(I swear, this is my fourth Naruto roleplay... Anyway, here we go!)

 

The tale of the Fourth Great Ninja War is one of the most well-known in the shinobi world: Ending in a victory for the Allied Shinobi Force, it allowed for mutual respect and peace between the five great nations of the land. After the war, Naruto Uzumaki, a young jinchuriki who greatly influenced the outcome of the war, was elected as Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village. Since then, the ninja from the war have settled into a much more peaceful lifestyle. Now, in the next generation of the village, the peace is being threatened by a new group. Can the next generation have the same success as the previous one?

 

My character:

 

 

Name: Koukon Yougan

 

Age: 13

 

Appearance: Koukon wears a standard Konoha headband across his forehead. He has medium length black hair, which partially obscures his headband. He commonly wears a red hoodie and blue shorts.

 

Gender: Male

 

Personality: Koukon is a bit of a class clown, constantly making jokes and teasing his friends. He's actually very determined to do his best, and will rarely back down from a situation. He's friendly towards those who he gets to know, and can be jokingly sarcastic towards friends at times. He's also got a soft spot for girls...

 

Bio/Family Heritage: Koukon is the heir to the Yougan clan, a prestigious clan known for its expertise with fire style jutsu. The clan was known to even rival the Uchiha in this field. Koukon was expected to be one of the greatest clan members in years, and went through quite a bit of harsh training to get to this point. However, he never got down about it, and always looked on the bright side: Impressing the ladies with his talent. He was also close friends with the Hokage's daughter growing up, along with being rivals with Kinatama Mottoyoi. He graduated from the academy at the top of the class, despite being a clown most of the time.

Appearance: Yumi has long red hair, a trademark of the Uzumaki clan. When she's on a mission, or training with her students, she typically wears the standard Leaf shinobi uniform, with the Konoha headband on her forehead. Otherwise, she usually wears an orange t-shirt and blue jeans.

 

Gender: Female

 

Personality: Around her students, or when in a mission, Yumi is typically serious, and acts encouraging towards her teammates. She can often be quieter in battles, due to focusing on analyzing her opponents moves. However, when with her friends, she's more laid back and carefree. This sometimes leaks out around her team, although it doesn't bother her too much when this happens.

 

Bio/Family Heritage: Yumi is a member of the Uzumaki clan, which has become a much smaller clan since the destruction of the Land of Eddies. She was born after her mother, Karin, retired from her position as a shinobi due to guilt for helping rogue ninja. Yumi decided to take on her mother's legacy as a shinobi, and trained hard in order to fill the gap her mother left. She graduated from the Academy at the age of 8, and became a Chunin at the age of 10. She became a Jonin at the young age of 13. She spent the next 4 years as a Jonin, managing to become equal with the likes of shinobi decades older than her. Yumi has an incredible talent for analysis, rivaling even Shikamaru Nara's ability. She is also well-trained in Genjutsu and Ninjutsu, as well as being proficient in Taijutsu. She is often compared to prodigies such as Kakashi Hatake and Itachi Uchiha, and many believe that she has the potential to become the Seventh Hokage.

"A sparring match, you say? It wouldn't be bad to teach you not to underestimate me... You're on." Koukon smirked back, excited that he could pound his annoying new teammate.

(Ok, i'm guessing that we're not gonna use kunai or shurikens or any ninjutsu(not that we know any) since this is a sparring match.)

 

Itachi rushed towards Koukon and quickly punched him in the chest and did a leg sweep to knock him off his feet. He then took this time to grab his arm and quickly throw Koukon over his shoulder behind him. "Is that all you've got? I hope you can put up more of a fight than that."

(Dat not giving me a chance to block or anything like that ._.) Koukon grinned. "Heh, I'm just getting started..." Koukon got up, and ran towards Itachi, kicking him in the stomach. He then punched Itachi in the jaw to follow up. "How's that for putting up a fight??" He asked, smirking.

Itachi took the blows but was only forced back a little and got back into offensive position. "Huh, you're strong, but it'll take more to beat me." He ran towards Koukon and jumped above him, doing a spinning kick while going overhead to knock Koukon back down. He then walked a few feet away from him and got back into defensive position.

"... really? They just ignored me and decided to fight?" Kinatama said with a blank expression. "Dammit, why does everybody love pissing me off today?! Grr!" Kinatama said, starting to get very agitated again. He blew air through his nose and snorted out his frustration. "Ah, whatever. I wanna see what that jackass has in store anyway. I haven't seen Koukon fight in a while either. And even better--" Kinatama said to himself, as he got on his hands and knees, "I can do a couple of sets while I watch." Kinatama then proceeded to do one handed push ups on the ground while his eyes were locked on to his teammates sparring, analyzing their movements with surprisingly keen eyes.

