off a snake's head. (I'm surprised that bear could even be here. Oh, well— whatever.) She thought continuing along. (There must be someone else in here.)

Lira transformed back to her human form— after getting shot in the head as a bear. (I've gotten the memories of a mercenary now too, huh?) Lira thought to herself. She turned into but a peaceful dove and flew away gracefully, passing over the burning Kura camp as well.

"It's only three miles from here everyone," Ren shouted back at his companions. So far they've crossed a deep woods, tropical rain forest, climbed a waterfall, and now they're in a regular forest. The Kura plans lay safely tucked in Ren's clothing and he held his gun in his hands. Their bird in the sky still flew detecting all high energy levels no matter if they're hidden or not. Ren periodically checked his smartphone. He scrolled his contacts to Kasai's number. She's been with us for quite a while. I wonder if she's found her mother yet," Ren thought to himself as he called Kasai.

"Hello? Is this Kasai Spear? It's Ren. I just wanted an update on your current location. Also, weather or not you've found your mother, Lilith," Ren said trying not to sound too concerned.

Kasai literally freaked out as her phone about gave her a heart attack. She quickly flipped the black and white thing open and listened.

"Oh, Ren. Ya it's me. I'm in the woods....hell if I know exactly. If everything is okay I'll make a flare for you guys. Lilith? Spit it out Ren. I don't have all day you know." Kasai said, looking back at Silver for a second.

She mouthed 'Sorry' and began walking off.

"So far I have killed three Kura. A small group...looking for trouble with me. They knew really fast not to miss with me when their leaders head was clear off. I found a older boy claiming to have the name Silver. It's boring..." Kasai sighed.

Silver growled. All he caught of her conversation was "..boy claiming to have the name Silver," and, "It's boring..."

This is ticking me off. He thought, sighing. She obviously thought very low of him. Of course, he wasn't much to begin with. The one interesting thing comes along and immediately it thinks of me as some boring piece of garbage. Wonderful.

Silver rolled his eyes at his thoughts, pulling out his black sword absentmindedly.

Kasai looked at Silver.

"Ah, Sorry Ren. I'll call you back. Silver obviously doesn't like me right now." she said with a slight grin, hanging up her phone and putting it away.

Kasai turned to Silver.

"Silver..." she muttered, unsheathing both of her katana's and holding her swords back-handed.

"I am the daughter of the Spear family....idiot..." Kasai snapped.
