"Now now, no need to shout," said Hirobi. "It's against league rules for me to show anyone...plus, it wouldn't be any fun if you knew my teams straight from the beginning! However, I can show you one of my Pokemon..." Said Hirobi, as he walked over to his Feraligatr. "This guy here won the league for me! And he's also, of course, one of my six Pokemon for the league!" He said, as the Feraligatr started smiling at the him.

"So, that Feraligatr's one of them...? Well then, I guess that means that it's not long until we can turn around that last fight. Next time we fight, I'll be the one to win!" Indy seemed certain that the next battle would end in his victory.

 

"Why are you so concerned with the champion battle now? You've only got three badges, you don't need to think that far ahead." Mei reminded Indy.

 

"Oh, right... Well, when the time comes that I'm at the league, I'll take the champion position, Hirobi!" Indy grinned, still overly confident in his skills. Mei sighed in response.

"So, that Feraligatr's one of them...? Well then, I guess that means that it's not long until we can turn around that last fight. Next time we fight, I'll be the one to win!" Indy seemed certain that the next battle would end in his victory.

Meanwhile, Venom was just setting up everything for the meal, and Belle was sitting down on a rock, petting her Espeon.

"Hey, Indy! Don't forget, I'm also taking the league challenge!" Arch exclaimed.

"...Indy, I assume you're thinking why my demeanor looks different," Hirobi asked, clearly knowing the expression on his face, "and the reason is that I act different when I think about the Pokemon League...every League challenger always has different tactics, different ways of bonding with their Pokemon...it's always amazing, battling someone. Don't you agree?"

"Huh... Well, I've never really fought too many trainers. I've seen some league battles on TV... But I know what you mean. Everyone has their own style of battling, and it's always fun to see how certain people raise their Pokemon, or what strategies they use. That's part of the fun of these kinds of journeys, it wouldn't be the same if we couldn't meet other people with the same goal along the way!" He smiled. "There's no experience out there that's like a Pokemon battle! I want to battle everyone I can, and face the best trainers out there! I'll learn from them, and one day, I'll be in the same league as them, too!"

"All Arch does is look at his team for a few minutes, thinks up a few things, and chooses the best options. No foresight, no balance...the kid's one-sided, I tell ya!" Venom then grabbed out a few peppers. "So, who wants it spicy or not?"

"Me too!" Belle exclaimed

 

"Alright, so just one dish without peppers. I already know how Arch likes it, and I love spice in my food..." Venom said to himself, drifting off into a long, quiet speech to himself about everything that goes into the dish, all while doing everything he says to himself. After a certain point, he stops with what appears to be chili, and moves on to pull out a strange machine of sorts.

 

"Hey, what's that?" Belle asked questioningly.

 

"It's a Pokepuff maker. It's apparently popular in the Kalos region, and I wanted to try if our Pokemon would like them as well," Venom said as he pulled out some ingredients to put into the machine. He put in three ingredients at a time, all of them seeming to match a certain flavor. Every time, it only took like 3 minutes for a Pokepuff to pop out of the machine.

Mei nodded. "Right, we can't leave the Pokemon out, too!" As if on cue, Tepig, Totodile, and Houndoom all approached Venom curiously.

 

"Heh, looks like they're hungry. Of course, Houndoom always is." Indy joked.

Just as well, Darumaka, Ralts, Grimer, and Espeon also came over to take a look. "...Aw, come on, just these Pokemon? I could swear I have a lot more to hand out!" Venom says, as even more Pokepuffs come out, definitely a lot more than seven. After a while, all the other Pokemon came over(Assuming that all of your Pokemon also came over, Blaxel), even Hirobi's. "Right, that's more like it! Now, everyone, pick one!" Venom said with a cheerful voice, as he grabbed one of two trays from the table, and set one down on the ground for the smaller Pokemon to grab. Everyone then grabbed one. (And now cue the Poke-talk scenario. Because Wynaut.)

 

"Ooooh, these look DELICIOUS!" Grimer said, looking at his puff. He took a bite out of his. "...OHMIGOSHTHESEAREABSOLUTELYFANTASTIC!" The Grimer said, clearly showing emotion for these delectable treats.

