(I will allow all student characters to post before I make the crystal appear, then everyone can make a post afterward before it becomes the next day and everyone goes to school. When that happens every 4 posts an hour will pass by. Before the crystal appears Vampires can make appearance posts, but don't make contact with the crystal blessed until the next day)

And so it begins...

(Sampson)

In the dark of the night, Sampson entered the high school gymnasium which revealed many teenagers dancing and having fun. Sampson saw it as too many hormones together in one hot cramped up gym.

"Why am I here why am I here why am I here..." He repeated multiple times as he entered the gym. Music blazed into his ear as he searched for a chair to sit in, finally finding one on the other side of the gym.

"This can't get any worse... Can it?" Sampson asked himself.

(Vladimir)

Sitting on his throne, in a dark room, surrounded by many vampires but mostly keeping quiet to themselves, Vladimir twitched a bit, then adjusted in his seat.

"Finally, the crystal makes itself known," He said to himself. The nearby vampires quickly turned to him in excitement, whispering and softly snickering and cheering. Vladimir glared at them and they went back to whatever they were working on.

"The question now becomes, where will it present itself?"

Alex sat against the bleachers, which had been pushed into the wall to make room, watching the students dance and have fun. The mixture of the annoying pop music and the raucous shouts of joy from the students was starting to give him a headache. He stood up, rubbing his head, and making his way out of the room to the men's bathroom. Once there, he splashed water against his face, rubbing it in. He took a deep breath, the thumps of the pop music barely able to make it through the thick concrete walls that seperated this bathroom from the gym.Justin stood up against the wall outside the gym, waiting for the last of the people to get into the school and into the gym. He hated getting caught up in thick crowds, especially crowds of immature highschoolers who were looking to have sex or drink beer after the party. He sighed and pushed from the wall. He walked into the entrance of the school after the last of the students had entered. He didn't want to be here, but he didn't have much choice. His mother and father had gone out with some friends and wouldn't be back until tomorrow. They figured it would be a great time for him to meet other students and make friends, so they took his key to the house with them. "Oh look, it's the genius. Did you leave an assignment behind?" One of the students asked. It looked like a few decided to hang around outside and act as bouncers. Not that the school needed them. "No, just here against my will." The student grinned and looked him over. "Sorry, I can't let you in." Justin chuckled. "Yeah? Why exactly can't I come in?"  "'Cause we don't like you." Justin sighed and turned around. "That's too bad. I'll just have to wait out here."

Takuya took his sister to the school dance.

"I don't want you to get into trouble okay? You havnt been the best since mom and dad died in the accident, I don't want to sound heartless, but you can't let it affect you like this, not at 16 years old, you have so much ahead of you, and I just can't bare to see you like this"

His sister looks at him and just nods. Takuya pulls up to the school, and follows his sister until she gets into the gym.

"Stay safe, I'll be back when it's done"

She looks at Takuya with a look of please don't go. He can tell its too much to see her brother leave and possibly never come back.

"Don't look at me like that please, I'll stay here, I'll keep an eye on the guys who try to mistreat you and the girls who try to bully you, but one of these days you need to stop letting this affect you like this, it's not healthy."

Takuya watches his sister go into the gym to join everyone dancing.

"I really don't want to be at this place, good memories and all but I'm not trying to live in the past, I hope this doesn't go on for too long."

Annabelle lingered just outside of the Gymnasium. She hated being in a crowd, because she was shy. "I guess since...last week, I've been shaken up, but...oh! There's no reason for me to shy!" Anna hit her fist on the wall. She ran out into the hall and slouched down on the ground. "I can't go in there...everyone would make fun of my size...they'd also say I'm a coward to reply to anyone..." Annabelle hung her head low. "Places always seem okay, until some thing happens."

"I will come by later to pick you up when the dance is done okay?"

I looked at my brother, hoping he can read my face, please don't go. I don't want anything to happen to you, I'm scared of losing the only person I have in my life.

"Skyler, please don't look at me like that, okay I'll stay, but this isn't healthy, you have to start acting stronger again."

I head into the gym to start dancing with the others, I was not having fun, I don't even know why I came here, and I could have saved my brother time. I look back at my brother and I could tell he didn't want to be here, and I don't blame him. Everyone else seemed to have fun but me. I quickly got out of the gym and went into the bathroom, I couldn't hold it in.

"Why mom and dad? Why didn't you just listen to me, why couldn't you guys just spend time with me like you would Takuya when he was my age? I just wanted to be cared for, not ignored. Takuya has shown more care for me, he's trying to make me stronger!!"