(Sorry, but im trying to show Koukon that Itachi is not a force to be reckoned with. )

Koukon noticed the girl who just arrived. He looked over to Kinatama. "She's kinda hot... You think she's impressed by my performance, Kinatama?" He asked.

"Heh, how about this then? Koukon charged towards Itachi, preparing a punch. Just as his fist was about to connect, he jumped behind Itachi, forming a Tiger hand seal. "Time to test out the jutsu old man Naruto taught me! Secret Finger Jutsu: One Thousand Years of Death!" He shoved his fingers up Itachi's rear end. Just at that moment, a teenage girl approached the group, just in time to see Koukon's jutsu in action.

 

"Uh... I... Think I'm in the wrong place." She muttered, her eyes going wide. She had long red hair, and was wearing a standard Leaf village shinobi uniform.

 

Koukon noticed the girl who just arrived. He looked over to Kinatama. "She's kinda hot... You think she's impressed by my performance, Kinatama?" He asked.

Itachi looked behind and his eyes widened in shock. He had a split second to react, so he quickly got down on his knees and kicked Koukon's stomach, sending him flying backwards and landing in front of the new girl who arrived. "Huh, you resorted to a joke technique like that. Pfft, your just as bad as i thought. At least your decent in combat. Can't say the same for your friend yet though." He saw the girl who arrived here. "So, who are you? Are you our new sensei?"

Kinatama immediately ceased his push ups as soon as he saw Koukon try to use the Secret Finger Jutsu. "Well, that's... different," He commented. After he did, a red-haired woman with a standard Leaf ninja outfit on appeared and commented on the Finger Jutsu as well. "No, m'aam you're in the right place, and don't mind the other two for now," Kinatama added as he hopped onto his feet and put himself right in front of the woman, blocking her view of Itachi and making her not notice Koukon at her feet. "My name's Mottoyoi. Kinatama Mottoyoi. I'm guessing you're our sensei," Kinatama held out a hand to shake,"I'm co-leader of this cell," he added with a grin.

Kinatama said, puffing his chest out and pointing a thumb at his chin. "I'm from the illustrious Mottoyoi Clan, the best damned clan in this entire village right now. Taijutsu, Ninjutsu, and even Genjutsu, you name it! The Mottoyoi Clan is the best at all of them and we always pack a real hard punch when we do so!" Kinatama quickly spun around and pointed at the clan symbol on his jacket. "Hustle, Loyalty, Respect, Honor, Hard Work, Guts, Blood, Sweat, Tears, and all the rest! That's what this symbol, and what my very clan stands for!!" Kinatama finished, not even breaking a sweat or losing his breath. "So then, Yumi-sensei, impressed? I bet you are," Kinatama said, winking to his sensei and crossing his arms. "After all, you being a member of the Uzumaki Clan, a great clan in its own right I might add, has to recognize the greatness that is me, right? Heh."

Yumi laughed again. Well... I can kind of imagine why Sakura assigned me to this squad. She thought to herself, studying the three again.

"Hm... Best clan, you say? I'm not sure about the best, but I've certainly heard quite a bit about the Mottoyoi clan. Your student records were impressive, too. Looks like you and Itachi were both towards the top of your class." She smiled at the young shinobi.

 

"And me?" Koukon boasted. "I'm from the Yougan clan, one of the most skilled Ninjutsu-based clans in the village! I've been training as hard as I can my whole life, and I'll be the best Yougan to have ever lived. Heck, I'll even be one of the best shinobi in the village, if not the best!" Koukon tried to impress his sensei, seemingly confident in what he said.

 

"Actually... While your records were impressive, you were behind the other two." Yumi informed Koukon, who looked a bit shocked at the news. "These two and Hikari Uzumaki apparently had the best overall grades in the Academy... You were close to the top, but not up there with them." She tried to give her student a reassuring smile.

 

"There must have been a mistake or something, I never screwed up in the Academy!" Koukon seemed disheartened.

 

An anime sweat drop appeared next to Itachi's head and he sighed. "Your just as bad as Koukon." He then turned to their new sensei. "Sorry about them, they get all excited and weird around people of your......appearence."

Yumi smiled, and put her arms behind her head. "Heh... It's fine. I suppose it comes with being a kunoichi." She stated, sounding a bit more carefree than she'd let on earlier. Of course, she was still a teenager, and wasn't as mature as many of the other jonin.

KInatama hid his displeasure at his sensei not being as impressed as he'd thought he be. At least she didn't piss me off. No, in fact, I like her. She seems nice. And eventually, like the others, she'll know how good I am. That is... if I can even keep her safe... ah, no, snap out of it, Kinatama, look sharp. Kinatama's shoulders had slumped and his face grew dark and sad as that last thought about keeping Yumi safe popped into his brain. By the time he told himself to "look sharp", he had straightened out, his posture reset to its original standing.

