(I swear, this is my fourth Naruto roleplay... Anyway, here we go!)

 

The tale of the Fourth Great Ninja War is one of the most well-known in the shinobi world: Ending in a victory for the Allied Shinobi Force, it allowed for mutual respect and peace between the five great nations of the land. After the war, Naruto Uzumaki, a young jinchuriki who greatly influenced the outcome of the war, was elected as Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village. Since then, the ninja from the war have settled into a much more peaceful lifestyle. Now, in the next generation of the village, the peace is being threatened by a new group. Can the next generation have the same success as the previous one?

Name: Koukon Yougan

 

Age: 13

 

Appearance: Koukon wears a standard Konoha headband across his forehead. He has medium length black hair, which partially obscures his headband. He commonly wears a red hoodie and blue shorts.

 

Gender: Male

 

Personality: Koukon is a bit of a class clown, constantly making jokes and teasing his friends. He's actually very determined to do his best, and will rarely back down from a situation. He's friendly towards those who he gets to know, and can be jokingly sarcastic towards friends at times. He's also got a soft spot for girls...

 

Bio/Family Heritage: Koukon is the heir to the Yougan clan, a prestigious clan known for its expertise with fire style jutsu. The clan was known to even rival the Uchiha in this field. Koukon was expected to be one of the greatest clan members in years, and went through quite a bit of harsh training to get to this point. However, he never got down about it, and always looked on the bright side: Impressing the ladies with his talent. He was also close friends with the Hokage's daughter growing up, along with being rivals with Kinatama Mottoyoi. He graduated from the academy at the top of the class, despite being a clown most of the time.

Appearance: Yumi has long red hair, a trademark of the Uzumaki clan. When she's on a mission, or training with her students, she typically wears the standard Leaf shinobi uniform, with the Konoha headband on her forehead. Otherwise, she usually wears an orange t-shirt and blue jeans.

 

Gender: Female

 

Personality: Around her students, or when in a mission, Yumi is typically serious, and acts encouraging towards her teammates. She can often be quieter in battles, due to focusing on analyzing her opponents moves. However, when with her friends, she's more laid back and carefree. This sometimes leaks out around her team, although it doesn't bother her too much when this happens.

 

Bio/Family Heritage: Yumi is a member of the Uzumaki clan, which has become a much smaller clan since the destruction of the Land of Eddies. She was born after her mother, Karin, retired from her position as a shinobi due to guilt for helping rogue ninja. Yumi decided to take on her mother's legacy as a shinobi, and trained hard in order to fill the gap her mother left. She graduated from the Academy at the age of 8, and became a Chunin at the age of 10. She became a Jonin at the young age of 13. She spent the next 4 years as a Jonin, managing to become equal with the likes of shinobi decades older than her. Yumi has an incredible talent for analysis, rivaling even Shikamaru Nara's ability. She is also well-trained in Genjutsu and Ninjutsu, as well as being proficient in Taijutsu. She is often compared to prodigies such as Kakashi Hatake and Itachi Uchiha, and many believe that she has the potential to become the Seventh Hokage.

Yumi watched as the three all talked among each other. "Hm... Looks like you're all ready, then."

 

"Of course we are! I'm not gonna go easy on you either, Yumi-sensei!" Koukon pulled out a kunai, preparing to fight.

 

"Good. In that cast... Ready... Set... Go!" Yumi disappeared at the last word.

 

"Where'd she go..." Koukon looked around, confused.

 

"Right here." Yumi appeared next to Koukon, forming a few handseals. Koukon suddenly lost all focus on the battle and began muttering, seemingly caught in an illusion. "Hm... That was easier than expected." She muttered. "Now then... it's your turns, now." She looked at the other two, and pulled out a kunai. I just need to find out their weaknesses... Koukon's was easy to notice, and I think I've got it down for the others as well...

Itachi started to run towards Yumi.

 

Kinatama quickly put a hand on Koukon's shoulder to shatter the illusion. "Not bad, Yumi Sensei. But you'll have to do better than one someone like me!" Kinatama yelled as he charged straight into her, and jumped into the air to slam a Superman punch into her face.

As Kinatama tried to punch Yumi, Itachi charged some chakra into his fist and ran up behind her, ready to punch her after Kinatama's attack.

Yumi dodged the two punches from Kinatama and Itachi, and sighed. "Did they really just charge me from different sides? Didn't they know it wouldn't end well if I dodged, and they collided?"

 

Meanwhile, Koukon snapped out of his illusion. He looked around, with an expression like he'd just woken up. "Huh? What just happened? I was having a dream, or something... Did I fall asleep?" He asked, noticing his two teammates about to attack each other. "Of course those two would get themselves in that bad of a position." He noted, embarrassed that they'd fallen into that trap so easily. He noticed Yumi was focused on the two. "Hey... I get a free shot!" He tossed his kunai at Yumi, who dodged it easily, and appeared behind Koukon.

