(Sampson)

 

In the dark of the night, Sampson entered the high school gymnasium which revealed many teenagers dancing and having fun. Sampson saw it as too many hormones together in one hot cramped up gym.

"Why am I here why am I here why am I here..." He repeated multiple times as he entered the gym. Music blazed into his ear as he searched for a chair to sit in, finally finding one on the other side of the gym.

"This can't get any worse... Can it?" Sampson asked himself.

 

(Vladimir)

 

Sitting on his throne, in a dark room, surrounded by many vampires but mostly keeping quiet to themselves, Vladimir twitched a bit, then adjusted in his seat.

"Finally, the crystal makes itself known," He said to himself. The nearby vampires quickly turned to him in excitement, whispering and softly snickering and cheering. Vladimir glared at them and they went back to whatever they were working on.

"The question now becomes, where will it present itself?"

Justin finally regained his composure and stood up, heaving a sigh. "It was probably just an electric shock. It probably hit an electric pole on the way down, probably nothing to get worked up over." He turned around and began to walk away. "I'm going to head back to Homecoming. Other people may be here soon, and I don't want to be questioned." He said, walking away.Alex considered what Justin said. That does make sense... but would a meteorite conduct electricity? Isn't it space debris? Or is he just looking for an excuse to avoid awkwardly hanging around here? I don't want to hang around either so... Alex left to follow Justin. Maybe my friend finally made it and is waiting for me now.

(Sampson)

Once Sampson finally touched it after all the others did, everyone who was chosen had made contact with the crystal. (sorry if I'm mistaken)

Immediately the crystal shone a very bright green color, getting brighter and brighter until the crystal shrunk in on itself for a moment. Then it caused a ring of explosion that threw everyone back, before the crystal finally disappeared. Everyone fell unconscious, And the next moment everyone awoke in their beds, in the morning, the start of another school day.

 

(You may now start showing signs of your powers developing, and vampires may now make an appearance. 6 am to 6 pm is the power cycle of the crystal blessed, and 6 pm to 6 am the next day is when the vampire's abilities are at their full potential. Vampires know of this cycle but we don't figure it out until later on, but be aware of the time. Remember I will move time along an hour every four posts. Alright let's do this!)

 

<Friday, 6 am>

 

(Sampson)

 

"Ugh, what a weird hangover..." Sampson muttered to himself. He looked over to his clock and noticed it was 6, school would start at 7 and get out at 2, as usual. At least it was a Friday, right?

(Did that crystal thing really happen?) He thought to himself. (If it did how am I in my bed, I thought the thing exploded?) He pondered the event as he continued getting ready.

 

(Vladimir)

 

(To all of you who haven't sensed it,) Lord Vladimir thought telepathically to all those who served under him. (The crystal has finally made itself known. Ironically near a suburban American high school, meaning most likely these chosen few are teenagers. No matter, it is now your job to find who these chosen few are, and welcome them into our ranks. With their aide, we can finally fulfill our dream, and not have to live in the shadows anymore!)

Vladimir smiled, then continued. (If anyone gets in our way, including the crystal blessed that refuse our offer, you have my permission to kill. Happy hunting!)

Annabelle awoke in her bed. "That was weird. I psyched out." She scratched her forehead. "I'm itchy too..." She stepped up from her bed. "I remember touching the crystal-esque meteor, but then...it exploded... I just remember my name now...I must have been hit pretty bad." Annabelle went into her bathroom. She went in, and the door sharply closed behind her. "Was my house always this haunted? I can't think about that right now..."

Takuya and Skyler watched the crystal burst, and knocking everyone to the ground, his vision was really hazy and could not longer keep his eyes open. Skyler couldn't hear but knew people we screaming of terror. Takuya woke up next morning in his own bed, thinking about the events of the crystal.

"Oh man, what a creepy night.... Or dream? Oh man I don't know, it's so vivid but yet so hazy too."

Takuya snapped out of it and thought about his sister.

"Wait.. Oh no Skyler!"

Takuya ran to her room barging in without knowing if she was home or not.