Annabelle got up. She looked into the Gymnasium. Some eyes looked at her, and she retreated. "Why do I have this shyness?" Annabelle rubbed her face. "As long as I've been here, I-I-I-I just don't have any friends. It really isn't that long, but still...If I'm the center of attention, then...people will make fun of me... I wish I wasn't small. I could at least be somewhat normal..." Annabelle put her back on the wall, and thought.

Alex left the restroom, his head still throbbing from the music. His steps in the hall echoed quietly due to him being the only one there. Near the entrance of the gym was a girl was shaking and blushing. He had seen her around the school, but couldn't really recall anything more than her hair color since he hadn't been close enough or hadn't seen her for long enough. He noticed he was staring at her and probably giving her a heart attack by now. He sighed and went back into the gym. His friend was supposed to be here, but he hadn't come yet. Alex was just about ready to leave if he didn't show up in the next five minutes.A car pulled up in front of Justin. A woman stepped out, walked around the car, and let out a young, slender woman in a dress. He gathered that she was daughter of the woman that just let her out. Her mother walked her up to the door, said her goodbyes, and went back to her car. The students in front of the door let her in, probably just to stare at her from behind. The evening air was becoming chillier by the minute, and eventually Justin couldn't take it. The "bouncers" were still at the entrance, gossiping about other students and telling each other jokes. He walked away from the entrance and decided he'd use a different entrance. If the others were locked, he'd just come in from the janitor's service door, which wasn't locked. Justin would use that route if he was late to school, since the room was across the hall from the janitor's office. He began walking there when one of the students called him. "Hey, where do you think you're going?" "I don't think that's any of your concern." Justin replied without stopping. The student ran up to him from behind, and in a much more hostile tone, asked him again. "I asked where you were going." He shoved Justin into the wall and raised his fist. Justin didn't flinch. As soon as he saw the fist coming, he ducked, and the students' fist collided with the rough brick wall. Justin shoved him away and ran to the back of the school. "Damn," he muttered as they began to chase after him.

Takuya saw Skyler quickly leave the room, he thought maybe had said something to her that she didn't like, he steps into the gym to follow her, but their was too much people dancing and bumping around. Takuya finally got fed up and just started pushing people. He gets to where the restroom area is.

"Takuya is the only that had shown he cares about me, that's all I've wanted"

"What? Oh man she must be crying about our parents"

Takuya then knocks on the bathroom door.

"Skyler, come on let's go take a breather"

Skyler sits in the bathroom for a bit longer, looks in the mirror, then heard someone knock.

"Skyler, come on let's go take a breather"

"Takuya?"

She didn't know Takuya saw her leave the gym.

"Okay ill be out in a minute"

Skyler looks into the mirror again, wipes her tears and heads out.

"Where are we going to go Takuya?"

"To the football field, just sit there and talk, none of the acting like a jerk, a real time to get all this off your chest okay?"

Takuya and Skyler head out to the football field, sitting on the bleachers.

Annabelle decided to run outside. She spotted a boy and girl sitting down on bleachers. Annabelle was getting tired, so she sat down too, though a clear distance away, to avoid a conversation. Annabelle stared up at the sky to not look at the girl. She didn't want them to think she was spying on them. "Annabelle...come on, girl...you can do it...they're just sitting down. They're...calming down. You need to calm down too!" Annabelle tried to tell herself.

Takuya, and Skyler are sitting on the bleachers, looking into the distance.

"I know I havnt been sensitive to your feelings through all this. I've been trying to get it out of your head, and get you back on your feet, but I know that it's extremely hard for you, you're really young, kind of fresh into highschool"

Takuya notices a girl run outside for a bit and sit a distance from them.

"I just want you to know that no matter what I'm going to be with you through this even after when all this doesn't affect you as much, I want you to try and make sure it doesn't affect your schooling, that is one thing it can't affect. Right now they are looking down on us, trying to guide us for a good life. They will be proud if you when you finish highschool and go into college. You're my sister and I love you"

Skyler listens to what Takuya has to say, she has never heard him talk like this to her since she was just a little girl giving her lessons about middle school.

"You're my sister and I love you"

"It's just, I felt like I could have prevented it, I told them to spend more time with me, like they used to with you. But I didn't fight hard enough to have them stay home. I just...."

Tears started coming out even more, Takuya reaches to grab her, and she rests her head on his chest.

"I just still can't believe they're gone, it hurts so much still, and that's why I didn't want you to leave, I'm so scared everyday I go to school, or hang out with friends, you're the only person on my mind because I worry that I will lose you too!!!"

The two of them just sit on the bleachers, Takuya tries his best to comfort her.

"Thank you for being there for me"

Annabelle looked at the ground for a moment, then sighed and turned to the girl and boy. "Are you okay?" she asked. Annabelle couldn't resist. She had to find out if they were calming down. She pushed her hair to the side.