 

"Really? Best in class, huh?" Kinatama said, loosening up. "Heh. I'm not surprised at all," he added boastingly. In truth, Kinatama was not one to pay attention to his grades as an Academy student. Not that he needed to obviously, but still, he did not seem to care. He went with the opposition that grades were not important in the ninja world. After all, the man who he called Lord Hokage, the strongest ninja in the world, was a total dumbbell in the Academy; he failed the Graduation three times even. And yet, he's the one holding the hat. Kinatama wanted to be that man someday, and he didn't care whether hell, high-water or grade point average; it was going to be his.

 

Kinatama stopped his mental tirade to look at his now saddened teammate of the Yougan Clan. Poor string bean, though. I mean, I'm one to always mess with him -- actually I do that to everyone -- but I think he's really a great ninja... he knows that right? He doesn't think I'm a jerk or anything for it right? I mean, what if--ah, stop it! You're doing it again! Look sharp, I said! Kinatama snapped out of it once more.

Yumi took notice of Kinatama's strange behavior. For someone who seems so proud of himself, he seems like he has a tendency to get upset sometimes... I probably shouldn't ask him about that right now, though. She thought to herself, keeping her usual expression while thinking. She also noticed Koukon, who seemed upset. "Don't worry, Koukon. You were still towards the top of the class, even if you weren't in the top 3." She tried to lift his spirits. "Besides, I'm sure you've still got what it takes to be a great shinobi!"

 

"Really?" Koukon's head shot back up, and he was as energetic as usual. "Heh, of course I do! I can prove it, too!" He boasted, now back to his usual self.

 

"Good." Yumi looked at her three students. "In fact, let's get ready to test that now, shall we? Of course, I'd still like to get to know you all better, first... Let's introduce ourselves, okay? I'll go first: I'm Yumi Uzumaki, as I said earlier. I'm a jonin, and I enjoy kicking back and relaxing after a mission. Oh, and my favorite place to eat is the barbecue place here in the village!" She told the others a little bit about herself. "Now then, what about you three?"

Kinatama cracked his neck in response and began first: "Mottoyoi. Kinatama Mottoyoi, future Hokage of the Village Hidden In the Leaves. I like training, working out, and getting stronger. Also, I don't mind stopping to hang out with friends once in a while and eating a nice bowl of ramen. My goal in the world is to become the best in the world and become Hokage of this village, because I want to the be the guy who keeps everybody safe," he said, keeping his slips in check this time, though the unusual stoicness in his demeanor and tone still hid some kind of secret within his words.

I want you three to retrieve this scroll from me by night time, got it?" She asked, tucking it into a pouch on her left leg. "You'll need to take this seriously, as though I'm an actual enemy. If you don't learn to get serious now, you might not be ready in a real emergency. Now then... Are you ready?" She asked.

"Hmph. If you say so. At least you're taking this seriously." He got into a fighting stance. "So, do you guys have any ninjutsu up your sleeves?"

Koukon glared at Itachi again. "Of course I have a ninjutsu I can use! We're genin, we've got to have at least some sort of special jutsu, right?" Koukon shouted.

"Yeah, what he said. After all, we're all members of clans that specialize in some kind of chakra affinity. The Mottoyoi Clan has Earth Style, and both you and String Bean have Fire Style under your belt," Kinatama said. "Also, both me and Koukon can use Wind Style as well. What about you, Itachi? Got a second affinity? I figured the 'great Second Coming' would have one."

Itachi scoffed at the nickname. "Second coming.......Hmm, that sounds like a good name." He smirked a bit. "My second affinity would be Lightning, as you probably guessed. I can use the Chidori. Also, i can infuse Chakra into my fists and legs for monsterous results, like my mother."

Yumi watched as the three all talked among each other. "Hm... Looks like you're all ready, then."

 

"Of course we are! I'm not gonna go easy on you either, Yumi-sensei!" Koukon pulled out a kunai, preparing to fight.

 

"Good. In that cast... Ready... Set... Go!" Yumi disappeared at the last word.

 

"Where'd she go..." Koukon looked around, confused.

 

"Right here." Yumi appeared next to Koukon, forming a few handseals. Koukon suddenly lost all focus on the battle and began muttering, seemingly caught in an illusion. "Hm... That was easier than expected." She muttered. "Now then... it's your turns, now." She looked at the other two, and pulled out a kunai. I just need to find out their weaknesses... Koukon's was easy to notice, and I think I've got it down for the others as well...

Kinatama quickly put a hand on Koukon's shoulder to shatter the illusion. "Not bad, Yumi Sensei. But you'll have to do better than one someone like me!" Kinatama yelled as he charged straight into her, and jumped into the air to slam a Superman punch into her face.
