Schemley and Derik's excelent adventure through Sinnoh

Posted

Yesterday, I put together a shelf and found my copy of Platnum. So here is me, making a dairy of sorts for my new adventure through Gen IV. Please note, if a Pokemon faints, I have 30 seconds(including possible random wild battles) to get it to a Pokemon Center and revive it, and I can only do this 3 times before the Pokemon is considered dead, must be released, unless I can fulfill the Revival Requirement within three hours. I'm forced to remove half my items/money to revive them again as a revival requirement, and i can only catch 6 Pokemon this entire playthrough, not counting Legionary's. if a Pokemon is not healed in 30 seconds, it is considered dead and I will have to fulfill the revival requirements to be able to use it. If my money is under PD800 then I cannot revive my Pokemon. I can use Revives, but the Pokemon is out for the rest of the battle unless required to fight, and must later be placed in the PC for a day. I can purchase no more that 4 revives per town, and I cannot revisit towns to obtain Revives unless the plot steers me in the direction of that town. So it's safe to say, I'm most likely royally screwed, but whatever. Let's get this page Documented!

Okay, so I started off, bla bla bla introduction introduction Bidoof bla, and I get to the naming section. I figure, why not name it after my favorite OC, so i named him Derik and continued. Plot plot story progression, annoying the guy who forces you to visit the male rivals house multiple times ect. And here we go, this is where things get saucy. So my male rival(Who I named after another OC, Ray) attempts to run into the grass and Professor Beardy Rowan stops us, give us our Pokemon(Which I chose Chimchar, though I like Piplup series better. It's male) and we start our adventure! Oh. Wait. Plot, Plot, freaky-blue-haired-dude-at lake-with-legendary-Pokemon-in-it plot, plot, level grinding to level 9 on Chimchar, Going to the next town over, talking with Dawn, naming Chimchar Schemley because ProJarred naming system, Gameplay Mechanics, Gameplay Mechanics, Buying 6 Pokeballs, catching a Starly(Which I nicknamed Serfa, it's female), Grinding, Grinding, Serfa-fainting-3-times-so-I-can't-afford-to-have-him-faint-again-playthrough-plotpoint, showing off my absolute skill as I accidentally drop my 3DS, catch it with my left hand, then make it into the Pokemon Center, up to Nurse Joy and not hitting the counter with one second to spare and the 3DS was flipped over(No joke, I pulled off some sort of gravity-defying miracle saving Serfa), Getting Serfa to level 9, go home for good-bye's, travel out to next unclaimed route, kill tons of Shinx trying to catch one and finding friggin Bidoof's with Crits everywhere, Finally find Shinx that I successfully catch, Name it Zyliph, Grind Zyliph to level 6 after much careful battling, first trainer battle, grind Serfa to Level 10, Grind Schemley to level 10 with careful battling, make it to Jubilife, more plot exposition, Looker, gained Town Map, beat up some children's Pokemon gained Poketch(Probably my favorite feature of D/P/P) heal, fight Ray, and today's plot is done, save and quit.

Get a Pokemon Antivirus then.

There is no Antivirus for Bidoof.

There is no Antivirus for Bidoof.

Then we must learn its weakness and create one!

