Is Yen Sid Evil, Lazy, or Weak?

Posted

Okay, I understand that Yen Sid 'doffed' his mantle as Keyblade Master and is retired now, so maybe that's why he doesn't do anything, 'cuse in his mind he figures "I did my time, now it's time for me to kick back and enjoy retirement", but he literally just sits there and does nothing but share his knowledge!

In Birth by Sleep, he probably could've prevented what happened to Terra, Ven, and Aqua had he stepped up- I mean, HE was the adult in that situation; with Eraqus taken out, shouldn't Yen Sid have faced Xehanort himself to deal with the problems of the past instead of forcing the burden on the kids of the new generation? Granted Terra and Ven's actions led to the final outcome, but really it was the previous generation (Xehanort) that was bringing about the problems on the new generation.

In KHII everything turned out pretty well, but he still did the same thing: told Sora and the others what to do and left it to them.

In Dream Drop Distance, he 'proctors' the Mark of Mastery exam, but doesn't even realize Xehanort's been interfering until long after it began. Then when they risk losing one of their main Keyblade wielders, he just has every one else go out and save him even though failure could mean complete victory for Xehanort. In the end everything worked out, but had it not and he didn't intervene...

So, do you think he's just accepting retirement full-on and stubbornly refusing to do anything himself anymore besides sharing his wisdom, or did his ventures in the past render him far weaker than he used to be and simply no longer possesses the power/strength to do things himself anymore, or is he secretly in cahoots with Xehanort? o.O

Honestly I think he should be a secret boss in the next KH game.
