Here are some ideas that I have for a graphic novel that I want to work on when I am older. Some parts of my plans are almost deliberately ideas that have already been used (apparently part of it is exactly like 'Inception'; a film that I have not even seen before), but I would like to know if any of the ideas that I write here sound plagiarised.

On the fictional world in which my planned graphic novel is set, there are three main races of inhabitants:

1. Callusens. These are the equivalent of humans on this world. They resemble beings that are half-way between a stereotypical alien and a human. They are characterised by having (longitudinally) oval-shaped heads, giant eyes that are usually entirely dark purple, white skin, no noses or ears, very small mouths, dark hair, and almost always having skinny builds. They are the only one of the three main races that host a matter known as 'Callous Plasma'. Callusens generally live by the rule that having feelings is a weakness, and this plasma is what prevents them from feeling any emotion. However, if a Callusen is not raised properly and instead does decide to show true emotion, then their Callous Plasma will gradually weaken as they continue to withhold and express emotions throughout their lives. As this happens, their eyes, which are usually dark purple in colour, will gradually turn black, then grey, and finally white; white showing a state of virtually useless Callous Plasma. The occurrence of a death of a Callusen that is in association with another Callusen is what is most likely to cause Callous Plasma to be visible on the outside of a Callusen (to prevent emotions from occurring); its appearance being a grey, smoke-like matter. Callusens are a gradually dying race on this world.

2. Volius. The Volius are generally quite similar in appearance to Callusens, except that each one shows traits of an animal. They will not have noses, ears or fur that will be derived from animals, but features such as skin colour and hair will emulate this. Depending on what animal a Volius shows traits of, this can give a Volius an ability of some sort; e.g. Volius that show traits of birds that can fly have the ability to turn their arms into wings and may be able to fly with them. They do not host Callous Plasma, and though their eyes are normally dark purple, like those of Callusens, they can be in other colours as well. Volius can hybridise with Callusens. If a Volius breeds with a Volius that has the same animal's traits, then the offspring will definitely have the same animal's traits as its parents, but if a Volius hybridises with a Callusen, or a Volius with a different animal's traits, then the offspring will only have a similar appearance to one parent. Volius are the most numerous race on this fictional world.

3. Yukytes. Yukytes, in a nutshell, are anthropomorphic animals, but unlike fictional characters like Mickey Mouse and Sonic the Hedgehog, they are quite realistic in comparison to their real-world counterparts. They do not have any particularly special abilities, though there is a possibility that a Yukyte can show behavioural traits of the animal that it is based on. Yukytes are more numerous than Callusens, but less numerous than Volius. They cannot breed with anything but Yukytes that are based on the same animal.

I would also like to note that all three races live in association with each other, and all three wear clothes; usually black shoes, buttoned shirts, and long pants.

Comments would be appreciated.