Got through Iron Island or whatever it's called, beat the Gaga dancers that were stationed there to give a performance, they left after I crashed the afterparty with Riley, and after that he tried to pawn off some egg on me. I was going to cook it, till I learned it was a Pokemon Egg. I told him I'd be right back, due to a filled up team, went back, like a boss, put Drahblit in the box, went back, got items and trained, Schemely finally evolved to his final form as an Infernape, finally returned to Riley, got the egg, found a Shiny Stone, evolved Grahmet into a Roserade, then I went on to boss my way through the Canalave Gym with the helps of Schemely, Zyliph, and Denthan. I then went to the Library after defeating the Gym, when Gaga's crew threw a massive rave at Lake Valor that was so awesome the place exploded. Going to investigate, I kicked Magikarps and Backup Dancers, defeated one more of the Managers, went home, talked and stuff with my Mom, found out about anoter rockin' rave happening at Verdity Lake, by home, went, partied hard with Old Beardy and defeated another Manager again, went into the blinding snowwy cold and made it to Snowpoint, where Schemely and Zyliph proved their worth absolutely, as well as Grahmet somehow tanking a Blizzard two times and still living, allowing me to heal Zyliph when needed, got denied access to a old temple, found Ray being beat all to heck, as per usual, only not by me, but this purple haired girl, raided the Veilstone Concert Hall after by best Pal Pad friend Looker helped me get back stage, beat some foo's, made a ruling on Max Revives and items of that sort, stating that a Max Revive is equililent to a regular Revive, but I'm allowed to sill use/carry the Pokemon, but I cannot buy any items that replicate the effect,  found out Lady Gaga is really a guy named Master Cyrus, the blue-haired freak from before, found out he's pretty much emo, wanting to feel nothing and destroy the soul, we fought and beat the he/she and the one Manager from Valor Lake, released the lake trio, found out that Zyliph and Schemely are literally the pride and joy's of the team, followed by Surfa, Grahmet, then Drahblit, and Yapnela was just a disappointment, downgraded her to HM slave for Surf, Rock Climb, Strength, and kept trucking on, made it to Mt. Corranett and ascended it's snowy peaks to make it to another rave, but this one was to be le Ultimate Rave where Time and Space never stopped us from danging our soul's out! That's right, Master Cyrus had summoned the time and space Pokemon to try and make this party everlasting at the Peak of Mt. Corranet. Oh. I forgot to say that I faced the red haired and pink haired assistants with Ray, as per usual, Ray was down real quick and I carried us through, he healed me, and I decided to try and stop the shemale from making a never-ending rave party. But as I did so, a shadowwy figure appeared and took Gaga away to the anti-party zone known as the Distortion World. I jumped in after, and after the Lake Spirits helped me solve the puzzles, I faced Cyrus for the last time and beat him HARRRRRRD. Faced Giritina, the lord of no party's, and although i threw every Pokeball I had at him, it took a special gift I got from the He/She to catch it known as the Master Ball. After our success, we left the Distortion World and returned to Party Town USA. After I left the weird lake thingy and visited Beardy, i went to a Hotel to rest and recuperate for the night.

So many raves... Guess Lady Gaga was touring Sinnoh. Strange that it turns out she's really a man, though.

  • 2 months later...

I.... I tried... I tried my absolute hardest...

I... I beat every trainer on the map multiple times... Everyone made it to level 49 or 50... They had the best items, it had a new, even more powerful Party Member I caught sanctioned within my rules... I thought that maybe... just maybe... Maybe I was strong enough to do it... My team was precise, it had the skills and the powers to take the Elite Four down... But.... One cog broke suddenly in the machine due to a Critical error... Everyone fell... Even Zyliph... It's my fault...

You see... I had set the rule: Once I was into the final area of the area before the League Challenge, I could not leave to prepare, and I must sweep the Elite Four and not loose once, for if I did not, everyone who died was unable to be revived with Revives...... I traveled long and hard, grinding and making my team well-oiled and powerful... I spent all my money on stat uppers and good TM's, but not items; I had raised a good stock of them, as well as all other necessary items...... I thought that maybe I was ready... I was wrong.

It was the Psychic Type leader. No, not the dreaded Garchomp of Cynthia that got me... It was the Physic Type... I wasn't the best prepared for Physic, but I had good moves, good stats, and decent type matching... I opened with my own Garchomp(Whom I had named Geraken, a male who was steadfast and trustworthy normally)And we cleared out the first enemy... Then Espion came out... I though "Nothing too bad... I can one-shot it..."... Somehow, even with all the Speed Boosting I did... I lost because Espion was faster... It... It chose to Critical Geraken... Geraken died before he could even attempt a attack... Then one-by-one, everyone died... i tried making it out of there... Finishing it with Cynthia so that everyone at least died with honnor... No... Bronzerong decided I was to die there... He... He killed everyone without mercey, never loosing more than a fifth of his HP... When Zyliph had enough... He came out, prepairing Thunder... he was too slow, too.

