Honor (1x1 between Neko-chan and Sikota Urinakano)

Posted

In Japan's feudal era, noble families often had retainers. Other families of lower rank, solely devoted to serving their masters. Today, such family ties remain, though often less formal, or otherwise forgotten. But one girl in particular will meet her retainer for the first time, and it'll turn her life upside down.

Kurai-chan, post your character and I'll build off of that and we can begin

"I know I don't." The nurse said defensively.

"Makoto, help us out here." A femal nurse called.

"What is it?"

"Could you take a look?"

Makoto leaned over and checked out Sasuke. "He's sustained a heavy blow to the head." He observed.

"We know that."

Mako to continued. "Might have a couple of broken bones and sprains." He added.

(NUUU NOT MY SASUKE)

"Sasuke..." Akise muttered.

She looked down. This was her fault. She shouldn't have ran. How would he be able to forgive her?

The ambulance came to a stop. "Alright." Makoto declared. "Let's off load." The back of the emergency vehicle opened up. They were just outside the hospital. Makoto pulled a wheelchair out and offered his hand to Akise to assist her out of the ambulance and into the chair. Meanwhile, two other nurses were wheeling Sasuke inside.

Akise took Makoto's hand, and into the wheelchair she went. This was the slightest bit embarrassing. Her father would be furious. Her mother would probably be too. Sasuke was going to be mad. Sasuke would probably have to stay here tonight too.

Akise was wheeled into the hospital. She passed by several bedridden elders and was eventually brought into an empty white room.

"Wait here." Makoto said. "The doctor'll be with you shortly."

Akise sighed, this was the most gloomy place she's ever been in. All she could worry about was Sasuke. However really she needed to be worrying about herself. It's a rather selfish thing to do, but it was true.

"Hopefully shortly will be quickly...." She muttered.

Makoto had left. It was only a few moments before the doctor entered. "Good afternoon." She said. She was rather tall, her skin was a light brown, and her voice had an air of caring. Very... Motherly. "My name is Maiko Sohma." She saw Akise's leg. "What happened?" She asked.

Akise looked at Maiko.

"I ran away..." she began.

"Because when I got home, I was told that my mother was killed. Sasuke, he tried running after me. However I went to the shrine, and tripped running up the steps. Sasuke was still after me so I went to the forest. I ran out of the forest, and Sasuke was there. He passed out and I didn't know what to do...and a girl named Ayano helped us. She is Sasuke's big sister...Father is going to be mad at me, and so is Sasuke..." Akise said quietly.

"I'm so sorry..." Maiko said slowly. "Here, let's take a look at your leg." She walked over and crouched down, observing the wound. After Ayano and Makoto, there probably wasn't much else to say. "I don't believe I caught your name." Maiko said.

"Akise Motoyo." Akise said seriously.

"My friends name is Sasuke." She said.

Maiko hesitated. She neglected to mention any connections with anyone mentioned, she instead immediately and quietly went to looking at Akise's wound. Running gentle fingers up and down her bruised leg, she ran a few of her simple checks, attempting to prevent any pain. Though Akise's reactions would help with the results. "Can you try and straighten your leg for me?" She asked gently.

(YAAAYYY EXAGGERATION TIME)

Akise gave a slow nod, even though she was already flinching because of Maiko's touch on the leg. She slowly straightened it, her fist balled up and her eyes shut tight, it hurt her, but she managed to straighten it.

"There...." She muttered, looking at Maiko.

"Doesn't look like anything's broken." Maiko said. "If it's okay with you would you be willing to stay overnight? We can wrap it up and it sit for a good few hours. That'll be the fastest way to heal. I can go ahead and confirm with your par-" she stopped herself "father if your okay with that plan."

Father. Father would be furious. He would be mad at her because he would have to pay all the bills, unless Sasuke's family could do it. Her mom was the one that mad most of the money. Akise began shaking her head.

"I can't have you do that." She said, her voice had the slightest bit of fear.

"Think about it." Maiko said. "It'd really be for the best." She turned her head back and looked at the door she had came in. It was slightly ajar. "I'm going to check on my little cousin." She told Akise. "You aren't the only one worries about him."

Akise stared at Maiko as she left. Little cousin....? How much family does Sasuke actually have?! Anyway, she actually did start thinking. She would have to stay here, and even though she didn't want to, she would have to.
