Welp yu yu hakusho had to take a seat in second place now for my favorite Anime of all time.
WARNING: A lot of fanboying will happen in this topic.
There's gore but so little that it really shouldn't count as gore yes they are some graphic parts but still it's firetrucking awesome. It's awesome because the story actually goes where most stories won't go. some moments you will really not believe they went there.
The characters grow so much through the story it's unbelievable. You feel as though you want the characters to go on so they can have their dreams of peace come true.
Especially the main character Ryner he grows so much through the story even though his past was so bad. Being called a demon because of his powers but he goes on because all he wants are his afternoon naps.
Then you have ferris who more or less tortures Ryner but that's their friendship. Even she has her own painful past as with many people in the series do but you'll begin to care for them all.
Then lastly you have Sion the king of the country where the story takes place and even though he may not seem like it later down the future he'll be a very important person, besides someone who just sends Ryner and Ferris out on missions. The plot twists are so awesome and you don't see them coming. Sometimes you'll be watching and just think wtf. The story is so good and funimation has it on YouTube for free. Just go watch it it's freaking awesome, I would love to say more but f I did I would probably spoil it for you (almost did that a couple times in this post) That ending is so good you don't even know how much I loved it. That's how you leave of for a second season thank God.
Another warning though: This does have gore in it so there's that. Also there's a lot of suggestive themes in this that you may not be able to handle. Also if you get well infested it to watching this series you may never come out again it's that good.
