I probably did not pay attention to something that was explained in the game, but was it ever explained how AZ the yeti managed to live for such a long time? Is it something to do with the machine? If anyone plans on replying to this, please be serious in your answer.

I'm fairly certain that the machine he used, did in fact grant him eternal life. It wasn't directly stated in the flashback, nor at the end of the game, but since the machine was able to make his Floette live forever, it would make sense to assume that it could do the same for him. He may have just used its power to make himself immortal before reviving Floette, but it was never really made clear.

 

Of course, when factoring together that this guy apparently lived for 3000 years, and the fact that he had control over a machine that could grant eternal life 3000 years ago, it's sort of just assumed that he used it on himself at some point.
