I have questions for the Hunger Games.

1. Why is Hunger Games: Mocking Jay divided into 2 parts?2. *SPOILER* Who and Why drew the picture of Rue before Katniss came in to demonstrate her talent thingy?3. *SPOILERS*What happened to District 12?How did it go down?4. *SPOILERS*What was President Snow's Plan?5. How did Haymich get in this?6. *SPOILERS*Why did they kill the people when they put three fingers up?

1- To milk the franchise for more money

2- Peeta did to rebel and remind the Capitol he's not just a piece in their games- like psychological warfare. Same for Katniss afterwards with hanging the dummy

3- After the tributes escape the Capitol destroyed District 12 as punishment

4-To kill Katniss and Peeta and take away any hope for rebellion at the same time

5- Haymitch wanted to save both Katniss and Peeta and the other victors he befriended while finally finding a way to take a stand against the Capitol and start the revolution

6- To teach other people that any form or support of rebellion shall be dealt with with brute force and death .

1. I don't know why.

2. Peeta did. He doesn't want to get a good score. He wants to die, so he tried to make them mad.

3. The Capitol destroyed District 12 with Fire bombs. Remember: Didtrict 12 is covered in coal dust, so it would burn very easily.

4. Snow is a cheater and a snake. He wants power and he wants to stay in power. Katniss is a symbol of hope for the people, so he hates her and believes her to be a threat to his power.

5. He is fed up with the Capitol and he cheated and used them against themselves in his games in outright defiance. After seeing what Katniss means to the people, he wanted to get revenge on the Capitol for forcing him into their Games.

6. It is a symbol of respect in District 12, when people do that, it means that they honor and love that person, it is generally done at funerals. Because it happened in District 11, it shows unity in the Districts, something the Capitol does not want. If the Districts gain strength, they gain hope. Hope can turn into defiance. Defiance into rebellion. Rebellion into war. Without the Districts, the Capitol is nothing. However, this will be explained more in the next book/movie.

1. The last book is divided into two movies because of the financial success of the last two Harry Potter movies and last two Twilight movies.  Both final books in these series were made into two movies, so Lionsgate followed suit (basically, it's for the money.)

2. Peeta drew the picture of Rue because he wanted to make the Gamemakers feel guilty about Rue's death.

3. District 12 was blown up by the Capitol.  Due to Katniss being the symbol of rebellion, President Snow sent Capitol hovercrafts to the district to blow it up.

4. At the beginning of Catching Fire, Snow's plan was to have Katniss convince the citizens of Panem that her attempt to eat the berries at the end of the Hunger Games was not an act of rebellion, but an act of love.  However, this failed, and so Snow set up the Quarter Quell so he could get Katniss to re-enter the arena and, hopefully, die.

5. Are you asking how Haymitch got involved in the rebellion?  Basically, he was approached by Heavensbee and other rebels and asked for his cooperation.  He kept Peeta and Katniss out of the loop until the force field in the arena was blown up.

6. The three-finger symbol is a sign of respect/farewell.  The people were killed when they did this because they were showing their respect for Katniss, the Mockingjay, the hero, the rebel.  Thus, respecting the rebel is an act of rebellion and defiance.