 

"You think it would be that easy?" She asked, and shoved Koukon in the middle of Itachi and Kinatamas' attacks.

He bristled a little as he thought he heard at least three cracks coming from Koukon's jaw, mouth, and nose. That's gonna leave a mark... he quipped in his mind.

Itachi's eyes went wide as Koukon was shoved into their attacks after Yumi dodged. He tried to direct his punch to the ground so it wouldn't hit him, but instead he ended up hitting him full force in the leg, barely missing his ballsack by an inch. He thought he could hear his leg cracking as it happened. At the same time....

 

Holy crap, she's good. And now i kinda feel bad for Koukon, he's gonna be completely unconsious after this, maybe even in a coma.....

(Knowing Koukon, I think he'd rather have the hit to the face than the hit to the balls. )

Koukon started seeing black. I... I just woke up, though... He fell over again.

 

"Well... That's one down." Yumi announced. "Let's see how long it takes for you two to follow."

Itachi quickly backflipped away from Yumi and Koukon. Damn, she turned our own power against us. This the power of a Jonin?

 

"So, you really weren't kidding when you said that we'd have to go all out if we were going to have a chance to beat you......In that case...." He turned towards Kinatama. "Put some distance between yourself and I, we don't want her taking us out again just because we were careless in using our own power." He started making fast hand motions and clapped his hands together, and made a circle with his index finger and thumb and put it right in front of his mouth. "FIRE STYLE: FIRE BALL JUTSU!" He blew a huge fire out of his mouth towards Yumi and away from Koukon and Kinatama.

Kinatama quickly caught Koukon mid-air and hung him gently on his shoulder. "Sorry about that, string bean. I'll fix you up, don't worry," He said to the probably unconscious Yougan clansmen. Itachi relayed to him advice to keep distance from him for now on. Kinatama nodded in response and leapt away as Itachi spat out a Fireball Justu at Yumi. For the first time, it seems, Kinatama was able to communicate with Itachi without either a) Itachi pissing him off or b) Itachi acting like a jerk to him. Kinatama probably wouldn't have argued even if a or b did occur though; not at a time like this.

 

After leaping away a safe distance from Itachi and Yumi, Kinatama layed Koukon on the ground and examined his face. The nose was bent at a weird angle, the jaw was slacked, and the mouth was bleeding and full of broken teeth. Dammit. I don't know my own strength... why am I such an idiot? He cursed in his mind. Without wasting any more time, Kinatama used a special jutsu to see the inner workings of Koukon's face's bone structure, a sort of X-ray type ability. Performing the Tiger, Ox, and a foreign hand seal which had him touching his knuckles together. "Medical Ninjustu Special: Reconstruction," He said to himself, as he hovered his fingers over Koukon's face. He touched his face in certain points, moving his bones back in place as well as sticking them back together and even healing the bruised muscle, tissue, and skin at the same time. This was a more effective method than the normal Healing Jutsu, because it focused on speeding up the healing processes of specific body parts (mostly bones and nerves) instead of the entire body as a whole. The Mottoyoi created this jutsu to help keep their bodies healthy to correlate with their harsh training regimens.

Itachi saw that Kinatama was stuck standing there after Yumi's handseals. Damn, now he's under a genjutsu too?

 

He quickly got his kunai out and ready. After Koukon used his Fireball Jutsu, Itachi got to her side so he wouldn't hit Koukon and threw a Kunai at her. He then took the time, and charged his hand with lightning, the sound of thousands of birds ripping through the sky. He ran towards Yumi. "CHIDORI!" The jutsu made contact.

As Yumi appeared in front of Kinatama and formed some hand seals, then disappearing without a trace. The next thing he saw was Koukon being killed mid sentence, Itachi sharing the same fate. The killer, his own sensei, then appeared in front of him and stabbed him in the shoulder with a kunai, and snerring at him as she proclaimed that he would suffer a slow and painful death.

 

Kinatama went through a mix of shock and anger, but ended up chuckingly darkly at his sensei. "You really think I'm falling for this crap? NICE TRY!" Kinatama ripped the kunai out of his shoulder and kicking his sensei back. "Release!" He said, putting up a hand seal to escape the genjutsu.

 

Kintama returned to reality to see Koukon and Itachi alive, with Koukon looking at him weird and Itachi squaring off with Yumi. He then saw Itachi drive a Chidori straight into her. 

 

"Whoa! Did he get her for real?!" He said out loud.

Yumi was directly hit by the Chidori... "Poof!" There was a cloud of smoke, and suddenly, there was a log in her place. She reappeared behind Itachi. "Nice try. You would've been better off going for the scroll, though." She chided, then looked at Kinatama, who woke up.

