Multiple Storylines In Kingdom Hearts III? ( Read )

Posted

Ok, in recent interviews, Tetsuya Numora stated that the gameplay in Kingdom Hearts III would be exactly like the gameplay in Dream Drop Distances. In the " Test Phase " they showed off what looks to be a " Flowmotion " type feature. This could be confirmed. But, what I've REALLY been wondering, and wanting is MULTIPLE, Playable storylines. My idea is, that since it would be just like the gameplay in DDD, and the whole premise sets this up that like in DDD you played for Sora a certain amount of time, than switched, and played Riku's side. Since the whole premise is split into 2 "groups" Sora, Donald, and Goofy, searching for the " Key " to unlock hearts. Meanwhile, Riku, King Mickey, and either Kiari or Lea. Recovering those lost. Doesn't that make any sense? Let me know your opinions, what you feel on it? Would it be the right thing to do? Why? Or Why Not?

I'm going to go out on a limb here but if we could switch between Sora, Riku, and Kairi at will just like you switch between the characters in GTAV that would actually be really cool. I beat GTAV and the system works, the whole game still felt like one massive linear story, no reason it woudn't work for other games

Dear JayReaper,

Sadly, that's not the premise and/or layout of the game. As previously said, it splits into 2 groups. Sora, Donald, and Goofy. And on the other hand, Riku, King Mickey, and a 3rd party member. And as for switching in between all 3...... It's more of an RPG, rather than a free-rang, free roam game. Seemless switching of characters, would go with a game such as GTA. But, I don't think it would work for Kingdom HEarts.

Possibly for multiplayer modes and/or DLC modes. But, I would highly doubt they go in that direction giving the cirumstances.

I want to play as Aqua. Terra, & Ven.  That is my only request.  Unless Nomura focuses the next saga on them, then I don't care :)