Alex hears a clatter of feet behind him in the hall, and when he turned to look, the girl was gone. "Strange girl." He muttered. He leaned against the wall as the pop music stopped for a moment as the DJ announced a request from another student. Another song came on and everyone cheered, their dance style changing slightly to fit the music's rhythm. He leaned with a shoulder against the wall, watching everyone dance.Justin dashed to the other side of the school, past a few other students. He went around the side of the school and stopped, turning around. One came running up to him and he placed a high kick on his chest. The boy flew back to the grass, breathing heavily. The other two came running, and Justin slipped into the service door, closing it quietly as they ran up to their friend. "Where'd he go, yo? I want to rough him up some for what he did!" Two sets of feet ran past the door and Justin let out a sigh of relief. He opened the door leading to the hall, where pop music met his ears. He slipped through and closed it behind him. He walked through the empty hall, with a quiet echo tailing him. He began walking toward the gym when he heard two people come up from behind. "There you are!" A deep voice said behind him. He turned around to see a fist coming toward his face. He threw his hand up just in time to deflect the punch and pushed the boy to the ground. The other one raised his fist and Justin looked at him. "I wouldn't recommend that." He said, throwing a punch to the boy's nose. His fists weren't strong, but he could at least stun the boy, and if he was lucky, give him a bloody nose. He fell back as the other got up and yelled at him. Justin grabbed the side of his head and smacked it into the service door, knocking him out. He took this chance to turn around and run into the gymnasium. If the other still wanted to follow, Justin would have long since blended into the crowd.

(Alright Riku will have to join in later)

(Sampson)

Sampson eventually left the gym and came across two girls and another guy outside.

"I guess I'm not the only one not into parties?" He joked. "What brings you guys here?"

In the sky, a small green twinkle could be seen. It grew larger and larger until it looked like a huge meteor. The large green object eventually landed about a few miles away from the school, and shook the ground. Sampson had to move around but managed to not fall down. He looked towards the school expecting a crowd, only to find that everything seemed to be normal.

"Don't tell me you didn't just see that?" He asked the group.

(Vladimir)

As soon as the green object made contact with the ground, Vladimir immediately knew what he had long been waiting for had finally come.

"Only the ones the crystal chooses will notice it's presence, and once they fulfill their destiny of finding the crystal, the hunt will begin."

Alex heard an explosion and the ground shook slightly, causing the lights to flicker and the music to cut and skip. It stopped after a few moments and everyone seemed to shrug it off. "What the hell was that?" He wondered aloud. "I'm gonna go check it out." He left the gym through the exit and saw a few people out there gazing at rising smoke. He began to run towards it. Something had to cause that to happen.Justin felt the ground shake and he fell against the wall. It ceased after a few moments. What was that? An earthquake? No... earthquakes aren't that short. There must have been a large impact nearby. It's probably worth checking out. He began to run again, dashing through the main exit, jumping over the hedges to the front of the school. His shoulder brushed by the sign, the metal of the corner giving him a cut. He didn't notice, just kept sprinting towards the smoke. Ulrich felt a spike in energy, making his skin quiver. "The crystal... it's here..." He muttered. "The location seems to be near... a high school? Great. High school kids are always stubborn. Not only that... " He trailed off.Ryan's calculations were correct. The crystal landed near a highschool a ways off. He could feel the tremor the impact made in his underground lab, and just feeling that got him anxious to see what would happen to those the crystal would touch. He rose his hand to adjust his white mask. He'll have to report in to Lord Vladimir soon, since his absence might have caused a little trouble. Besides, if he didn't, he wouldn't be allowed in on the action.(Ryan, someone who posted before, decided he lost interest and let me take control of his character, in case you guys are wondering)

Annabelle fell off the bleachers. "I didn't see it! Oof! But I sure heard it!" she answered. Annabelle stood up. "What was that? I barely know anyone's names, and this happens?!" Annabelle questioned.

(Whoops. Not too late, I hope.)

Cate felt super embarrest at being late to her first homecoming as she jogged to where the party was being held. She had been talking to her uncle over the phone and time had just run away with her. She hadn't even gotten around to eating yet.

"There better be at least some snacks." She thought as she pressed on.

She was about to enter the school building when she saw a green glow in the sky and felt the ground shake beneath her.

"What in blue blazes?" She questioned aloud.

Her curiosity got the better of her as she jogged towards the green light.

Sampson looked in the direction the crystal went down, and noticed Cate jogging in that direction.

"I don't know what it was," He began, "And I know this sounds like the start of a bad scary movie, but it's not like there's anything better to do here, I think I'm gonna check it out. You guys coming?" Sampson began to walk in that direction. "Hey you!" He called out to Cate. "Wait up!"