Earthquake... It... It killed Zyliph... Miro tried his best to protect Grahment, my last pokemon besides himself, but, he, too took a critical hit and perished... I reluctantly sent out Grahment, hoping I could at least leave a mark on him... No... I... I failed... Every single one of my Pokemon... I failed them... If I had maybe grabbed Fake Out and then switched to someone else less important for now... or maybe gotten Sandstorm to ensure my victory against the Elite's and then trash Cynthia by changing the move...... I ... I... *Sits in corner* I.... failed... I failed for overestimating the power of my team, thinking that if all else failed, Zyliph could pull off a miracle and save me at the very least... I guess... It's over... My excellent adventure is over in tragedy... Yet, as I write this, I... i can't delete the Pokemon... This time, their death meant death, deletion... But I can't do it. They served me so well, and it's my fault they fell, not theirs... So... I... I don't... I don't think I can do it... They... did so much... I asked so much and they always delivered.

Maybe now it's that I've experienced it... But... I think that moment you catch your Pokemon that it becomes special to you. Not the victory's or success they deliver after. I guess from now on, I'll cherish my team, care for them, raise them better than I did with this bunch, despite all they did for me. I failed them, and now I see why they did the work they did. In some other universe, I feel these events are real, same for every theorized world and alternate timeline there is, and I can only blame myself for doing this. Sorry I got a bit philosophical there, but it had to be done...

Memoirs of my team/record of those of whom I delivered failure to.

Team:

Zyliph:

Luxray

Level: 50

Male

Sassy in nature, but loving and strong for those who he cares for. Like Bitter food, we met on route four at the beginning. My most trusted team mate, you were the strongest of all amongst my team, even sometimes defying type-matching to critical hit and one-shot enemy's others couldn't, no matter the challenge. Fate decided your power needed to be suppressed today. Our little adventure was fun, wasn't it? I'll miss you the most; I had planned to take you with me to X/Y when my first playthrough was over. Your a most loyal knight of my army; I'll miss you, Thunder King, sweet prince... Lord Zyliph.

Miro

Giritina

Level:50

Rash, bold... You were always the one to take action. You were like the big brother: weathering even Blizzard and Ice Beam from sweepers so others didn't fall to it, and then even going as far as to destroy the being apposing our family. He loved dry food and scattering things, maybe that's why you almost never took Crits: You scattered the shot and destroyed it. We met when you were level 47, you were angry that day. Cyrus was threatening the worlds, you stepped in and stopped it, which was good of you, but you were throwing a fit after that. I calmed and befriended you(Though you were rather stubborn about it) and you became a reliable teammate. Your steel-like resolve was broken this day, I will never let myself live it down. I will miss you largely, Titan Shield.

Serfa

Starraptor

Level: 50

Female

You were always cautious, never taking a step without reassuring yourself first that it was the right one. Earlier on, you fell a few times because of this, but i never blamed you, girl. You were sweet; motherly to the other Pokemon, both old and new, and your strong will carried you through tough times. When danger called, you stepped in, always partnering with someone and bringing out the best in them. Always pushing your limits, even as you watched your step. You never once questioned me; and in turn you fell due to my lack of caution and care that you certainly embodied. Your mind may have been broken, but your memory never forgotten. It was a pleasure training you, good luck in the afterlife, Winged Heart.

