Soul Eater: Return of the Kishin (1x1 with Black Star and Crona)

Posted

So... Yeah. Crona and I are doing a 1x1 RP. We've come up with the plot and everything, and I don't really know how to start this off, so... Yeah.

100 years after the students of the DWMA defeated the Kishin Asura, a new threat has begun to rise. A group of unsuspecting Weapons and Meisters are faced with the task of stopping this threat, or else the whole world will fall into chaos.

My character (I'm going with my own sheet, Crona can add what he wants to his)

Name: May Fare

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Appearance: May has medium length brown hair. She usually wears a red t-shirt with black shorts. She's also very short for her age.

Bio: May had been raised like most other ordinary children. However, at the age of 13, she learned that she had the ability to turn into a katana. She learned that there were other people with powers like her, and people who could use her in battle. She also heard legends of these kinds of people having to save the world from evil souls. As much as this fate scared her, she knew that she'd have to find others like her to team up with. At the age of 15, she'd found other Weapons, as well as Meisters, and tagged along with them.

Personality: May is a shy, timid girl. She had often been rejected throughout her life, and was scared by interactions with others. However, when she did make friends, she often enjoyed their company, and felt somewhat more relaxed around them.

Weapon/Meister: Weapon

Weapon Form: A katana with a black blade, and a red guard.

Name: Brooklyn Morz (Yes, I'm busting Brooklyn out.)

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Appearance: (His appearance is slightly different than what you know, just in outfit.) He wears a black jacket(Think of the one Kirito used in the new special in Alfhiem) and royal-blue jeans, and black with white-trimmed gloves and a crown necklace(KH crown) He has a light-tan, orange, large, poofy hair, and leaf-green eyes.

Bio: A street-rat defending the places he called home with whatever weapons he could get, eventually, he learned of his ability to see souls and the fact he were a Miester, he actually started a small "Gang" so to speak of weapons and Miesters that protect the streets from to-be Kishin, and recently a new member came to join called May Fare. Brooklyn has no specific partner yet, as none of the current members of the gang resonate well enough with him.

Personality: Brave, determined,  self-sacrificing, friendly, and loyal

Weapon/Meister: Miester

I'll get it started.

It was an early day: Five to-be kishin's just racking up kills until our team stopped them. The students of the DWMA have become soft in this time of peace- they almost never actually go on missions, Death the Kid handles most of the major ones, so the students rarely practice or work for what they do in the school now, and since there are so many large hits on the smaller scale, street punks get away with a lot, or at least they did a hell of a lot more before the little team Brooklyn had made took to the streets. "Five more today alone, man..." Brooklyn sighed, lying on the shingles of the house he decided to rest on. It was getting harder to keep up with all the new enemy's, they were getting stronger, faster, better. "Man, this is what the students learning to fight Kishin should be doing, not us having to try and clean up..." He sighed, getting up. "Well, tomorrow there is the entrance exam... If our group can get into the school, we can get so much stronger that we could help eliminate the threats with ease..." He thought, looking at the sun set. The rest of the team was inside the house Brooklyn laid on, it served as their home base...

May sat in her chair, feeling tense and nervous. Around the table were other people who she'd never met before. She was new to this whole Kishin hunting group, and the others all seemed to know each other very well. She hadn't even fought before, so she didn't know if any of them would even be able to use her. She quietly sighed. Why did I get myself stuck here anyway...? She silently asked. I feel so out of place here...

Suddenly, a scream. It came from the direction of a Pumpkin Shaped House where supposedly the magic cat Blair once resided. Brooklyn jumped down to the base floor, then opened the door. "Sounds like an attack, guy's, get ready."

A quiet voice sprung up out of no-where, quickly going to just below a wispier to a grand yell, the yell in total was a single word: "Yahoo!" one of the team mates had yelled, coming from the back of the house, strait to the front. She was a short, orange-haired girl who wore a simple purple and black blouse and dark blue schoolgirls skirt, a black cardigan, and a odd-looking pair of gauntlets. she had green eyes. "Misty and Mac reporting for duty, Brookie boy!" The girl, Misty, was almost always first to sign up. "Where she gets her energy from, I'll never know." The gauntlets, presumably Mac, Misty's brother, had a very relaxed, monotone sounding voice, almost exactly different comparatively to Misty's energetic, high-toned voice. "Brookie, I think you should try to use me again, too!" Misty said, a pleading look in her eyes, it was obvious to everyone that she had at least a heart and a half for Brooklyn, and despite the pleading look and Brooklyn normally being unable to say no to the girl, he shook his head. "Last time we tried we both bled from our eye-sockets, and we can't be having that, y'know?" Brooklyn noticed the hurt look in her eyes, and he wished he could say yes, but it wasn't safe to try right then and there. "Give it a rest, Misty. Brook's right in this situation. Maybe in practice scenario's it's OK, but in real combat it's not safe." He said, trying to console Misty best he could in weapon form. She sighed, saying "Switch..." Mac only obeyed, switching back to human form, he had black, strait, shoulder-length hair with a single little "swoop" in the very front that went over his head, wearing a simple white button-up and black skinnyjeans, as well as some sneakers. He had the same eyecolor as Misty. Misty, however, became a buster sword as she transformed into her weapon form.