"Oh thank god you're okay" Takuya said with a sigh of relief.

 

Skyler was laying in her bed, half awake. Then she hears her brother scream her name, she was startled because she thought she had done something wrong.

"Oh thank god you're okay"

"What's wrong Takuya? Why did you have to scare me like that? It's not like I hooked up with a guy at the school dance."

Takuya looked at her for a bit, and sat on her bed, he asked if she even remembered anything last night.

"Yeah kind of, well I don't know if it was a dream or not... Wait!"

Skyler looks at her left arm to see if the tattoo was there.

"Oh my goodness, it was real! How did we... Not die. That's was a huge explosion. How did we end up back home?"

Takuya looked at his tattoo also and couldn't believe it. He then told her to get ready for school, and he has toget ready for work.

Justin woke up in his bed with a strange headache. "Ah, damn..." He muttered. "Last thing I remember is going back to Homecoming... guess I didn't make it. But how did I get home?" He got up and walked through the hall into the kitchen, where there was a note on the fridge. Something came up with friend's mother, so we'll be a few days. Do us a favor and don't fall asleep on the side of the road again. It was pretty early in the morning. The sun was gleaming through the window, where dust was floating. He noticed he was still in the same clothes as last night, so he changed into a fresh outfit, took his keys, which his parents left hanging next to the door, and left.

Alex woke up on the floor next to his bed, his blanket barely covering him. Once he realized where he was, he stood up and looked at the clock. It was just a few minutes before 6, when his alarm went off. He pressed the "Off" button on his alarm, and changed into different clothes for school. As soon as he stepped out, he felt a tingling sensation on his hands. He looked down to see a sort of yellow light swirling around his right hand. He rubbed his eyes with his left hand and looked again. Probably didn't get enough sleep. He thought.

Cate awoke and stared up at her ceiling. Did she dream last night? She doubted it, yet here she was in her bed with no memory of how last night ended.

"Even going to bed." She murmured to herself.

She then sat bolt up right as she realized the time to be at school was fast approaching. She quickly washed up, dressed, and ate before running out the door to get to school on time.

<Friday, 7 am>

 

(Sampson)

 

Sampson found his way to his chemistry class and sat in the back. The bell ring and school began to start.

(I wonder if I can find someone that was there, maybe they'll remember it too...)

He began to look through his class to find someone that was at the crystal.

Takuya dropped Skyler off at school, but they had a little talk before she got out if the car.

"Have a good day and be safe okay? How are you feeling after lastnight?"

She looked at him, letting him know that she's fine, and took every word he said and will try to do better.

"Okay, I'll be here after work, don't go anywhere, and if you do, let me know you're going to go somewhere"

Takuya watches his sister head into the school, and heads to work.

 

Skyler hears the first bell ring, she quickly heads to her chemistry class, and notices that she had saw Sampson during he meteorite. Skyler then takes a seat in the back and thinks to her self.

"Maybe I should talk to him about last night, about what happened. But I don't know, I don't want to seem crazy."

Annabelle held a couple books and walked into the school. A few boys rushed past her and practically went flying down the hall. "Ow!" one of the boys muttered. "Some one pushed me and I skated into the wall!" Annabelle hesitated. I don't think I pushed him. If he thinks I did, I'm in big trouble. Annabelle realized. "I should be getting to chem class." Annabelle scurried to her locker and put her books in it. She went into the chemistry class. Darn it. I'm just barely late! Annabelle thought as the bell rang.

Justin entered the building, where a teacher was waiting. "Justin, can you please come into the office?" Justin nodded, and followed him inside. In the chairs were the three boys from last night. The one he punched had a broken nose. One had a big knot on the side of his head. The other wasn't really injured, but he could have sworn he was wheezing. "These boys say you attacked them on Homecoming night for no reason. Is that true?" Justin sighed. "That's what they told you? Well, here's my side of the story: I came to Homecoming because my parents took my keys and locked me out of the house until they came back from having dinner with their friend. I waited outside the building for the crowd to die down so I could enter without people rushing in from all sides around me. When I tried to enter, these three stopped me and told me to stay outside, so I did." Justin continued.Alex rushed to Chemistry class before the bell rang. He got inside just as the bell rang, and collapsed into his seat. The teacher closed the door and began the lesson. He caught his breath and noticed someone sitting in front of him. He's one of the people from last night... Alex thought.

