False Light, Consuming Darkness (Roleplay)

Posted

(Optional Soundtrack)

In a timeline parallel to the one in Kingdom Hearts, the Keyblade War has come to an end. The difference in this timeline is, instead of the darkness taking over and the lights in children’s hearts bringing the worlds back, the light is utterly victorious. The Keyblade Wielders who sought to obtain the X-Blade have been crushed- with those who wield the light believing themselves to be those chosen by Kingdom Hearts.

The world has been broken apart by the terrible war, but the residents of each individual world pay little heed to this detail. They go about their lives, not troubling themselves with matters outside their own worlds now.

This would be fine enough, but those who won the war have become drunk with power. The Keyblade Wielders of light have lost sight of their former selves, becoming tyrants and dictators who despise the dark greatly. Because of this, they stop at nothing to destroy anyone with even the tiniest bit of darkness in their heart; they do this in an effort to prevent a second Keyblade War from ever happening.

This has brought peace, in theory, but the truth of the matter is everyone who bends to the will of those who wield light do so only out of fear. Is this true peace? Should the light be allowed to control the worlds simply because of their former righteousness?

A small group of rebels, some the descendents of those who fought, died, or merely lived during the Keyblade War, have come together for a common cause: to put an end to the light’s tyranny. Situated on a small, forgotten chunk of a former world, the seemingly abandoned mansion in which they reside houses each and every one of them. It is from here they travel to other worlds to bring back true peace, and also here where they go to rest up or merely kick back with one another. This outpost has been given the designation Garland Hub, for one of its members merely named it after the first thing she could see.

Meanwhile, those who fight for the light and protect the X-Blade have made their base in a world called The Land of Departure. It is here where veterans of the Keyblade War and their students reside, acting as a base of sorts and is primarily the light’s equivalent to Garland Hub.

Having come from various different backgrounds, the rebels have trained and honed their skills so that they may begin to make a difference. Those of the light merely learn from their Masters and travel forth to the worlds as enforcers.

Those who wish to remove the light from power, and those who wish to govern with it…just what drives them? And whose resolve will win out in the end and ultimately shape the worlds and their inhabitants? The answer lies within each of their individual decisions…

Okay, so here are the rules I can think of:

[*]No God Modding

[*]You can be multiple characters and even have characters on either side of the conflict

[*]You can be an Apprentice or a Master should you choose Enforcer, but should you choose Rebel, you need to be an Apprentice who may or may not have experience- the rebels have no adult leadership or Masters at the time being.

[*]Romance is allowed, but must be PG-13 at most

[*]Please refrain from too much foul language

[*]You can’t kill someone else’s character unless you both contact me that this is something you both are okay with- I don’t want anyone getting bullied >:S

[*]There are NO Original Kingdom Hearts characters in this timeline- so no Sora, Roxas, Terra, Xehanort, etc. They did not exist before the current timeline occurs either, so they cannot be referenced.

[*]Disney characters exist in their respective worlds, you CANNOT kill them unless you pm me and I approve it. I would probably only approve it if their death is canon, so don’t go trying to slay the 7 Dwarfs xP

I think that’s it, I’ll add to this post if it’s necessary! ^^

If you’re going to join, at least fill out the specifics, then begin posting as your character after I give the okay! ^^

How long have I been laying here? A minute? An hour? I have no sense of time here in Garland Hub, as the sky is always dark. The worlds illuminate the sky as stars, but never cease to hang there above us- there is no daytime here anymore. Perhaps this is the side effect of this world being incomplete?

There’s only a small chunk left of this mysterious world, and on it sits the mansion in which we all reside. We’re pretty different, all here for an array of reasons, but we all share a common goal: to overthrow the Enforcers.

They’ve been bullying each of the worlds and their inhabitants, so I say enough is enough. I will fight, to put an end to this false peace, and remove the fear that governs everyone to act like sheep under the Enforcer’s rule.

Sitting up, I throw my legs over the side of the bed and stand up- I’m ready, I’ve been training myself for years and honing the techniques Mom and Dad taught me…I need to start making a difference.

I open the door to my room as quietly as possible, as the others are all sleeping in their own rooms- or at least I assume they are. I don’t want to trouble them, so I’ll go out on my own for this mission: to finally begin making our presence known, and let the Enforcers know they can’t keep getting away with acting like dictators.

