Honor (1x1 between Neko-chan and Sikota Urinakano)

Posted

In Japan's feudal era, noble families often had retainers. Other families of lower rank, solely devoted to serving their masters. Today, such family ties remain, though often less formal, or otherwise forgotten. But one girl in particular will meet her retainer for the first time, and it'll turn her life upside down.

Kurai-chan, post your character and I'll build off of that and we can begin

Immediately

Sasuke sat amidst the branches of the young oak tree. He was supposed to meet his master this morning. 10:00. It was 7:00. He thought it best to show up early as to not disappoint the man he'd be serving for the remainder of his life. He checked his pocket. A compressed blade was there, ready to expand and protect if need be. Sasuke waited. Hours passed. He checked his watch. 9:54. He began to climb down.

Akise began walking down the road, stopping once she caught the eye of someone rather suspicious.

"Are you the freak I was supposed to meet this morning?" she asked Sasuke with a yawn, not even making eye contact.

Sasuke froze. He glanced in this girl's direction. A woman?

He cleared his throat. "Are you the Motoyo I was supposed to meet?"

"Akise Motoyo. Yes." Akise said, looking up at Sasuke.

"Who are you exactly? Name? Age? Background? Family information?" she asked, tilting her head a bit.

Sasuke bowed. "My name is Sasuke Sohma, ma'am. I am fifteen years old, ma'am. Up until today, I have been using all my time training my soul, mind, and body to serve your family ma'am. Such is my families duty." He stood back up. "Ma'am."

"S-Stop calling me ma'am. I'm not older then you! You look seventeen! Plus I don't even know what you mean by serving me. I was not aware of being served whatsoever!" Akise said seriously, looking at Sasuke.

  • Author

"Yes, ma'- er, my apologies, Lady Motoyo. You may have me call you whatever you see fit. You may have me do whatever you see fit." Akise seemed a little confused about the task of the boy before her. "Allow me to explain, ma'- Lady Motoyo. Since ancient times, the Sohma family, from where I stem, has lived to serve your family. It is now my turn to uphold the tradition. I am here to do your bidding, Lady Motoyo."

"Don't call me that either!" Akise yelled.

"I'm not letting you serve me. Go away." she said bluntly, starting to walk away.

"Miss Akise, I-" Sasuke groaned as she was walking away.

He leaned back against the tree. What had he done wrong?

Akise stopped in her tracks, looking at Sasuke.

"Just Akise is fine. Okay?" she said, turning to him.

She was going to give him a chance.

Sasuke got out of his relaxed position.

"I won't disappoint you, Akise!" He declared bowing.

"Thank you then." Akise said with a small smile.

"Now I'm bored...." she complaint, staring straight at Sasuke.

  • Author

"Shall I take you somewhere?" Sasuke asked.

"The day is young. No place in. Japan is too far."

"Or would you rather I escort you home?"

"I can walk home by myself, yet I am out right now so maybe taking me somewhere of your choice." Akise said seriously, looking at Saksuke.

"I barely know this person...how can I trust him...?"

  • Author

Sasuke was slightly taken aback at this. "M-My choice?" He rested his hand against his chin, deep in thought.

"I can think of a few possibilities, miss. The Sohma house, my old dojo, and an outcrop behind a nearby shrine."

"Which one would YOU prefer to go to though?" Akise asked.

"What am I doing...?" she thought.

  • Author

"The shrine's outcrop is the closest and most scenic." Sasuke replied.

"If you'll just follow me." He slowly turned and began walking down the road,

Akise nodded, beginning to closely follow behind Sasuke....a bit too close for them to have just meet.

"You're family must have been really loyal to mine....are we like distant cousins or something?" she asked.

  • Author

"I'm unaware of any blood relation between us." Sasuke replied.

"A simple unremembered pact that dates back before anyone could remember." He sped up a little bit and slowed back down once the distance between them was more... Appropriate.

"We're almost there." He said.

"So Sasuke....you're supposed to do anything as long as I command it....right?" Akise asked.

"Then my first command is....you will let me walk as close to you as I would like to be and you will not move away." She commanded, looking up at Sasuke.

Her eyes were serious, she wasn't kidding about this.

  • Author

Sasuke was rather taken aback at this. "A-Alright." He told her.

"It is my duty to please you, Akise, so you may stand by me as close as you please."

"Good Sasuke." Akise said, looking up at him with a smirk.

She was treating him almost like a dog, however she rather quickly returned a bit too close beside him.