"Weapon and Miester blood, how odd it is..." Brooklyn thought as he watched there shifting out process. "Well, Misty volunteered us, so we'll go." Mac looked Brooklyn in the eyes, but then looked away a moment later. The other members started to get up so they could go, but Brooklyn just shook his head again. "I only need out new member to come with us, two may just be a bit overkill, actually." He said, then looking at May, he nodded and walked out, Mac followed.

May was nervous. He wants me to come with already? I haven't even practiced yet... "Yes, sir." She spoke quietly, and stood up. She followed Brooklyn and Mac outside. "So, uh..." She looked at Brooklyn. "Does this mean you'll be my Meister, then...?" She asked. She was somewhat frightened, she'd never had to fight before. She didn't know what it was like, having to battle a Kishin.

"Not too sure. All depends if we can resonate well enough to work together." Brooklyn said, closing the door behind them. "But we should hurry so it doesn't get away, we'll show you how things roll today." Brooklyn said, beginning to run to the old pumpkin-shaped house with Mac on his tail and May behind them. "Okay..." She ran to catch up with the others, and made it to the house with them. "There's no one here... You're sure that the sound came from here?" She asked, looking around. She motioned to the door, making sure it was okay to open it. "Maybe they're inside..."

"I'm sur-" Brooklyn tried to state before a blast of fire came from no-where and Mac had to guard with Misty. "Misty, are you OK?" Mac asked, her appearance showed in the reflection of the weapon, she nodded. "Brooklyn looked for the source of the shot, but was fired on again...

May managed to duck out of the way of the blast. "What was that?" She whimpered. The second blast fired. "B-Brooklyn... I'm going into my Weapon form. We don't have time to see if we can resonate... We need to be ready to fight." She warned, and transformed into a katana. I really hope this works... I heard that if a Weapon and a Meister can't resonate, then it can lead to some serious problems... She thought to herself.

"I'll have to make it work!" Brooklyn yelled, grabbing May in her katana form, another shot had been fired, but Brooklyn avoided it and rushed at the source of the shot, whatever it was wasn't visible to them, but was there. "A witch using an extremely strong form of Soul Protect... That's the only thing that I can think of that can do this!" Brooklyn thought, stopping for a moment. It grew quiet, he stood normal, and looked as though he had let his guard down. A moment later, fire shot out, and Brooklyn dashed to the direction of the shot and lunged into the air with a swipe of May, it hit, the witch fell down to the ground, knocked out. "One hit..." he muttered, looking at the witch they knocked out. She was clad in purple, wearing a short dress. Her hat was an orange beanie, though. She rode on a vacuum cleaner. "Odd lady..." Brooklyn muttered. "I've heard of witches with the ability to use Soul Protect and their magic, but never have I heard of them be able to completely hide their soul and their body as well as use magic..." He said, walking over to her, Brooklyn stabbed her in the chest and killed her, it was definitely a Witches Soul. "I think we're done here." Brooklyn said, Mac grabbing the Soul, they started to walk back home, when Brooklyn noticed something. "I just noticed... It's not hurting me to hold you in weapon form, May. It's not harming you, is it?" he asked.

May sighed in relief. Looks like we managed to take the witch down without getting hurt... She heard Brooklyn's question. "Now that you mention it, no... I feel perfectly fine. Does that mean that we're able to resonate...?" She asked, amazed she'd managed to find someone who she could resonate with. She thought it would take a while to find someone... She didn't even know if she ever would.

"I could only say yes, if that's the case." Brooklyn said as they neared the home when another fireball hit the two out of no-where, but this time, the "Fire" Didn't give off heat, it gave off a large amount of a freezing feeling. The blow struck Misty, who took the hit for Brooklyn and May. Mac rushed and grabbed his sister off the ground and made a mad-dash for the house, but was hit as well...

(I was half expecting Misty to get jealous of May...)

"What? We killed the witch, though!" May was shocked by the sudden blast. She would have looked around for the source, but she was still in her katana form. "Does that mean... There's another witch somewhere?" She remembered that Mac and Misty were down. "We have to protect them, too..." She told Brooklyn, her reflection in the katana showing a determined look.