Weaving my way through the halls, I make it to the ground floor and head out the front doors. There’s a porch, but beyond that is merely space- the chunk of land this mansion sits atop is only enough to actually hold the mansion; the grounds that once surrounded it have disappeared completely. Maybe this is why the Enforcers don’t know of this place- as it is simply a beaten up, old looking mansion in the middle of space…or maybe they just don’t care.

Whatever the reason is, it’s no concern of mine at the time being. Summoning my Keyblade, I’m about to turn it into a Keyblade Glider when I stop and hesitate- should I really go out to a new world all on my own? I mean it’s not entirely new, Dwarf Woodlands they’re called, I’ve visited there once or twice, but now I plan on going there to actually pick a fight with the Enforcers. Should I really tackle this challenge on my own? I look back at the lobby of the mansion, wondering if I should see if anyone else wants to go…

(I shall make the leader of the Enforcers...when I get on tonight xD)

(Fine...)

Lyon was hit by the blast and propelled across town. Struggling to her feet, her armor of light fell away. She attempted to summon a light portal, but to no avail. She was drained. Lyon pouted, but there was nothing she could do to get back to the fight quickly. She'd have to walk. Fortunately, the flashing lights and loud explosions easily indicated where the others were. She sighed, and started on her way. She was too exhausted to sprint, and her mana was drained, so walking it was.

-A While Later-

Lyon had found her way back to the battlefield. Only one rebel was left. Many others were fallen around the area. Lyon walked up next to Horizon. " Mighty good job ya did." She muttered. Only one was left. Lyon walked up next to the girl. "Do you admit to your crimes against the Light?" She asked the lone rebel, Redemption in her hand.

"No!" Kirito screamed. "Don't! Don't hurt her!" He ran up to her. "Let's put her in prison, interrogate her, find out about the rebels!"

Lyon glared at Kirito. "You are third in command correct? Then stand over there and have faith that I will do OUR job." Lyon spoke slightly angry at Kirito's pleading. Lyon turned back to Light. She muttered something, and an invisible dome stretched over the two of them. "Now nobody else can interfere with us. They cannot come close, or hear us. So, let me ask you again. Do you admit to your crimes? If you do not, then this will not be so pleasant. And I much prefer pleasant things." Lyon said calmly. She hated threats. She hated lots of things about her job. But what she was doing, was for the good of all the worlds.

"Please!" A tear formed for some reason. This girl… what did she mean to him? "Just surrender! We'll take you to jail! Just give up!!"

Horizon sighed, "Lyon..subdue Kirito." Horizon said, giving Kirito an apathetic glance. Horizon could tell something was up with Kirito and Light -had the Enforcer fallen for her?- and so needed to stop anything from happening that would further complicate the situation.

"We will arrest the rebels here, and return them to the higher ups. They will receive their sentences from them. Better than complicating this."

Taking everything in, I decide to lower my Keyblade and allow it to disappear. With three Enforcers and everyone else injured, I don't want to put my friends at risk.

"Fine...we committed the crimes..." I admit, looking down. Guess I'm headed back to The Land of Departure yet again...

"Thank you…" Kirito said. He walked to Light, and whispers to her "what have you done to me?"

I give the Enforcer a puzzled look. "I really don't know how you think you know me, I don't remember seeing you around," I reply, trying to place him, but to no avail.

Lyon nodded to Horizon. She grasped Kirito's shoulder, and pulled him away from the Rebel. She snapped her fingers, and handcuffs of light appeared around Light. Happy with her work, she spawned another light portal, one that would lead to Disney Castle. Before she stepped through, Lyon glanced back at Horizon. "By the way, I dealt with Ryonne. He won't be a problem any longer." She said it as fact. There was no doubt in her voice. Turning back to the prisoner, she prodded the Rebel through the portal, and stepped through herself. "Kirito, deal with the rest of the unconscious prisoners. Bring them all to Disney Castle." Lyon's voice floated through the portal before it closed behind her.

A figure lay in the darkness. There was no longer any fight, nothing to do. Now, alone was all the person was. They lay without movement in the darkness. A light flashed in the distance. The figure stirred.