Annabelle followed after Sampson. She was finally feeling brave. "I wanna come too!" Annabelle was curious, instead of scared. Her fear of shyness was gone. She only hoped no one mentioned her small size.

Alex collapsed just in front of the crater, the smoke had now gone and was replaced with a thin sheet of dust. Or was it really even smoke in the first place? Or was it just a trick of the mind to think something wrong was happening that there was smoke here? It didn't matter. He got up, caught his breath and looked into the crater. "A meteorite?" He muttered. It was a small meteorite, but there was something off about it. The crater wasn't very deep, he could easily kneel and touch it if he wanted to. He heard running behind him, and there was a boy with a coat on, unzipped and revealing a buttoned flannel shirt, all except for the last button, which had a black tshirt underneath.Justin stopped in front of the boy next to the impact site. This couldn't have been right. What impacted was this small? How could it cause such a vibration? But it was just like a faint vibration of a playstation controller, and disrupted a couple of landlines from the impact, so that explains the fluctuated power at the party. The hole wasn't even deep. He stopped to think about it when Alex spoke up. "Who are you?" Justin caught his breath. "Justin Brown, Senior, 17 years of age." Alex sighed. "Looks like you're a class above me. Alex Snow, 16 years old. Please tell me you have any idea of what the hell this is." He said as more footsteps approached.

Sampson slowed to a stop once he saw the calamity and a few others near it.

"Is this like a big green meteor or something? And I'm surprised only a few people came to check this out."

There was something about this meteor that beckoned to Sampson, to all the people that came to see it.

(This is screaming bad idea, but I don't think I can resist.)

"What is this... Anyways..." Sampson slowly approached the meteor, about to touch it.

Takuya and Skyler looked into the sky, and heard someone ask if they were okay.

"Oh hey Takuya said. Yeah we are fine, we just have some family problems that we need to get off our shoulders, nothing to crazy."

All three noticed a green object coming across the sky and hit the ground.

"What the hell? What was that? Skyler we need to check this out, let's follow everyone real quick"

Takuya and Skyler followed everyone to the meteor site.

"I'm going to touch it Skyler."

"Wait please don't, what if you die? Please think about you safety."

"I am Skyler, it's just calling my name, I have to touch it."

"I know what you mean Takuya, it's calling me."

Takuya and Skyler both touch the crystal.

Annabelle skidded to a halt. She looked at the 'so-called meteor'. She closed her eyes, and put her hands on the meteor as her clothes and hair began to rushed to the side. A bright light shone through Annabelle. "What...did I just...do?!" she asked herself.

Yakuts touches the meteor and feels a strange crazy sensation, his arms starts to glow and gets a band tattoo on the upper part of his right forearm.

"Wha...what is this? I don't understand what I am feeling, it's like... I can't even explain it but it feels so right, Skyler, you need to touch this trust me."

Skyler watches Takuya touch the meteor, she had never seen him so relieved in her life.

"Skyler you need to touch this trust me."

Skyler looked at him like he was crazy, but she thought about how he looked.

"Okay, I hope you're right, I'll touch it for you."

Skyler reaches for the meteor, she feels a relieving sensation, something she hasn't felt since her parents were alive. Her left arm starts to glow, she gets the same tattoo but on her wrist.

"What... Is this? We have the same tattoo but in different places. This must mean something. And I feel like I'm finally accepting the fact that my parents are dead"

Both Takuya and Skyler cherish this little moment together.

Cate slowed a little at Sampson's call. She arrived at the "meteor" about the same time as everyone else.

"Wow." She murmured as she stared at the thing.

Her awed state was dispelled by people going up and trying to touch the object.

"Um, is that a good idea?" She asked, moving closer to the others. "We have no idea what that thing is. Maybe we should just wai-!"

At this point she tripped over an irregularity in the crater and fell forward, catching herself on the crystal.

A group of high schoolers quickly amassed around Justin and Alex. They were more interested in the meteorite than who was there in front of it, evidently. Justin knelt and placed his hand on the meteorite. As soon as his hand touched it, a strange feeling washed over him, like something webbing inside his veins and up to his brain. He fell back and started breathing heavily. His head started pounding and his vision started to get hazy. "What... what was..." He trailed off. His head was hurting too much to form a sentence.Alex saw Justin fall back. He looked at the meteorite intently, reaching out towards it cautiously. His finger touched it, and immediately something flooded his body. A strange feeling washed over him as if a tsunami had just washed over him. He stepped back, barely able to keep his balance, as Cate fell onto the crystal.

Annabelle just stood there. "Was I supposed to get something on my body?" she asked aloud. She sighed. "Maybe I'm just bad enough to not get chosen...If that's what this thing is even doing..." Annabelle sat down on the ground. She thought hard. "Why did this appear here, of all places?" she wondered. "It's strange. I never would have expected this..."
