(I swear, this is my fourth Naruto roleplay... Anyway, here we go!)

 

The tale of the Fourth Great Ninja War is one of the most well-known in the shinobi world: Ending in a victory for the Allied Shinobi Force, it allowed for mutual respect and peace between the five great nations of the land. After the war, Naruto Uzumaki, a young jinchuriki who greatly influenced the outcome of the war, was elected as Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village. Since then, the ninja from the war have settled into a much more peaceful lifestyle. Now, in the next generation of the village, the peace is being threatened by a new group. Can the next generation have the same success as the previous one?

Name: Koukon Yougan

 

Age: 13

 

Appearance: Koukon wears a standard Konoha headband across his forehead. He has medium length black hair, which partially obscures his headband. He commonly wears a red hoodie and blue shorts.

 

Gender: Male

 

Personality: Koukon is a bit of a class clown, constantly making jokes and teasing his friends. He's actually very determined to do his best, and will rarely back down from a situation. He's friendly towards those who he gets to know, and can be jokingly sarcastic towards friends at times. He's also got a soft spot for girls...

 

Bio/Family Heritage: Koukon is the heir to the Yougan clan, a prestigious clan known for its expertise with fire style jutsu. The clan was known to even rival the Uchiha in this field. Koukon was expected to be one of the greatest clan members in years, and went through quite a bit of harsh training to get to this point. However, he never got down about it, and always looked on the bright side: Impressing the ladies with his talent. He was also close friends with the Hokage's daughter growing up, along with being rivals with Kinatama Mottoyoi. He graduated from the academy at the top of the class, despite being a clown most of the time.

Appearance: Yumi has long red hair, a trademark of the Uzumaki clan. When she's on a mission, or training with her students, she typically wears the standard Leaf shinobi uniform, with the Konoha headband on her forehead. Otherwise, she usually wears an orange t-shirt and blue jeans.

 

Gender: Female

 

Personality: Around her students, or when in a mission, Yumi is typically serious, and acts encouraging towards her teammates. She can often be quieter in battles, due to focusing on analyzing her opponents moves. However, when with her friends, she's more laid back and carefree. This sometimes leaks out around her team, although it doesn't bother her too much when this happens.

 

Bio/Family Heritage: Yumi is a member of the Uzumaki clan, which has become a much smaller clan since the destruction of the Land of Eddies. She was born after her mother, Karin, retired from her position as a shinobi due to guilt for helping rogue ninja. Yumi decided to take on her mother's legacy as a shinobi, and trained hard in order to fill the gap her mother left. She graduated from the Academy at the age of 8, and became a Chunin at the age of 10. She became a Jonin at the young age of 13. She spent the next 4 years as a Jonin, managing to become equal with the likes of shinobi decades older than her. Yumi has an incredible talent for analysis, rivaling even Shikamaru Nara's ability. She is also well-trained in Genjutsu and Ninjutsu, as well as being proficient in Taijutsu. She is often compared to prodigies such as Kakashi Hatake and Itachi Uchiha, and many believe that she has the potential to become the Seventh Hokage.

Yumi led the group to a small stand in the village. "I'll take two, please." She asked the man inside, handing him some ryo. The man turned to the back, and handed Yumi two Popsicles (The kind that Jiraiya gave to Naruto, that you could split apart and stuff). "Here, you guys all get one." She split off one, and handed it too Itachi. She handed the other Popsicle to Koukon, who split it and offered the other part to Kinatama. "Congratulations, Team Yumi." She smiled at the three genin. "Let's do our best on tomorrow's mission!"

Itachi took the ice cream and starting eating. He looked at Koukon. "Sorry for punching you earlier." He quickly looked away.

Koukon grinned. "Yeah, it's fine... I mean, it was an accident anyway, right? Sorry for being such a jerk to you all the time..." He held his hand out to Itachi to shake.

Itachi looked at Koukon and hesistantly grabbed his hand and shook it. "It's ok.....I guess i should lighten up a bit." He looked away. "I'm still gonna be the strongest in the village though."

"Heh... Not if I get there first." Koukon joked. "Hey, Kinatama. You going to get in this, too?" He asked, looking towards his best friend.

"Don't worry your pretty little head, string bean, because I'm going to beat BOTH of you for that title, Heh heh!" Kinatama said, sticking the ice cream in his mouth so he could use both of his arms and hands; he then wrapped one of his arms around Koukon's neck and noogied the top of his head with the other.

Koukon shut his eyes. "Agh, stop!" He almost dropped his popsicle.

