In both XIII and XIII-2, the music themes that play while you're in the main menu when you start up the game(where you select a new game, or  to load game, or to download XMB themes), have been Serah's theme that plays in the main menu for both games. There were different themes for Serah in XIII and XIII-2, but it was still her theme for that specific game that played in the main menu.

In the main menu's for both games, they play Serah's theme from that specific game, except they remove the lyrics, and just let the music play, so many people don't notice it.

 

So, i'm guessing, in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, that'll be the same thing, that Serah's theme will play in the main menu, even though she's gone. This possibly could show her significance, and what she will do in the next game.

Am I the only one to really listen in on music and notice stuff like this from the get go? Music does let in a lot of information about stuff like this. It's probably a leitmotif, but you might be onto something.

Yeah. I noticed it awhile ago , but i thought i should hold off on the information until more news about LR FF XIII came out.

 

Serah will definitely how a big role in LR FF XIII. Toriyama said that "While Lightning is on a journey to save the world, [serah] went on a journey to save all". We'll definitely find out more about her in LR FF XIII for sure. Even though she's dead, she still will play a big role to come. Im sure of that.

I noticed this a LONG TIME AGO. Ever since i got a PS3 and played the games, i realized it was Serah's theme in the main menu's for both XIII games.

 

I think im on to something. Serah's had huge roles in the past XIII games, and even though she's gone now, she'll probably still have a big role in the next game for sure.
