I just wanted to share the prologue to a story that I'm working on right now and I wanted to see what you guys thought of it. Some minor language, but nothing that you kids can't handle, lol.

 

The sky split as the rain came down asunder. Rumbling from above and below quaked the spirits of the people in the darkened city of lights. The neon lights laid shattered, the concrete made to dust and the city corner lay in ruin. The rain pouring so rapidly, ditches and craters made were made into ponds as soon as they were created, and gutters overflowed, and the streets becoming more like the canals of Venice. But the battle won, the Children began to return to their home. As one silver-haired child trudged through the rivers, droplets dripped from his face and melded with the rain crashing down. Debris followed the current that rushed beyond the safe borders, into the land that was left un-touched by the remaining human race. The boy trudged through the debris against the current, bloody and bruised, not looking as appealing as he did hours before. His hard, cold, blue eyes glowed even in the black rain, and stared straight into the streets lighted only by flashes of the storm above. He walked slowly and steadily, keeping an eye on