 

"You're finally up, Kinatama. Took long enough. You ready to join in and fight?" Koukon asked, smirking. He tossed a kunai at Yumi, who dodged it. He tried another Fireball Jutsu while Yumi was distracted. "Alright Itachi, your turn!" He shouted to his teammate.

Itachi looked towards Yumi. "RIGHT!" He quickly fired a Fire ball and ran up to Yumi and punched the ground beneath her with chakra infused fists to send her into the air, and he tried to grab the scroll. This is it!

Yumi managed to kick down at Itachi, sending him back down to the ground. Yumi landed, and looked back at Itachi. "Don't ever think your opponent has let their guard down." She warned her student, and threw a kunai at him.

 

"She's open, Kinatama!" Koukon said, and pulled out another kunai. "You ready to go?" He asked.

Yumi managed to kick down at Itachi, sending him back down to the ground. Yumi landed, and looked back at Itachi. "Don't ever think your opponent has let their guard down." She warned her student, and threw a kunai at him.

 

"She's open, Kinatama!" Koukon said, and pulled out another kunai. "You ready to go?" He asked.

 

"Yeah man, lets do this!" Kinatama said, throwing out Earth Style hand seals and ending with the Mottoyoi seals, then making a crater in the ground as he stomped the ground and made a giant piece of earth shoot up from the ground. "Earth Style: Stone Shot!" He yelled, punching the earth three times, launching the now shattered pieces of earth at this sensei.

"Yeah man, lets do this!" Kinatama said, throwing out Earth Style hand seals and ending with the Mottoyoi seals, then making a crater in the ground as he stomped the ground and made a giant piece of earth shoot up from the ground. "Earth Style: Stone Shot!" He yelled, punching the earth three times, launching the now shattered pieces of earth at this sensei.

Itachi was on top of one of the pieces of earth that Kinatama fired and flew into Yumi, the force knocking her out cold. He landed on to her and grabbed her scroll. "VICTORY!"

 

Itachi got up and looked towards Yumi. He quickly fired a fire ball at Yumi to coincide with Koukon and Kinatama's attacks.

Koukon followed up by throwing the kunai, and forming more handseals. "Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" He shot a fireball in Yumi's direction.

 

Yumi Dodged the first two stone shots, but the third hit her in the stomach, knocking her over. The fireballs also hit her, keeping her down.

 

"Alright, Itachi, you're the closest! Get the scroll!" Koukon shouted to his teammate.

"Alright, Itachi, you're the closest! Get the scroll!" Koukon shouted to his teammate.

Itachi nodded. "Right!" He ran up to Yumi and kicked her up into the air and jumped up to her. He quickly got a hold of the scroll and prepared to kick her and rip the scroll from her thigh. "LION'S BARRAGE!" He kicked her and grabbed the scroll, and fell to the ground.

"We did it!" Koukon shouted, excited that they'd passed. Yumi disappeared in a puff of smoke, leaving nothing behind. "Uh... What was that?" Koukon asked, confused.

 

Yumi reappeared to the side of the three. "Congratulations, you three managed to do it." She congratulated them. She grinned "Although, I've got to be honest, that was a clone..." She laughed a bit.

 

"Wait... So we had that much trouble with a clone?" Koukon asked, feeling a little less confident in himself.

 

"Well, I am a jonin" Yumi smiled. "Of course you three wouldn't be able to take me out in an even match. Either way, you three definitely have what it takes to be true shinobi!" She gave them a thumbs up. "However... You weren't perfect. Koukon." She turned towards the genin. "You fell into temptation too easily with the genjutsu. If it wasn't for Kinatama, you easily could have died after being trapped in that illusion." The genin's face turned slightly red. "Next, Kinatama and Itachi. You two were not communicating properly, and nearly hit each other, hitting Koukon instead. If you two communicated properly, you could have avoided having to heal him" She warned the two.

It was a clone? Wow, this is the power of an elite. We have to watch out in the future.

 

Itachi looked towards his teammates. "Well, at least now i know you guys aren't failures. I guess i underestimated you 2 and your capabilities." He looked away. "You guys still need to mature though, you're both too naive."

But you still need to have surgery to remove that massive stick that is apparently glued to the inside of your posterior. Maybe then we learn to co-exist with each other," Kinatama said rather blatantly.

The man turned to the back, and handed Yumi two Popsicles (The kind that Jiraiya gave to Naruto, that you could split apart and stuff). "Here, you guys all get one." She split off one, and handed it too Itachi. She handed the other Popsicle to Koukon, who split it and offered the other part to Kinatama. "Congratulations, Team Yumi." She smiled at the three genin. "Let's do our best on tomorrow's mission!"