<Friday, 8 am>

 

(Sampson)

 

Sampson took notes on the current lesson they were learning, and looked at the person who sat in front of him, Alex.

(Only one way to find out if it was real.)

He tapped on Alex's shoulder.

"Hey, what's your name? I'm Sampson." He smiled slightly.

Annabelle quickly sat down. She noticed a few people she DID in fact remember, but she wanted to stay quiet. Shyness rushed through Annabelle once again. She wanted to take notes, but she was thinking about what happened.

Skyler overheard one of the guys trying to talk to the guy sitting next to him about last night, she got curious, and moved seats right next to them.

"Hi, my name is Skyler, I don't mean to be rude but I overheard you talking to him about last night, take a look at my wrist, I never had this tattoo until I touched that crystal."

Skyler got really into explaining what had happened to her and she progressively got louder and louder, and the teacher asked if she wanted to share anything with the class.

"Oh sorry no I don't."

Alex sighed. "Alex." He said simply. The sun gleamed through the windows, making the classroom bright and warm. Alex's hands felt tingly again from being in the light. He looked down to his hands again, and the sunlight seemed to gather above his hands and swirl there. He balled his right hand into a fist, and the sunlight seemed to make a transparent coat around it. He unballed the first and the light dispersed.Justin finished his story and the teacher stroked his chin. "Hm... well if it was in self-defense, then there's not much I can do. I'll report this to the principal and I'll see what he makes of it. Until then, you should go back to class. I'll call your teacher and let him know I kept you." He said, picking up the phone as Justin walked out. One of the boys sneered at him as he walked out. He made his way to Chemistry class and stepped in. The teacher hung up the phone and looked at Justin. "Please take your seat." He said, and he sat in the seat two seats to the right of Sampson.

(Sampson)

 

Sampson's jaw dropped in awe.

"How did you... What did you..." Sampson began to lean over his desk to get a closer look at Alex's fists. The sun hit his face and blinded him a little. The desk below him began to quickly rust up and seemed to rapidly age until the desk disintegrated and Sampson fell out of his seat.

"What is going on back there?!" The teacher snapped.

Sampson began to get up, only to hit his head on the desk. Getting back up he realized the desk had put itself together again. It even seemed newer.

"N- nothing teacher..." Sampson muttered. "Won't happen again."

The teacher rolled his eyes and continued lecturing.

"Ok, what the hell is going on?" He said quietly just enough for nearby people to hear.

Skyler saw what Alex was doing with his fists, she couldn't believe it herself, the teacher startled Skyler again to get the class focused again.

"Please tell me that these people are going to continue to act like nothing went wrong."

Skyler swiped her hand out of frustration, a gust of wind lightly swayed a girls hair in the class. The girl started freaking out, wondering what had happened.

"Oh my goodness, what the hell was that? That's so weird, good thing no one really noticed."

 

Takuya has been working hard so far today, making sure things get done.

"This tattoo is really just crazy, like why did it mark me like this? Well can't think about it now."

Takuyas boss screamed for Takuya, he gets freaked out as his boss approaches him. His boss lets him know that he's getting a raise, and then he starts to freak out because Takuya is missing his hand.

"What the hell? Boss I don't understand this, it's like invisible, I can't still feel it, here touch."

His boss is too freaked out to touch it but does it anyway, right when he touches it, it is visible again.

"What the hell?! I am freaking about."

His boss tells him to take the rest of the day off, but he's still getting paid for it.

A small breeze swept through the row Annabelle was in. A boy's face was hurled into his desk, and a girl's hair blew into her eyes. "Is...is...is my presence...hurting people?" Annabelle wondered aloud quietly. "Maybe...I shouldn't be here." Annabelle began to get worried. Her eyes were fearful, for what could happen if she was caught.

