False Light, Consuming Darkness (Roleplay)

Posted

(Optional Soundtrack)

In a timeline parallel to the one in Kingdom Hearts, the Keyblade War has come to an end. The difference in this timeline is, instead of the darkness taking over and the lights in children’s hearts bringing the worlds back, the light is utterly victorious. The Keyblade Wielders who sought to obtain the X-Blade have been crushed- with those who wield the light believing themselves to be those chosen by Kingdom Hearts.

The world has been broken apart by the terrible war, but the residents of each individual world pay little heed to this detail. They go about their lives, not troubling themselves with matters outside their own worlds now.

This would be fine enough, but those who won the war have become drunk with power. The Keyblade Wielders of light have lost sight of their former selves, becoming tyrants and dictators who despise the dark greatly. Because of this, they stop at nothing to destroy anyone with even the tiniest bit of darkness in their heart; they do this in an effort to prevent a second Keyblade War from ever happening.

This has brought peace, in theory, but the truth of the matter is everyone who bends to the will of those who wield light do so only out of fear. Is this true peace? Should the light be allowed to control the worlds simply because of their former righteousness?

A small group of rebels, some the descendents of those who fought, died, or merely lived during the Keyblade War, have come together for a common cause: to put an end to the light’s tyranny. Situated on a small, forgotten chunk of a former world, the seemingly abandoned mansion in which they reside houses each and every one of them. It is from here they travel to other worlds to bring back true peace, and also here where they go to rest up or merely kick back with one another. This outpost has been given the designation Garland Hub, for one of its members merely named it after the first thing she could see.

Meanwhile, those who fight for the light and protect the X-Blade have made their base in a world called The Land of Departure. It is here where veterans of the Keyblade War and their students reside, acting as a base of sorts and is primarily the light’s equivalent to Garland Hub.

Having come from various different backgrounds, the rebels have trained and honed their skills so that they may begin to make a difference. Those of the light merely learn from their Masters and travel forth to the worlds as enforcers.

Those who wish to remove the light from power, and those who wish to govern with it…just what drives them? And whose resolve will win out in the end and ultimately shape the worlds and their inhabitants? The answer lies within each of their individual decisions…

Okay, so here are the rules I can think of:

[*]No God Modding

[*]You can be multiple characters and even have characters on either side of the conflict

[*]You can be an Apprentice or a Master should you choose Enforcer, but should you choose Rebel, you need to be an Apprentice who may or may not have experience- the rebels have no adult leadership or Masters at the time being.

[*]Romance is allowed, but must be PG-13 at most

[*]Please refrain from too much foul language

[*]You can’t kill someone else’s character unless you both contact me that this is something you both are okay with- I don’t want anyone getting bullied >:S

[*]There are NO Original Kingdom Hearts characters in this timeline- so no Sora, Roxas, Terra, Xehanort, etc. They did not exist before the current timeline occurs either, so they cannot be referenced.

[*]Disney characters exist in their respective worlds, you CANNOT kill them unless you pm me and I approve it. I would probably only approve it if their death is canon, so don’t go trying to slay the 7 Dwarfs xP

I think that’s it, I’ll add to this post if it’s necessary! ^^

How long have I been laying here? A minute? An hour? I have no sense of time here in Garland Hub, as the sky is always dark. The worlds illuminate the sky as stars, but never cease to hang there above us- there is no daytime here anymore. Perhaps this is the side effect of this world being incomplete?

There’s only a small chunk left of this mysterious world, and on it sits the mansion in which we all reside. We’re pretty different, all here for an array of reasons, but we all share a common goal: to overthrow the Enforcers.

They’ve been bullying each of the worlds and their inhabitants, so I say enough is enough. I will fight, to put an end to this false peace, and remove the fear that governs everyone to act like sheep under the Enforcer’s rule.

Sitting up, I throw my legs over the side of the bed and stand up- I’m ready, I’ve been training myself for years and honing the techniques Mom and Dad taught me…I need to start making a difference.

