(I swear, this is my fourth Naruto roleplay... Anyway, here we go!)

 

The tale of the Fourth Great Ninja War is one of the most well-known in the shinobi world: Ending in a victory for the Allied Shinobi Force, it allowed for mutual respect and peace between the five great nations of the land. After the war, Naruto Uzumaki, a young jinchuriki who greatly influenced the outcome of the war, was elected as Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village. Since then, the ninja from the war have settled into a much more peaceful lifestyle. Now, in the next generation of the village, the peace is being threatened by a new group. Can the next generation have the same success as the previous one?

Name: Koukon Yougan

 

Age: 13

 

Appearance: Koukon wears a standard Konoha headband across his forehead. He has medium length black hair, which partially obscures his headband. He commonly wears a red hoodie and blue shorts.

 

Gender: Male

 

Personality: Koukon is a bit of a class clown, constantly making jokes and teasing his friends. He's actually very determined to do his best, and will rarely back down from a situation. He's friendly towards those who he gets to know, and can be jokingly sarcastic towards friends at times. He's also got a soft spot for girls...

 

Bio/Family Heritage: Koukon is the heir to the Yougan clan, a prestigious clan known for its expertise with fire style jutsu. The clan was known to even rival the Uchiha in this field. Koukon was expected to be one of the greatest clan members in years, and went through quite a bit of harsh training to get to this point. However, he never got down about it, and always looked on the bright side: Impressing the ladies with his talent. He was also close friends with the Hokage's daughter growing up, along with being rivals with Kinatama Mottoyoi. He graduated from the academy at the top of the class, despite being a clown most of the time.

Appearance: Yumi has long red hair, a trademark of the Uzumaki clan. When she's on a mission, or training with her students, she typically wears the standard Leaf shinobi uniform, with the Konoha headband on her forehead. Otherwise, she usually wears an orange t-shirt and blue jeans.

 

Gender: Female

 

Personality: Around her students, or when in a mission, Yumi is typically serious, and acts encouraging towards her teammates. She can often be quieter in battles, due to focusing on analyzing her opponents moves. However, when with her friends, she's more laid back and carefree. This sometimes leaks out around her team, although it doesn't bother her too much when this happens.

 

Bio/Family Heritage: Yumi is a member of the Uzumaki clan, which has become a much smaller clan since the destruction of the Land of Eddies. She was born after her mother, Karin, retired from her position as a shinobi due to guilt for helping rogue ninja. Yumi decided to take on her mother's legacy as a shinobi, and trained hard in order to fill the gap her mother left. She graduated from the Academy at the age of 8, and became a Chunin at the age of 10. She became a Jonin at the young age of 13. She spent the next 4 years as a Jonin, managing to become equal with the likes of shinobi decades older than her. Yumi has an incredible talent for analysis, rivaling even Shikamaru Nara's ability. She is also well-trained in Genjutsu and Ninjutsu, as well as being proficient in Taijutsu. She is often compared to prodigies such as Kakashi Hatake and Itachi Uchiha, and many believe that she has the potential to become the Seventh Hokage.

Itachi looked towards Hikari. "Oh sorry, did I strike a nerve? What's wrong with calling you your real last name anyway?

 

Tenshi looked towards Koukon. "I'm just saying, i hope you're able to compete with the top of your class." Then he put his hand on his shoulder. "But then again, You're Kiyoshi's sister. You'll probably do fine. Good luck out there!"

 

Banken heard Kiyoshi's comment about being safe. "Of course you'll be safe Kiyo, Tenshi and I are more than enough to protect you."

 

 

Itachi looked again towards Hikari. "Ok then Uzumaki, i guess we're heading off together. You ready for this?" He walked towards the gate with his group. Great, all of us are going together. Here we go again. It'll be interesting to see how Hikari acts when she's with her friends though.

 

Konohamaru bowed to Naruto. "We'll take care of this, rest at ease Lord Sixth." He walked out with Fujiri and nudged him. "So, mind if i take charge of this mission? After all, i get the feeling that everyone's gonna forget your name......Fuju?" 

 

Shikana sighed and drooped down in annoyedness. "Oh great, illegal activities. This is gonna be fun....." She grabbed Inoue's collar and started towards the direction of their sensei.

Hikari glared at Itachi again, this look more threatening than the last. "I told you, don't call me Uzumaki." She growled back at the Uchiha. "And of course I'm ready."

 

Inoue tried squirming out of Shikana's grip. "Hey, let me go! I can walk on my own!" He shouted, trying to free himself from his teammate's grip.

 

 

Kinatama

 

"Joint mission huh? Looks like I got more lives to take into account. Don't worry about it, though, I got your backs everybody. Team Yumi's second-in-command in on duty," Kinatama said, as he followed his sensei and the others towards the gate. Really though, I wonder if I can manage to save them all if we get into great danger... though, I doubt that might happen... agh, no, it could. We're ninja after all. Our lives are always in dangerous.