(Oho, there is more to be seen...)

"Yeah, I thought so, too, but we need to get Misty and Mac home first, then grab reinforcements." Brooklyn stated, running to the frozen figures of Misty and Mac, and grabbing them, more ice-shots were fired at him and May, but they were able to avoid them until they made it back to the house, getting Mac and Misty inside, Brooklyn ran back outside. "May, any ideas on how to kill this one?"

"Well, we'll have to try to figure out where the shots are coming from again..." May tried to think of anything else. This one seemed a lot more dangerous than the last witch. "Of course, we don't want to be left open to the witch's attacks... We might want to find out more about the witch's offensive capabilities. How often the spells are fired, how long it takes to create a new one..." She began to list off a few factors. "Aside from that, there's nothing I can come up with right now... Sorry." She apologized, not sure if she was being helpful or not.

"If we were in a better position, I would agree, but..." Another shot fired, one from behind, then almost instantly from the front as well, the second shot grazed his leg, freezing it a little. "We don't have a good enough position..." He said, looking around. "I wouldn't dare try this with you yet, but we're facing some kind of witch... It may be the only way we can beat it." Brooklyn said, gripping the handle of May tightly. "We're gonna try resonating our soul's to increase our strength beyond what we have normally, it will hurt since we're not adjusted to each-other yet, but it might be our best shot. Are you OK with this?"

May thought for a moment. "Yeah... It's our only choice. If we lose, then the others will be in danger. Let's do it." May's determined look was still apparent in her reflection. She tried to resonate her soul wavelengths with Brooklyn's.

Brooklyn let his wavelength go- the resonation level was low, but it was there. Brooklyn felt pain creep all over his body as the resonance started doing it's thing, and surprisingly, May's blade grew in length in response to the resonation, and grew quite a bit, but it hurt, it hurt a lot. "Let's go, Soul Resonance!" He yelled, their powers already boosting. The pain was unbeliveable, he felt like he was being shot full of thunder, but he ignored it. "I can see the witch now!" Brooklyn thought, jumping above the area on the next shot and evading the attack, he landed on the roof and sprung forward, then lanced her in the chest. Her body shattered and only her soul remained afterward.

May felt like her whole body was burning. Her vision was fading. However, she kept her soul wavelength stable until Brooklyn killed the witch. After she could see the witch's soul, she reverted to her human form. However, the pain caused her to fall over. "We did it... The witch is dead." She sighed in relief. For her first battle, she felt like she'd done well. The pain began to fade, eventually.

"Ye-Yeah... Good job..." Brooklyn said, then falling over. He had taken too much damage from the use of the Soul Resonance, since his soul was the one that had to really tweak to work right in the situation... But even still, May had been drained incredibly as well, and she passed out.

Later...

Brooklyn woke up in home base, it was mid-day. "What happened?" He thinks, climbing down from the bunk bed he slept in, underneath his new Weapon Partner slept soundly...

May woke up, finding herself in the base. She noticed that Brooklyn was there, too. "How did we get back here...?" She asked, getting up out of the bed. "I only remember taking down that witch... Are Misty and Mac safe?" She asked, hoping the others had managed to help them recover.

"I know about as much as you do..." Brooklyn muttered, running out into the front room, Misty jumped up at him the instant he did and gave him a kiss. "Honey, I'm glad you're OK, too, but we should kinda keep it professional here, I think..." Brooklyn whispered to Misty after she finished the kiss, but she hardly cared, and kissed him again, Mac only gave off a menacing cough and she stopped. "That's better." Mac muttered in annoyance.

"Yeah, no more witches." A dark-skinned man stood up, he was wearing some light armor. "You two also missed the entrance exam, and all of us were failed for no reason.", he contenued. Mac spoke up. "They said that because you two killed those witches, as well as possibly absorbed them, they consider you and anyone related to you dangerous. We were attacked by the DWMA students, they used team resonances and had been more properly trained than us, but we defeated then because they weren't anywhere near as well versed in combat to us, even that zombie guy Cid wasn't hard with our numbers, and by then we escaped." Mac explained. "But now we're fugitives." He added.

"We can't do much, maybe besides talking with Lord Death himself, but getting to him would be ha-" Mac was interrupted by a young, tall, pale man with white lines in his hear and wearing a formal-looking suit bursting through their door.

"May!" Brooklyn yelled, reaching for May's arm so that when she transformed he would already have a grip on her, but the man simply said "I'm not your enemy, unless you think you can kill a Shinigami who's here to help you!" he said.