"Yes, mam..." He said. He walked over to Rens unconscious body, an dragged it, putting cuffs on him.

Horizon sighed. This wasn't how he had hoped it would go. Yes, the rebels had been subdued and arrested. But he expected something other than this. He knew well that the rebels held no honor and were oft to use guerrilla tactics, but this wasn't what he expected.

"Hurry up and let's get going." He said, putting a few fingers to his forehead.

The Land of Departure...who named it that anyway? What does it mean? A world whose residents are destined to leave? Departure...departing life? A world where those who inhabit it are doomed to die one day?

...such useless thoughts are a sign of my growing restlessness. With a sigh, I rise up from my throne and slowly make my way towards the 'crystal ball'. That's not its actual designation, but ever since hearing the term some years ago from Uncle's bedtime stories it merely stuck...may he rest in peace.

Stopping alongside the device, I wave a hand over it, only to see the Council has summoned me to Disney Castle...

I suppose I can leave for now...The Land of Departure indeed...

Kirito looked at Light. More visions appeared in his head, flames and death. Her face, a shadowy portrait. He couldn't belive it, but amidst he flame, her face was one of protection…

Just as I'm about to step through the portal of light, I look back at the Enforcer who claims to know me. He's looking over at me as well. Turning back to the portal, I step through it- wondering just who he is.

"Oh, I almost forgot!" He went and picked up Harumi as well. Kirito looked around. "Where's the other one?"

Stepping out of the Corridor of Light, I find myself inside the massive Throne Room of Disney Castle...this room is far too large. Slowly, I begin walking down the red carpet towards the empty throne. If I'm lucky, I may reach the throne before nightfall.

Just who in their right mind would design this place? The hallways are far too long, along with rooms whose ceilings touch the sky. The space would've been far better served if multiple stories had been built...perhaps I'll get a team on that.

We could use the locals...I'm sure they'd rather be working construction as opposed to being locked up. This place calls forth very little darkness, therefore the number of Enforcers positioned here wouldn't be adequate enough to undergo a construction project...we don't even have a Colonel overseeing this world.

Oh? It would appear the ramblings within my head have gotten me to the throne, thank the Light. Now that I can sit down, it would seem all that remains is to await my guests...why did the Council choose this world, and for what purpose?

...Disney Castle...just what is 'Disney'?

Lyon walked forward, and reaching the center of the throne room, curtsied for Alyssa quickly, then began to speak. "High Enforcer Alyssa, Captain Horizon, Private Kirito, and I, Captain Lyon have achieved the mission the Council set us out on. The band of rebels have all been dealt with, and the majority, brought here for trial and punishment." Lyon spoke in her most respectable voice, reporting the outcome of the mission. She prodded Light forward, and gestured for Kirito to come forward with the rest of the prisoners.

~~~~~~~~
Severa stirred in her slumber. She still lay where Horizon had left her. Her skin glowed, alternating between a light shine, and a dark gleam, as if her body could not decide which was her way.
Kirito brought the bodies to the leader. "The were responsible for many of our disturbances." He tossed Ren onto the floor. "This one reeks if it, and i can see him being a stronger threat." He tossed Harumi as well.
Who built this place...the Port Royal team is here, but with...
"Congratulations on your victory, you should all be very proud of yourselves." A trial? I suppose the Council didn't make the news public yet. "...trials have been absolved by the Council during your absence, but upon your testimonies we can have each and every one of these..." Is there even a word to describe them? "...regardless, they can be stricken down if any of you confirm these individuals are, in fact, using the darkness."
Wait, that boy Kirito just threw down...he reeks of the darkness. Despicable. The girl he threw down is one of ours too, a traitor perhaps?
((I have no idea what I should write, almost everyone's gone through the portal :/ Sorry, I'm not the best at RPs))
(Yea, basically, you've beed captured )
((Thanks, I was really lost. I need to post more.))
Nova's hate for the Enforcers grew bigger and bigger each second. Now that he and the rest of the group was captured, who would restore true light? What could the Enforcers possibly do to them.
Kirito couldn't stand to see the girl in pain. "My lord," he asked Alyssa. "Can I go see the doctor? I've come down with something …"