 

Yumi laughed. Looks like I got a good team after all. Hey, that reminds me... "Hey, you three I just remembered something else that we forgot to do. Follow me, feel free to eat your ice cream along the way." She smiled at the three, then began to walk again.

Itachi followed Yumi. I'm gonna be the strongest, just you 2 watch.

Kinatama let go of Koukon upon hearing Yumi's command. He bit off the rest of his ice cream in one swallow, deciding to power walk the calories off, and after giving Koukon a hard pat on the back to both encourage him to follow him, and just to further mess with him, Kinatama followed Yumi.

"You'll see." Yumi kept walking. The team eventually reached a photo booth. "We're going to take a picture to commemorate, today." She smiled at the genin. The four took a picture, then returned to their homes...

 

 

 

The next day, Team Yumi reported to the Hokage Mansion, ready to receive their first mission. "Hm... There are quite a few mission requests today..." Naruto Uzumaki, the Sixth Hokage, sifted through a few files. "Let's see... escort missions, deliveries..." He kept looking through the missions, with Sakura supervising as well.

 

"Be sure to give us something good! I don't want my first mission to be easy!" Koukon boasted, trying to show that he was strong.

 

Sakura and Naruto looked at each other, and laughed. Yumi noticed their laughter. I heard that Naruto said the same thing for his first mission... It makes sense that they'd find this so funny.

Again, we're NINJA, so we should be doing NINJA missions! Dangerous missions that involve putting our lives on the line for the sake of others and the Hidden Leaf Village as a whole!" Kinatama agreed, punching his fist into his hand to further escalate his enthusiam.

"You sure they can handle it...? I mean, two of them were at the top of the class, but still..." Sakura said, angering Koukon due to him not being acknowledged.

 

"Of course they can! After all, one's your son. You should know his strength." Naruto smiled. "I just wish my daughter would have been so interested in taking on a tougher mission..." The Hokage sighed, and pulled out a file. "Here, this one should do!" He handed the file to Yumi, who read over it. "There's a ninja somewhere along the border of the Lands of Fire and Wind who has been causing some mischief. It is believed that he's a rogue ninja, but not a very powerful one. He shouldn't be too much for three genin and a jonin to handle!"

 

"Right. Thank you, Lord Hokage." Yumi nodded, handed the file back to Naruto, and looked back to her team. "Alright then, let's go!" She made her way towards the room's exit.

 

"Alright! It sounds like we're gonna get some action, finally!" Koukon grinned, excited to prove his skills finally. He followed Yumi outside.

"Rouge ninja, huh? Sounds intriguing. I could use a punching bag to test out my new jutsus on," Kinatama boasted, following Koukon and Yumi whiling cracking his knuckles.

Koukon nodded. "I haven't gotten too deep into the forest, but I've trained around here often." He answered. "Besides, I'm sure I could easily figure out my way around here. Memorizing my surroundings is just one of my many talents." He boasted, trying to look cool. Yumi laughed in response.

After walking for a while, the team came across a couple travelers who were collapsed on the ground. Yumi ran over to the two. "Are you okay? What happened?" She asked.

 

"There was a shinobi who came up to us... He attacked us and stole our belongings..." One managed to say.

 

"We didn't stand a chance..." The other coughed.

 

Yumi helped them lean against a couple trees. "Could you tell us what he looked like? Or where he went?" Yumi asked the two.

I have a feeling we're getting close," He told Yumi, scrounging from the bits of information he could actually pick up.

Yumi nodded. "Yeah... We're very close..." She stopped for a moment, and looked around. "Over there..." She tossed a kunai towards a tree, and a masked man jumped out from behind it.

 

"Hm... Looks like I've been spotted." He muttered. "Leaf ninja, eh? Well... This shouldn't be too tough." He laughed, and unsheathed a fairly long sword. "Hm... Which one should go first?" His mask prevented the team from seeing his face, but it was obvious he was scanning everyone.

Itach landed on the ground along with the others. "So, you're the rogue ninja." He quickly got out his kunai. "Hope you don't make this too easy for us." He said with a grin.

"Prepare for the sickest beatdown that the Hidden Leaf Village can bring, pally!" Kinatama said, cracking his fingers. "Ossu!" He then cried out, stomping the ground below him as he settled into his clan's Taijutsu stance: body angled to the side, knees bent, left arm curled next to his chest, fist closed, and right arm outstretched and bent at the elbow, forearm facing the masked man directly.

The rogue ninja laughed again. "You truly think you can take me on? Well then..." He ran towards Kinatama. "Let's see if you're as tough as you like to act!" He shouted, and slashed at the genin's stomach.
