(I swear, this is my fourth Naruto roleplay... Anyway, here we go!)

 

The tale of the Fourth Great Ninja War is one of the most well-known in the shinobi world: Ending in a victory for the Allied Shinobi Force, it allowed for mutual respect and peace between the five great nations of the land. After the war, Naruto Uzumaki, a young jinchuriki who greatly influenced the outcome of the war, was elected as Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village. Since then, the ninja from the war have settled into a much more peaceful lifestyle. Now, in the next generation of the village, the peace is being threatened by a new group. Can the next generation have the same success as the previous one?

Name: Koukon Yougan

 

Age: 13

 

Appearance: Koukon wears a standard Konoha headband across his forehead. He has medium length black hair, which partially obscures his headband. He commonly wears a red hoodie and blue shorts.

 

Gender: Male

 

Personality: Koukon is a bit of a class clown, constantly making jokes and teasing his friends. He's actually very determined to do his best, and will rarely back down from a situation. He's friendly towards those who he gets to know, and can be jokingly sarcastic towards friends at times. He's also got a soft spot for girls...

 

Bio/Family Heritage: Koukon is the heir to the Yougan clan, a prestigious clan known for its expertise with fire style jutsu. The clan was known to even rival the Uchiha in this field. Koukon was expected to be one of the greatest clan members in years, and went through quite a bit of harsh training to get to this point. However, he never got down about it, and always looked on the bright side: Impressing the ladies with his talent. He was also close friends with the Hokage's daughter growing up, along with being rivals with Kinatama Mottoyoi. He graduated from the academy at the top of the class, despite being a clown most of the time.

Appearance: Yumi has long red hair, a trademark of the Uzumaki clan. When she's on a mission, or training with her students, she typically wears the standard Leaf shinobi uniform, with the Konoha headband on her forehead. Otherwise, she usually wears an orange t-shirt and blue jeans.

 

Gender: Female

 

Personality: Around her students, or when in a mission, Yumi is typically serious, and acts encouraging towards her teammates. She can often be quieter in battles, due to focusing on analyzing her opponents moves. However, when with her friends, she's more laid back and carefree. This sometimes leaks out around her team, although it doesn't bother her too much when this happens.

 

Bio/Family Heritage: Yumi is a member of the Uzumaki clan, which has become a much smaller clan since the destruction of the Land of Eddies. She was born after her mother, Karin, retired from her position as a shinobi due to guilt for helping rogue ninja. Yumi decided to take on her mother's legacy as a shinobi, and trained hard in order to fill the gap her mother left. She graduated from the Academy at the age of 8, and became a Chunin at the age of 10. She became a Jonin at the young age of 13. She spent the next 4 years as a Jonin, managing to become equal with the likes of shinobi decades older than her. Yumi has an incredible talent for analysis, rivaling even Shikamaru Nara's ability. She is also well-trained in Genjutsu and Ninjutsu, as well as being proficient in Taijutsu. She is often compared to prodigies such as Kakashi Hatake and Itachi Uchiha, and many believe that she has the potential to become the Seventh Hokage.

Kinatama quickly backed up and dodged the masked man's slice. "Ha! Missed!" He gloated, quickly sidestepping the masked man and getting behind him, grabbing him in a deathly gripped bearhug from behind. "Now then, be the first to witness the strength of my clan's Taijustu power!" Kinatama yelled, as he quickly jumped into the air, masked man still in his grasp, as they both spun wildly and made their way back down to earth.

 

"Mottoyoi Taijustu Special: Rolling Snap Suplex!!" Kinatama cried out, slamming the masked man on his neck, his back and body laying forward, arms and legs outstretched and hanging in the air, while Kinatama layed arched in his hold, balancing on his balls of his feet. The masked man pulled himself back up, clearly damaged from the attack. "Hm... You Leaf brats are surprisingly talented. Still... No match for me!" He ran towards Itachi, trying to stab the Uchiha in the chest.

Itachi quickly parried the stab with his kunai and countered by kicking him to the chest to push him away and did a quick flurry of Hand signs. "FIRE BALL!" He shot out a huge fire ball that was heading for the man while he tried to recover from the kick.

The masked man was directly hit by the Fireball Jutsu. His clothes were singed due to the heat, but he could still stand. "Hm... Tougher than I thought." He muttered, and turned to Koukon. "Now, let's test you, then!" He ran towards the shinobi, preparing to slice off his head. Koukon dodged, but the blade slightly grazed his face.

 

"Ugh..." Koukon grunted in pain, then formed a few more handseals. "Let's see if you can stand even more heat! Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" He shot another fireball at the rogue shinobi, who managed to dodge it.