 

Ralts took a bite out of her's. "Yeah, you're right! These ARE delicious!"

 

Grovyle also took a bite. "...Oh...my...gosh..." Grovyle said quietly, as he had his eyes wide in awe.

 

Meanwhile, Darumaka was still examining almost every square inch of it, more curious about it if anything.

Totodile downed his Pokepuff in one gulp. "I need more!" He ran around, content with the treat.

 

"Heh... They are pretty good." Houndoom said, after eating his.

 

"Yeah! it's great!" Tepig exclaimed.

 

"Heh, looks like the Pokemon are enjoying the Pokepuff,s Venom." Indy remarked. "I hope you've got plenty of ingredients, I bet they'll want them again some other time." He laughed.

The Feraligatr started eating his. "...Excellency. Truly an art to be appreciated!" he said, in a bit of a poetic way.

 

"...Feraligatr, stop it. We all know that you're just acting," Scizor said in a joking way.

 

"...Bleh, fine. Rub-a-dub-dub thanks for the grub, it's good. Is THAT better?" Feraligatr said, looking over at Scizor.

 

"Much better!" Scizor exclaimed, looking the jolliest that he's ever been since he joined the party.

Houndoom gave Feraligatr a confused look. "Uh... Right." He muttered.

 

Totodile began to laugh. "I didn't think a guy that tough looking could say something so funny!"

The Feraligatr looked down at the Totodile. "Tough, huh? Well, I'm not really used to hearing terms like that, but I'll take it...more importantly, you remind me a lot of myself when I was younger! Though I guess that's a given, since I'm your final evolution and what-not!"

Totodile looked at Feraligatr in awe. "Oh yeah, I forgot! One day, I'll be a big, strong Feraligatr, too!" He grinned (Although I'm pretty sure Totodiles always grin, just look at their faces).

 

Houndoom laughed. "Dream on, kid. You'll still always be the absentminded ball of energy you are now."

"I wouldn't be too sure about that," Scizor said, looking down at Houndoom. "All Pokemon have some sort of hidden potential, even Pokemon like Totodile. Trust me, I've seen all kinds of Pokemon evolve...even Pokemon more...erm..."energetic" than him!"

 

"Exactly! I mean, I was just like him when I was younger, and look at me now! Strongest Pokemon in the world!" The Feraligatr said, striking a triumphant pose. A few seconds later, Scizor grabbed his arm, and pinned it behind him. "Gah! Uncle! Uncle!" The Feraligatr pleaded, which then caused Scizor to let go. "Jesus...why do you always do that?"

 

"To prove to you that there's never a Pokemon that's ever 'the strongest' " Scizor said, looking at Feraligatr.

 

"...Right, right...you always tell me that..." said Feraligatr, giving an expression that basically anyone would give after they've been scolded by someone.

Houndoom eyed Totodile. "Right... I still don't see it." He muttered.

 

"Hey, what do you mean?" Totodile looked a little hurt.

 

"Oh, nothing..." Houndoom muttered.

"You should be more courteous to your teammates," Scizor said, looking down at Houndoom.

 

"He's right!" Ralts said, trying to cheer up Totodile by hugging him.

 

"He's right you know..." Said Feraligatr, also looking down at the Houndoom.

"...Touchy moments like these...they remind me of my old days..." Feraligatr said, almost drifting off into space.

 

"Yeah, sure thing, grandpa!" Scizor said in a cheerful, ecstatic way.

 

"Yeah...h-hey! I'm not THAT old..."

Totodile laughed. "Yeah right, grampa!" He began laughing hysterically, finding the conversation much funnier than he should have.

 

"You sure look that old to me." Even Houndoom joined in the joking.

"For your information, I'm only as old as my trainer...making me 20," Feraligatr said, not looking amused at all.

 

"Right, right...So, changing subjects, how's everyone been?" Scizor asked.

 

"Just fine. Versatile as always..." Feraligatr replied, looking over at his own comrades, who have gone off to converse among themselves.

 

"What do you mean by 'versatile'?" Ralts asked.

 

"Oh, nothing really. Just that they all have...colorful personalities, if you know what I mean" Feraligatr replied, making sure that none of the others heard him.