Grahament

Rozeraid

Level:50

Female

Heh. You were always adorable when you acted to tough and boldly. Always making the clutch moves than no one but you could. You fell a few times, but Serfa, being the motherly figure she was helped you out as she grew as well. Quickly, you grew strong from your Bediw form and became my soul-burner of the team. You always kept calm and active with your movements. You always seemed to be upset when someone outsped you in a match. You always fought me by missing and getting angry that I hadn't gotten you to where you should have. But then, you evolved into a Rozeraid, and you grew up a little. You got to be one of the Pokemon I relied on, and I always loved it when you decided you wanted to snooze next to me, and even on occasion in battle when you grew bored of the enemy's skills being below you. I never did get you that sour Poffin I promised. Forgive me, Scarlet Thorn.

Geraken

Garchomp

Level:51

Male

One of my fewer male Pokemon, you were the newest addition, but had the most identifiable personality and we bonded quickly. You were naughty, like a little schoolboy who was never taught better. Stealing from others, opening presents early or when they weren't your own, I scolded you too much, now that I think back. I hope you don't hate me for that. Because you were always getting into trouble, when you wanted out, you always wanted to flee, and do it fast. I always found it irritating when you ate the Tommotto berry I would save for myself, and though you were a bit of a annoyance from time to time, I still loved you like the others. Seal off into the night, Black Sand.

Schemley

Infernape

Level: 49

Male

It all started with you, buddy. We shared some beautiful and horrific times together. Never would I had thought that we could be defeated easy; you always delivered the Crits when they truly were needed. You always provided support when it was needed. You did as a father would, I think. Just as Serfa did, you protected your children with all your might and fury as a caring father, I think, but even so, you were naive, always believing you could do things yourself, always making fights and showing us how much you were important. Maybe I could have done better with you to make you less vain... But I don't think I would. It made you who you are, and that was a great partner. You showed others your true power at all times, you stopped the fights you weren't in and punished the ones behind it. I saw that glimmer in your eye as a Chimchar; that glimmer that said that you truly could(And would) be great. You are-other than Zyliph whom which you are equal-my most trusted Pokemon Partner and overall, one of my favorite teammates ever. I remember that first night. We slept in the forest, I gave you the first fist-bump that day, and from then we were the best of Partners. No team could stop you, should you ever need to be summoned. We met back on Route 5, after Ray said that we should run into the grass. He's an interesting person, no doubt, right? He's gonna be sad that you-like the others-fell. He's certainly to take revenge; it's his style. I'm sorry for all the hurt that I gave you as a trainer and that I failed. See you among that starry night's sky we saw that first night, Cindering King.

So, I guess this is over. Sorry if that sounded sappy at every turn, but in a way, this is my true feels... I guess. I probably shouldn't put this much love into "Just some data on a game" but these Pokemon were my team, I appreciate them and thought a proper good-bye was the proper sendoff. Well, to our readers at home... Good night, and when you next see your Pokemon, treat them with respect; there the only true family you have in the game. They're as real as you make them to be, and to me, they were as real as flesh, bone, and blood in this case.

It's perfectly normal to get that attached to your Pokemon... Heck, I refuse to do anything that will lower their happiness in-game, even a little bit. They're my friends, my trusted team. That's how everyone's Pokemon are to them... Sorry about the loss. You had a great team.

You know, something bothered me about the defeat: most of the kills were first-turn criticals. So, deciding to test something, I fought my way through the elite four again, or tried to, at least. The first enemy kept criting me almost every other turn. It was a glitch! I made it through to the second and third members, and similar results with crits in rows or ever other turn. No doubt, a glitch at that point, so I reset, and took them on. It was tough this time around, even with less crits than before, I was dealing a little too little damage every so often, but I made it to Cynthia, this time everyone alive. Our duel was magnificent, bit Iwill be writting about that later.

A crit glitch? ._. That's weird... Well, we'll be ready when you get the results done!

Yeah... The Psychic type still had some crits his way(I think he may have Super Luck on some of his Pokemon, I don't know) But I pulled through. Anyway, writing the true end as we speak!