I open the door to my room as quietly as possible, as the others are all sleeping in their own rooms- or at least I assume they are. I don’t want to trouble them, so I’ll go out on my own for this mission: to finally begin making our presence known, and let the Enforcers know they can’t keep getting away with acting like dictators.

Weaving my way through the halls, I make it to the ground floor and head out the front doors. There’s a porch, but beyond that is merely space- the chunk of land this mansion sits atop is only enough to actually hold the mansion; the grounds that once surrounded it have disappeared completely. Maybe this is why the Enforcers don’t know of this place- as it is simply a beaten up, old looking mansion in the middle of space…or maybe they just don’t care.

Whatever the reason is, it’s no concern of mine at the time being. Summoning my Keyblade, I’m about to turn it into a Keyblade Glider when I stop and hesitate- should I really go out to a new world all on my own? I mean it’s not entirely new, Dwarf Woodlands they’re called, I’ve visited there once or twice, but now I plan on going there to actually pick a fight with the Enforcers. Should I really tackle this challenge on my own? I look back at the lobby of the mansion, wondering if I should see if anyone else wants to go…

"I was doing just that..." Said Ren "but you are the boss. Tell me what my punishment is, lecture me. Whatever it is you planned..."

"I want you to fall back and be patient until I know that we're ready." He growls and turns away, walking out. "Same goes for Light. You tell her the news. I'm not going to be the one to deal with her shit." He exits the room and leaves, summoning his Shadowblade. He needs somewhere to go to clear his mind- to cool off his anger. He's soon gone.

Ren felt the force of the sword slam. He waited a couple of seconds before leaving to see if Light was around. He knocked on her door. He also saw that one eyed girl... Who's name eluded him...

I'm fast asleep, not enjoying a dream but rather simply surrounded by the darkness it brings- that is until someone knocks at the door.

Now awake, I take a few seconds to get my bearings, yawning and sitting up.

Throwing my legs over the side of the bed, I jump off and walk over to the door and open it, seeing Ren.

"Oh there you are!" I exclaim, as I remember his sudden disappearance the night- or day, before...the sky's always black here... "So, what's up?"

"We have to be more covert in our operations." Renton said. "Daniel has scolded me."

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wjB6fwPRma0 (Optional Soundtrack) I see..." I cross my arms, thinking, "Well, he may be our self-appointed leader, but that only gives him so much authority over us- plus he's just fifteen years old, so I can understand his being skeptical about going out. But the Enforcers are conquering new worlds every day- we have to do something!"I withhold my plan from Ren, trying to feel him out and see if he agrees with me or not- we're supposed to be a team, so we shouldn't be fighting amongst ourselves anyway.Still, we all do hail from different backgrounds, so our ideals are bound to clash unfortunately.

"Well... That's your opinion." Ren said. "I guess you have a plan that you aren't telling me?"

Horizon sat cross-legged on one of the marble steps that lead up to the Land of Departure's Castle. Now a front for the Enforcer's effort, Horizon found himself stationed here. His eyes were closed, and he felt peace. Nearly everyday he meditated just like this--as if there was anything else to do on this world. The 'rebels' rarely reared their heads, which left Horizon bored and in need of something to occupy his time.

So he turned to meditating. His keyblade sat on his lap, his hands held together and pressing against his forehead. A tension was rising in the air--he could feel it. At some point soon, things would get interesting.

Ren was frustrated. Sure, he was reckless, but he was helping a comrade out. He noticed everyone was looking at him weird. Then he saw the poster.

It was a picture of him in his robe, attacking a enforcer. In a minute, he would have to fight.

"Stop right there young-"

Ren dashed away from the enforcer

The enforcer called out on radio "All higher ups, we have found the boy. He is resisting arrest. Be advised, armed and dangerous."

"That's right!" I cheerfully tell Ren, "You needn't worry yourself about it though, if Daniel ends up getting mad I don't want to drag you all with me."