 

"I won't fall for the same trick twice, boy!" He laughed, then eyed Yumi. "Hm... And you're the last one, then?" He tossed a few shuriken at her.

 

"Yumi-sensei!" Koukon shouted. Yumi had been focusing on the fight, and didn't seem prepared to counter any attacks.

 

Suddenly, the shuriken were deflected. Yumi had quickly pulled out a kunai, allowing her to block the attacks. "Don't underestimate me, Koukon. Stupid tricks like his won't get me." Yumi smirked. "Now then... Wind Style: Air Scythe Jutsu!" A compressed blast of air shot towards the masked man, tearing his clothes, even ripping shreds off. His skin was badly cut from the jutsu.

Itachi quickly jumped out in front of the group and gathered energy for a few seconds. "FIRE BALL JUTSU!" He quickly spread out his breath of fire all along the battlefield in one line, to act as a barrier against the Phoenix Flower jutsu and block it all.

Hmph. They just keep tossing fire around. That's boring. Kinatama commented, managing to submerge himself in the shadows after his previous assault on the masked villain, leaving his teammates and sensei to fend for themselves while still closely watching over them in the trees. Now, if you really want to take your enemy out... you gotta hit him where it hurts! Kinatama then balled up his right fist as it began to glow with a faint whitish-bluish aura. The young Mottoyoi Clan prodigy had been developing a new jutsu for many months now, in preparation of his promotion to a genin, and right now was the perfect time to test the first prototype in real life combat.

 

Here it comes, Mister Mask... Kinatama internally mocked, as he gripped his right wrist with his last hand. Down below, Itachi had created a wall of fire to shield himself, Yumi, and Koukon from their masked assailant. While they were all in a state of unknowing, the man in the mask, especially, with his guard down, Kinatama appeared back on the battlefield, landing right in front of the wall of fire, and speeding down towards his target with the chakra coated fist loaded back to strike. Flash stepping once on the ground, he dashed and planted himself right under his opponent's guard, and drove the fist straight into his stomach.

 

"Wind Style: Rocket Launcher!!" Kinatama cried, the fist burrowing deep into the man's upper body until the chakra around it exploded with a burst of wind like spirals that were so powerful, the masked man was sent literally spinning upward at an angle, the impact of the wind strike carrying him as he yelled out in pain and shock and crashed into the base of a tree trunk, sticking to the trunk's surface for a moment before dropping like a dead weight back onto the ground; he landed on his face and stomach, arms and legs sprawled onto the ground as well as he lay in possible uncosciousness.

 

Kinatama held up the fist that created the Rocket Launcher jutsu and tightened his fingers into his palm. "It really worked... and if that's just my first try... I bet this thing can get even stronger with time..." He said to himself, turning back to his team. "Yo guys! You alright?!"

Suddenly, a large wave surged up above the rogue ninja, and crashed down on him, extinguishing his fireballs in the process. "Heh... That's how you take down a ninja!" She smirked.

"Ah, I see... Well then, it's good to know that you took care of the job so quickly!" Naruto smiled, glad that the team had worked so well.

 

"Yep!" Yumi grinned. "These three are improving quickly. It must be because I'm their sensei." Yumi boasted.

 

Koukon smiled. "It's all thanks to the powerful Yumi-sensei!" He added in, kissing up to their teacher, who laughed.

 

Naruto looked somewhat embarrassed. "Er... Right... Anyway, you are dismissed! We'll have a mission for you tomorrow!" He smiled.

 

 

 

"Well, that's it for now, I guess." Yumi said, walking out of the Hokage's mansion. "So... If there's nothing you three would like to do together, I'd say it's best that we all rest."

"Yeah, you're awesome, Yumi-sensei!" Koukon grinned.

 

Yumi grinned. "Heh... It was nothing." She laughed. "Anyway... We need to go back to the Hokage's office. Let's go back, team!" She said, leading them back home.

The only thing you really did was use Fireball, at least Kinatama and I varied things up a bit to keep our enemies guessing, i even used some melee. If not, your gonna be a sitting duck for when they figure out your tactics." He started walking away.

If you would quit acting like this, maybe we could actually use some real teamwork for once!" He shouted, angered by his partner's behavior. "I have other jutsu, anyway! I just don't want to show all my tricks yet! And you!" He looked at Kinatama. "Why are you backing him up, anyway? I thought you hated him as much as I do!"

 

Yumi sighed. Just when I thought they finally learned to get along... This will be tougher than I thought.

Itachi left without a word too.

"Hmph. Whatever," Kinatama huffed, as he too left the scene, mind deep in thought. Koukon has always had a lot of conviction, but... he's gonna drive himself nuts if he keeps acting like this. And Itachi is the same. I better double it to make sure those two act right. After all, I said I was second in command of our cell. I might as well act like it.