 

Shogo

 

"Hmph. Alright then, lets head out, and hopefully we won't have to deal with any nonsense along the way," Shogo said, following his teammates and sensei. This might prove to be a great chance to test my abilities, he said in his mind, his only fist clenching.

 

Ryuichi

 

"Thank you very much, Dad Sensei!" Ryuichi cried, giving an identical thumbs to his father and sensei, as he followed him and the others towards the gate, his eyes still burning with fire.

 

Chosan

 

"Mm, alright. Let's go," Chosan said through his chips as he followed the others towards the gate. 

 

Fujiri

 

Did Lord Hokage really just forget my name? Fujiri asked in his mind, his hood concealing his raised eyebrow. He softly sighed to himself, without a never word, and led his team along with Konohamaru's team towards the gate.

Koukon eyed Kinatama suspiciously. "Who made you second in command, anyway...?" He muttered, still following Yumi. I'm way more capable of being second in command than he is. He just wants to get closer to Yumi-sensei!

 

Hikari sped up a bit, catching up to Koukon and Kinatama. "That Itachi guy's your teammate?" She whispered to them, making sure Itachi couldn't hear her. "I feel sorry for you guys... It's only been five minutes, and the guy's already trying to get on my nerves."

 

Shikana: "Alright fine." She let go of Inoue, who then fell to the floor and kept walking towards her sensei. "So Sensei, do you really think we're capable of this mission?"

 

Konohamaru: "Yes Shikana, it's going to be fine." He said calmly. "I'm sure you and your team are fine. Just watch out for Aburame's group, make sure they don't get into serious trouble."

We, including you and I, plus Yumi and Lee, are all the leaders of this mission. Even if my own students forget my name from time to time, they will remember me through my actions, and my leadership," And that includes whether or not I can show them my power on this mission. Most likely... I will.

Yumi noticed Koukon, Kinatama, and Hikari all talking to each other. "You three seem to know each other pretty well... I'm guessing you're all friends?" She asked.

 

"Yeah, we've known each other for years!" Koukon grinned at his sensei.

 

"What he said." Hikari responded, keeping fairly quiet.

 

Inoue

Inoue looked over at his brother, Chosan. "Yo, Chosan! You sure you're up to this? You look scared! You're a ninja, you've got to be ready for anything!" He egged his brother on.

Koukon

"Well, it is three against one." Koukon whispered back to his two friends. "We win in numbers. I'd love to trash that annoying Uchiha kid." Koukon smirked.

 

Hikari

"Yeah, me, Hikari, and string bean go way back. We were like our own little clique back in the day. Oh and I shouldn't count out little Kiyoshi either," Kinatama said.

 

Chosan

 

"What, me? Nah, nah!" Chosan said, swallowing his chips quickly so he could avoid talking too much with his mouth full. "I got this, bro! I've been sharpening up a couple tricks and I'm ready to bust them out! Maybe, just maybe, even you might not be able to handle it!" Chosan said, inadvertently. Only his brother Inoue could make him break out of his normally kind and humble cocoon. In the back of his head, he was wondering how that all came out in the first place, like he always did.

He went up to Ryuichi. "So, i'm guessing your Lee Sensei's son. What's it like? Also, can you open any of the inner gates?"

 

He then looked at Shogo. "And what about you? Are you good in battle, even with that handicap?" He pointed to his arm.

Ryuichi

 

"Yes, that is correct," Ryuichi replied, throwing up a thumb pointing at himself. "I am the son of the Hidden Leaf's Beautiful Green Beast, Rock Lee! My name is Ryuichi Lee, The Hidden Leaf's Red And Green Typhoon! I am fully dedicated to upholding my father's legacy, and yes, I am a user of the Eight Gates! However, I cannot tell you how many Gates I have unlocked. That, my fellow Leaf ninja, is a secret," Ryuichi added, his eyes flashing to Lee for a quick second and giving him a thumbs up.

Shogo's pale eyes crinkled in anger at the Uchiha boy. He hated when his arm was brought up in a way that made him feel inferior.

"Heh, yeah right! We both know who's the stronger one out of the two of us!" Inoue bragged to his brother, not caring if it made him more angry or not. "You'd better hope that your new jutsu will be enough for whoever our enemy is!"

Ryuichi

However, there is something that does bother me about her... but... I'd rather not say," Shogo's eyes shifed down to the ground as he said this, the corner of his eye picking up the girl in question. He hid a small glance of what could appear to be Killing Intent as he focused on the ground for a few more moments and quickly shifted his eyes back up and looking forward.

 

Koukon

The young muscly boy gave a grunt in aggreeance with Koukon, and also tuned into what Hikari had whispered. "You know what? Ignore him at this point. He's only going to get worse they more time we allow him to run his mouth," Kinatama whispered. 

