The Guardians: Rise Of The Vampires ( Open RP )

Posted

Minutes of Clan Moon, All Hallow's, 1779

It has begun: with the master of shadows gone, we shall rule the night once more.

Un shackled.... free.

1. Jack ( present day )

Jack flew low over the still sleeping town below, the snow softly covering grass and concrete as a winter storm moved in.

The winds were icy, the promise of a snow day in the air.

He drifted lazily on his back ,watching the clouds, a few bats swooping past him.

" hey!" He cried, slapping at his neck; his fingers came away red, which iced over instantly.

He didn't worry about it: he'd suffered worse than a bug bite since Pitch's defeat the year before.

Grinning, he soared higher, almost touching the clouds, never seeing the dark figure watching from the ground, crimson eyes aglow as they traced his assent through the skies.

Jack was resting, high in a oak tree dusted with snow, his thoughts twisted as nightmares of faceless men and arcane rituals ran through his dreams.

The man came close, attracted by the smell of blood.

Jack absently scratched the bite, breaking free the scabs, allowing twin drops of crimson to fall, splashing onto the snow around the tree.

The man laughed, whispered, and left.

Jack heard a voice in his dreams, as he fell through icy water tinged a deep red:

" soon..."

Suddenly a bat came flying above Jack's head. The bat was an odd color of dark blue with golden eyes. The bat watched Jack, knowing something that he didn't. There was much to learn.

Jack slept on, unknowing....

not sensing the change occuring within.....

The bat flew down on top of Jack's face. The bat smelled of the same dry blood smell as the figure from earlier, but also had the smell of something that was difficult to make out. The bat tried to take out its sharp as knifes teeth and dig then deep into Jack's neck.

Jack awoke, swatting at the bat with one hand, the thin branch breaking beneath his movements.

" Ahhh!" He yelped, as he fell through the branches heavily, landing hard on the balls of his feet on the snowy ground.

The bat tried to flee, but Jack, in his anger, froze it solid with a simple swish of his staff,

the immobile creature thwacking to the ground a few feet away.

Jack kicked it, then walked on, red trailing onto the snow behind him to freeze instantly into frost.

The bat quickly unfroze and flew in front of Jack. "Jack Frost, we need to talk. You are in serious danger. More danger then you know." the bat said.

" What...? "

Jack had seen a lot of weird things in his time: Tooth fairies, Dreamsand, portal creating snowglobes...

talking bats took the cake.

" What.."

The bat spoke, and he listened.

The bat then turned into a man that looked like: http://c.wrzuta.pl/wi19580/58c0984e0014c084492ae425/0/anime%252520boy%25255E%25255E (with two dry blood colored wings)

The man looked at Jack. "My order, the order of the vampires, are losing control of themselves. They are hungry for power, and will stop at nothing to take down every last one of you guardians. And the worst part is, the boss of them, James Darkness, is controlling them into wanting to attack against their will. If the boss finds out where you are, he will kill you, no questions asked." the man said.

Jack heard every word, but he didn't understand their meaning: vampires? clans?

" Why? We protect children; what danger do we pose to vampires?"

( OFF TOPIC: I'm loving that pic. )

The man looked at Jack. "You really don't understand anything, do you? Vampires are not a very friendly group. They pray on the weak humans and do as they please. But with you all making nightmares less and less, you cast vampires aside, making less people to be able to pray on, leaving light in more people's hearts, and the vampires can only drink the blood of those of less light and more fear and anger." The man said.

" But... nightmares destroy humanity! What blood will they have if everyone's..."

He trailed off, as he felt his neck.

" What... blood..."

His eyes fluttered, and Jack fell to the snow.

Jace walked along the black top, drawing patterns with his toe.

Unlike Jack, Jace couldn't control the winds or snow, only the frosts and dews.

His flight was aided by large wings of dark blue, folded tight along his spine.

He was in a parking lot around midnight, when he felt it:

someone had....

His eyes fluttered, and he fell to the ground, frost forming around his body.

The man laughed hard as Jack had passed out. "Good, very good pet. Fall before my might! The powerful and deadly James Darkness!!!!!" The man said as he then lifted Jack's body up and dig his sharp teeth into Jack's neck trying to drain all of his blood.

Suddenly at where Jace was, a teenage boy appeared that looked of: http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2013/179/5/f/8_by_bloody_rose2-d6b5lag.jpg

The guy was worried about Jace and splashed some water on Jace. "Hey, wake up." The guy said.

Jack was going.... faint headed.... he felt like it had been in the pond so many years ago....

except the moon wasn't going to save him this time.

" Glugh!" Jace cried, sitting up.

He saw the boy, and leapt to his feet, wings shooting out.

" Hey! wait! " The guy cried.

Jace looked back: " What?"

He snapped, hovering twenty feet above the concrete.

Suddenly, James stopped biting Jack and kick the boy to the ground. "You are lucky, Jack. I would kill you right here and now, but I still need you. You will become the one to bring back the nightmares." James said. He then noticed that Jack now had a dry blood red streak in Jack's hair. James smiled darkly and teleported away, leaving Jack alone on the floor.

The guy looked at Jace. "You just passed out, like something hit you. Who are you? And why can you fly?" the guy asked.

He was cold... so cold..

He rolled over to look at the moon, which stared at him blankly.

A beam shone on him, and he was lifted, then lowered back gently to fall into the whitness in a dream less doze.

" I'm Jace Ice: who the Hell are you, and what's it to you if I can spit in different colours? "

Sarcasm wasn't pretty, but Jace weilded it like a two edged sword.

The guy looked at Jace. "Hey, I was only worried about you. You fainted, and I was nearby so I was worried about you when I saw you. And I am Zack, Zack Darkness. I am a loner of sorts, but if I see someone in trouble, I help them no matter what. And I just haven't seen any magical beings, other than my kind." Zack said.

" oh..."

Feeling foolish, Jace lowered to the ground, and smirked, hand on his hip.

" Name's Jace, like i said. I'm kinda... well... er..."

What to say?  "Oh, yeah: i was a hitchhiker back in the 60's some trucker tried to rob, then left in a ditch to freeze to death before some crazy light from the moon made all THIS?"

Yup: that'd so work out badly.

" i'm kinda a big deal."

Dumbass, he thought.

Zack looked at him. "Then why have I never heard of you? I at least heard legends of people like Jack Frost, even though I have never seen them. But never once have I heard of you." Zack said.

  • Author

" Well... i'm more of a minor spirit. I only really control the frosts."

Jace was touchy on that subject: everyone knew of Jack, but he was nothing.

Didn't even have a damn staff.

Zack smiled. "So in a way you are an outcast compared to Jack. Well, thats great, cause I am an outcast of my tribe. I really have left my home, and I am never going back." Zack said. He then smelled the sweet, savory smell of blood. "That smell, that sweet smile, where is that coming from?" Zack said aloud looking around.

  • Author

" Smell....?"

Jace started to back away, visions of Dracula mixed with Edward Cullen in a nightmarish thing flashing through his mind.

Zack nodded. "Yeah, that sweet smell. It's coming from over here. Follow me." Zack said as he took the two of them to where Jack was. Zack looked at Jack Frost. "That boy, he was attacked, by one of the tribe members. He needs help." Zack said rushing over to Jack.

Jace stared: " What... who?"

He rushed forward to help, but a sharp pain made him clutch his head.

" Ahh... what's... going on...?"

Zack looked at Jace. "Hey, are you okay? You look off." Zack said wondering about Jace. Zack then took out his sharp teeth and dug them into Jack's neck.