With this I go back to the door and place my hand on the doorknob. "You should probably post a note or something and leave it on the front door explaining that Daniel doesn't want anyone to go out, that way no one gets in trouble," I tell him, as I slowly close my door, "Thanks for telling me Ren- be safe!"

Closing my door, I'm alone yet again; well, minus the girl that occupies the other bed in my room. Huh, I hadn't even noticed her- she's new! Taking the my blanket off my bed, I go over and place it over her just in case the one she's using isn't enough.

Returning to my own bed, I lay back down and close my eyes. I need to prepare myself for the coming battle- I'm done sitting around while the Enforcers' tyranny spreads. If Daniel doesn't want others to go out, I need to set off on my own; I don't want any of the others getting in trouble because of me.

Daniel walks along side the dark ocean, talking to himself as usual when he's mad. "They never listen... Is it because I'm the youngest? Ugh, I don't get it..." He sighs, looking down, letting his black bangs fall into his field of vision. He swung his keyblade around and growled, closing his eyes with irritation. He felt nowadays that he never got anything.

(They should invent roleplayers block.)

((XDD))

(They should invent roleplayers block.)

(You and me both.)

(You and me both.)

(You could chase after Ren. You are enforcer, right?)

(You could chase after Ren. You are enforcer, right?)

(Guess I can try that. Just saying my creativity and all that is rather low.)

Horizon sighed and stood up. So they found one of the rebels. He grumbled, not liking that he had to be taken from his meditation session. Duty called, and as a 'higher-up' it was his duty to sort out this mess. He sighed, checking where the Enforcer had located the rebel.

"Some other world." Horizon muttered, disappearing in an instant. Only a moment later did he appear near where Ren and the other rebels were located. "I see. All of them gathered in one spot. Fools."

"Huh?" Daniel looks up from the shoreline and furrows his brows, his face confused. He... feels something. Something bad. And it's tugging at him to get going now. He mutters. "Something's not right... Could it be...?" He then suddenly grabs his keyblade and runs off back to where Ren and the others were, hoping that this terrible feeling is just a false.

Damn.

Ren got them in this mess.

Time to pay up. "No. They are innocent." He felt so stupid, trying to take this Mano e Mano " I am the leader." He rushed at Horizon, blades at the ready.

Daniel's feeling grows worse.

His heart races.

He can feel his Shadowblade is trembling in his hand.

Horizon blocked Ren's attack.

"You are one of those types of people. The heroic do-gooder." Horizon murmured, "Taking the responsibly for yourself. That won't work. All of you will fall before Last Sunrise, and shall be arrested." Horizon said, giving Ren a blank look. "I do not care if you are the leader or not. Nor if any of you are innocent. Being with a rebel is a crime on its own."

"You are right about one of those things," said Ren "Being a rebel is a crime, but " he sent a flurry of slashes at Horizon. "Fighting for a cause that you want is priceless-" he was kneed in the stomach." Agh!" He kneeled over in pain. Damn, this enforcer was powerful.

Horizon felt his slashes cut his robes, and in several places made some mild cuts. He didn't even flinch and looked at Ren.

"Weak." Horizon murmured, "I didn't even kick you." Horizon sighed, putting a palm before Ren's head, "You're under arrest, by orders of the Enforcers. Stay still so I may place Stopra."

"How about you shut up!" He cast Silence at the enforcer. If that worked...

(Is there a spell like that?)

(Yes. Stop, Stopra, Stopga.)

Horizon opened his mouth, trying to say words. He frowned, not a word coming out.

It seems his spell worked. Interesting. Horizon thought, frowning some more as he held the keyblade's blade close to Ren's neck. Eventually the spell would wear off. Horizon never bothered to take remedies or potions--usually he never really used them.

"How about we strike a deal, hmm?" Ren said."They leave. I stay. Say nothing if you don't have a problem..." Ren couldn't resist that joke. It was unbecoming.