"It's probably nothing..." Alex muttered, pulling his hands off his desk and into his lap. Justin watched Alex's hands intently. Was he just... refracting the sunlight over his hands? Justin thought. There's no way that could be possible. But if it is, I haven't seen it before. It might have something to do with the meteorite we saw yesterday... Justin put his elbow on his desk and rested his head on his hand. If it gave him the ability to refract sunlight, what did it do to us? Just what the hell did we see last night?

Annabelle heard talking near her, but she kept quiet, for she wished to hear the teacher's lesson. A boy sitting in front of her left his seat to go up to the teacher. Annabelle took a deep breath, and the desk the boy was in flew down the room, nearly missing the boy and teacher. Most eyes looked to Annabelle. She smiled nervously. "Sorry..." she muttered. "How can you be sorry when you did something on purpose! You almost killed me, and you're sorry?!" the boy yelled, enraged. "It was an accident!" protested Annabelle.

(well that sure escalated quickly.)Students started piping up when they saw the desk fly. "Did she just throw it?" "No way..." "Why would she do that?" "HOW did she do that?" Alex had his face buried in his arms, and snapped it up when he heard the crash. Justin was surprised at what just happened. She was there are the meteorite crash site too... Her power seems to be the ability to control wind... and she's doing it accidentally. He thought. Alex seems to have some control over his ability, probably because he isn't making a big deal and freaking out about it like she is. Or because it's not as big of an ability as hers is. He's controlling just the light, while she is controlling something that's pretty much everywhere, so it's probably more overwhelming to keep that under control. Even though it's not her fault, they're all going to assume she threw the desk with the intent of harming the boy or the teacher.

Skyler was in disbelief of what she has done, she didn't understand it at all.

"Umm I'm... I'm so sorry everyone I don't know what came of me, I just snapped a bit, I need to take a breather."

Skyler quickly ran out of the class room into the bathroom.

"What the hell have I done? Just a swipe of my hand and it makes some crazy wind blow. I have to call my brother."

Skyler calls Takuya to let him know what's happening.

 

Takuya finally got home from work, making himself some lunch, then his phone starts to ring.

"Hey Skyler how are you doing?"

Skyler explains what she had did in the class, Takuya was startled.

"Weird, earlier today my whole hand was invisible, my boss saw it, and told me to take the day off."

She's telling Takuya how scared she is.

"Don't worry, as long ad no one is suspicious, you will be good, finish the rest of te school day off okay?"

<10am?>

(Thank you, that's the idea lol) <11 am>(Sampson)After watching all of this commotion, Sampson had enough of trying to pretend everything was normal.He grabbed Alex and Annabelle and began to leave the room."She must need to cool down I'll take her to the nurses office, Alex will help me.""Why do you need two people to-" Was all Sampson had heard before the door closed behind him."Alright what's going on? Is this normal to you two or are you just as confused as I am?"(Did the crystal do this to us?) He thought to himself.

"I-I don't even know what I did!" Annabelle admitted. "If I walk down the hall, or sit down, or something...people and things act crazy. It must have been that crystal...It's...giving us super-human powers! It's really scary."

Justin watched Sampson grab Alex and Annabelle and drag them out. Seems like he's catching on too. He thought. Justin stood up. "Let them go." He said to the teacher before he could get to the door. "Last night at Homecoming, Annabelle was pretty stressed out and Sampson and Alex were the only ones around to calm her down at the time. Just let them help her out." Justin said, wincing a bit as he lied to the teacher. The teacher nodded. "Get back in your seat." The teacher lifted the desk and set it where it was supposed to be.Alex stumbled as he Sampson dragged him through the door. After Sampson asked the question, Alex remained silent for a few moments, letting Annabelle speak first. "Yeah, I'm confused too. This has never happened to me before I saw that crystal."

Skyler walks out if the women's bathroom to notice a bunc of people from the class are in the hall way.

"Oh... What are you guys doing out of class? Well never mind that, I'm truly terrified of what's going on, I forced wind out of my hands, my brother told me tht his hand was invisible, what the hell is going on!"