The next day, Team Yumi arrived at the Hokage's mansion to recieve their new mission. "We've been ordered to meet in the Hokage's office... He must have something big planned for us." Yumi instructed her team as they walked through the mansion. Eventually, they reached the room they were told to meet in. Upon entering the room, Team Yumi could notice that there were 9 other shinobi in the same age group as the three genin, and three who appeared to be jonin.

 

One girl turned to face Team Yumi. Her gray eyes studied the three genin, and focused on Koukon. "You're late, ya know." She muttered in a soft voice.

 

Koukon looked a little embarrassed. "Heh, sorry... Wait, Hikari? What are you doing here?" He asked.

 

"We were all told to meet here." Another girl looked back at Team Yumi. Her eyes brightened, realizing who all had just arrived. "Oh, Kinatama! Hey!" She smiled. "And hello to you too, brother."

 

A blonde haired boy looked at Team Yumi, seemingly angered. "Took you three long enough! I've been ready to go for a while now, you were the only ones keeping me from showing off how much stronger I've gotten!"

 

"Oh, Kiyoshi!" Koukon waved to his sister, then looked over to the boy who'd shouted at him. "Oh, you're here too, Inoue."

 

Inoue glared at Koukon. "What's that supposed to mean? I'm not even worth a hello?"

 

"Stop fighting, you two." Hikari glared at both.

 

"R-right." Koukon straightened up, nervous due to his friend's gaze.

The next day, Team Yumi arrived at the Hokage's mansion to recieve their new mission. "We've been ordered to meet in the Hokage's office... He must have something big planned for us." Yumi instructed her team as they walked through the mansion. Eventually, they reached the room they were told to meet in. Upon entering the room, Team Yumi could notice that there were 9 other shinobi in the same age group as the three genin, and three who appeared to be jonin.

 

One girl turned to face Team Yumi. Her gray eyes studied the three genin, and focused on Koukon. "You're late, ya know." She muttered in a soft voice.

 

Koukon looked a little embarrassed. "Heh, sorry... Wait, Hikari? What are you doing here?" He asked.

 

"We were all told to meet here." Another girl looked back at Team Yumi. Her eyes brightened, realizing who all had just arrived. "Oh, Kinatama! Hey!" She smiled. "And hello to you too, brother."

 

A blonde haired boy looked at Team Yumi, seemingly angered. "Took you three long enough! I've been ready to go for a while now, you were the only ones keeping me from showing off how much stronger I've gotten!"

 

"Oh, Kiyoshi!" Koukon waved to his sister, then looked over to the boy who'd shouted at him. "Oh, you're here too, Inoue."

 

Inoue glared at Koukon. "What's that supposed to mean? I'm not even worth a hello?"

 

"Stop fighting, you two." Hikari glared at both.

 

"R-right." Koukon straightened up, nervous due to his friend's gaze.

Konohamaru Sensei looked towards Inoue. "Now now Inoue, no need to get all fired up. The point is that they're here now and we can get started."

 

Itachi looked towards Hikari. "Oh, hey there Uzumaki. So, who're you paired up with anyway?"

 

Tenshi looked towards Kiyoshi, holding his hands behind his head. "So, is that your brother Kiyoshi? He seems kinda silly if you ask me."

 

Banken looked towards Tenshi. "Why do you care? The only thing you need to know about them is that their just our competitors. Eventually we'll have to go up against them in the Chunin exams, so you might not wanna get to attached to them if you end up fighting them. Or even any of us for that matter."

 

Shikana put her hand on Inoue's shoulder. "Calm down man, just listen to Konoha Sensei, we're ready to go now, everything's fine."

Kinatama

 

"Oh hey, Hikari," Kinatama said nonchalantly, trying not to get mixed up in anything he didn't want be mixed up with. "Heh, Hey there Kiyoshi. You're awfully cheery today. Then again, you're cheery most of the time too," Kinatama chuckled, crossing his mighty arms over his chest.

 

Shogo

 

The pale eyed boy with his arm in a sling chose to stay quiet among the chatter his teammate had caused. We've only been here a few moments as she's already sparking conflict. It's foolish. He thought. His green spandex wearing teammate next to him had a different outlook...

 

Ryuichi

 

"Yes, please listen to Hikari everybody! She is right! We must not let an argument like this extinguish our flames of youth!" Ryuichi said, literal fire burning in his eyes. "We are all about to embark on a great test of our will!"

 

Chosan

 

The pudgy clan heir was too busy munching on potato chips to really tune into what was going on at the moment, and even what he could gather over his eating, he was glad he was participating in the squabble Inoue had started, and he was glad that Shikana was able to seemingly calm him down as well.

Rock Lee cried tears of joy for his son. "Yes, my son! Spread your youthful knowledge with your friends! You are in the springtime of your youths, you must unite together and share this precious time of your lives! There is no time for senseless bickering, you must all work as one to achieve your youthful goals!" He gave his son a thumbs up, proud of his performance.

 

Naruto turned to Sakura, laughing. "You know, they remind me of our class back when we were kids. It's funny watching them..."

 

Sakura grinned. "Yeah... I suppose that means we've taught them well."

 

"Right... Anyways, time to start the debriefing." Naruto turned to the group in front of him. "Alright, everyone! I've gathered you all here for a joint mission. There are rumors about illegal activities being carried out within the borders of the Land of Fire, and I'd like for you to investigate into this. Our jonin are currently carrying out other duties, so you're the best we have. However, I'm proud of your performances so far, and I believe you're more than capable of doing this." The Hokage smiled at the group before him. "Now, we'll split into two teams. Each will investigate the two most suspicious areas." He pulled out a few files.

 

"The first team will consist of Koukon Yougan, Kinatama Mottoyoi, Itachi Uchiha, Hikari Uzumaki, Ryuichi, and Shogo Hyuga, who will be led by Yumi Uzumaki and Rock Lee." He nodded at the two jonin, who nodded back. "The second team is Inoue Yamanama, Shikana Nara, Chosan Akimichi, Banken Inuzuka, Tenshi Yami, and Kiyoshi Yougan, who will be led by Konohamaru Sarutobi, and... uh... Fujiri Aburame!" Naruto was embarrassed that he'd forgotten the name of yet another Aburame clan member... He handed a file to Yumi, and another to Konohamaru. "I trust you two with these documents. I want to remind you all that this is a reconnaissance mission, and that you are not to fight anyone that you encounter. Now then... You're all dismissed! Good luck with your mission!" The Hokage dismissed the genin and jonin, who all walked outside.

 

After leaving, Konohamaru led his team off towards the village gates. Yumi looked over the documents that the Hokage had given her, and looked up at her team. "Alright, I've memorized the general area we're supposed to search." She put the documents away. "If you don't mind, I'll be leading the way, Lee-sensei."

 

"I am okay with that! You are also in the springtime of your youth, you should have the opportunity to take command over those older than you at times as well!" Rock Lee gave Yumi one of his signature thumb-ups.

 

"Thank you." Yumi smiled, Lee's strange personality never failing to amuse her. "Now then... Let's move out, team." She led her group towards the village gates...

Team Yumi's second-in-command in on duty," Kinatama said, as he followed his sensei and the others towards the gate. Really though, I wonder if I can manage to save them all if we get into great danger... though, I doubt that might happen... agh, no, it could. We're ninja after all. Our lives are always in dangerous.

 

Shogo

 

"Hmph. Alright then, lets head out, and hopefully we won't have to deal with any nonsense along the way," Shogo said, following his teammates and sensei. This might prove to be a great chance to test my abilities, he said in his mind, his only fist clenching.

 

Ryuichi

 

"Thank you very much, Dad Sensei!" Ryuichi cried, giving an identical thumbs to his father and sensei, as he followed him and the others towards the gate, his eyes still burning with fire.

 

Chosan

 

"Mm, alright. Let's go," Chosan said through his chips as he followed the others towards the gate. 

 

Fujiri

 

Did Lord Hokage really just forget my name? Fujiri asked in his mind, his hood concealing his raised eyebrow. He softly sighed to himself, without a never word, and led his team along with Konohamaru's team towards the gate.

(GLOB IT GUYS, WHY YOU DO THIS WHEN I WAS BUSY AND COULDN'T GET ON? >_> Now i gotta wait until tomorrow. URGH.)

Tenshi looked towards Koukon. "I'm just saying, i hope you're able to compete with the top of your class." Then he put his hand on his shoulder. "But then again, You're Kiyoshi's sister. You'll probably do fine. Good luck out there!"
 
Banken heard Kiyoshi's comment about being safe. "Of course you'll be safe Kiyo, Tenshi and I are more than enough to protect you."

Konohamaru bowed to Naruto. "We'll take care of this, rest at ease Lord Sixth." He walked out with Fujiri and nudged him. "So, mind if i take charge of this mission? After all, i get the feeling that everyone's gonna forget your name......Fuju?" 
 
Shikana sighed and drooped down in annoyedness. "Oh great, illegal activities. This is gonna be fun....." She grabbed Inoue's collar and started towards the direction of their sensei.