 

Chosan

 

"I guess we'll see then, won't we bro?!" Chosan fired back, crumpling up his chip bag and throwing it behind his shoulder. He was actually surprised that he was keeping his bluff for this long.

Ryuichi

 

"That is correct," Ryuichi confirmed. "However, since I am also the son of the Leaf's greatest ninja too specialist, Tenten, I am also proficient in using various weapons," He added, trying to be vague like the last time.

"Ok then, i trust that you're fit for combat with just taijutsu. You're the son of a great specialist after all." He said to Ryu.

 

"Alright then, i'm looking forward to seeing your power on the battlefield Shogo. I'm sure you'll live up to your name, that arm wouldn't bring any true ninja down." Itachi said.

"Yeah, don't listen to the guy. He's just being a jerk for the sake of being a jerk. The guy's got nothing better to do aside from piss people off." He muttered, seemingly angered. He could manage being made fun of himself, but the fact that Hikari was becoming upset made Koukon mad. He was close to knocking some sense into the guy, but decided that it would look unprofessional in front of his sensei.

 

Hikari

Hikari nodded. "Yeah, you're right... I should just stop making him happier by falling for his crap." She sighed, slightly frustrated with the Uchiha. I'm so close to beating the crap out of that kid. She clenched her fist.

 

Inoue

"I guess, even though we all know who's the better fighter of the two of us!" Inoue fueled the sibling rivalry.

 

 

 

Yumi

Yumi's group eventually reached the village gates. "Alright, here we are... Now, we head to our real destination. Just follow me, and keep an eye out for anyone suspicious. And remember what the Hokage said; do NOT let any potential enemies see you! We're not here to fight." Yumi warned the team again, ensuring that they wouldn't screw up. "Now then... Let's go!" She ran off into the forest, and leaped up into the trees.

 

Koukon

"Alright, let's do this!" The genin grinned, excited to get going. I might've screwed up on the last mission, but I'll prove that I'm a great ninja this time! I won't ever screw up in front of Yumi-sensei again. There was a determined look in his eyes. He jumped up into the trees, going with Yumi.

 

Hikari

"Let us be moving on! Come, my son, you must show the power of your youth to the world! Go! Go! Gooo!" The jonin jumped up in excitement, following Yumi and the others.

Inoue

"I guess, even though we all know who's the better fighter of the two of us!" Inoue fueled the sibling rivalry.

 

Yumi

Yumi's group eventually reached the village gates. "Alright, here we are... Now, we head to our real destination. Just follow me, and keep an eye out for anyone suspicious. And remember what the Hokage said; do NOT let any potential enemies see you! We're not here to fight." Yumi warned the team again, ensuring that they wouldn't screw up. "Now then... Let's go!" She ran off into the forest, and leaped up into the trees.

Ryuichi

 

"Yes, Dad Sensei!!" Ryuichi shouted, following his father like clockwork, his other teammates as well.

"Yeah, don't listen to the guy. He's just being a jerk for the sake of being a jerk. The guy's got nothing better to do aside from piss people off." He muttered, seemingly angered. He could manage being made fun of himself, but the fact that Hikari was becoming upset made Koukon mad. He was close to knocking some sense into the guy, but decided that it would look unprofessional in front of his sensei.

 

Hikari

Hikari nodded. "Yeah, you're right... I should just stop making him happier by falling for his crap." She sighed, slightly frustrated with the Uchiha. I'm so close to beating the crap out of that kid. She clenched her fist.

 

Inoue

"I guess, even though we all know who's the better fighter of the two of us!" Inoue fueled the sibling rivalry.

I won't ever screw up in front of Yumi-sensei again. There was a determined look in his eyes. He jumped up into the trees, going with Yumi.

 

Hikari

Yumi tried not to laugh. These two are always pushing each other... I suppose a little rivalry doesn't hurt them, though. "Hey, you two. Keep it down, we don't know when we'll run into a target." She warned her students.

She ran towards their destination, making Inoue run along side her due to the jutsu making him copy whatever she would do.

"That goes for you too, Itachi," he added, as he started to push chakra in and out of his ears so that he could spot out any hiding enemies.

Yumi stopped on a branch, and signaled for the others to stop as well. "Okay... We're about to enter the target area. Keep quiet, and don't let anyone see if. If you find anyone, do not make contact. now then, there are two notable locations here that could house the rogue ninja... The first is an old bounty collection office, and the other is the ruins of the Fire Temple. I say that we hit the Fire Temple, first. It would be best if we split off into two teams, and met up nearby the temple. That way, we can't be detected as easily." She reached into a pouch on her leg, and pulled out a map. "Lee-sensei, you take a team and go around that way. I'll take a team this way. We'll meet here, then proceed to the temple. At that point, we'll have to be extremely careful not to be caught. I don't care who goes with who to our destination, so long as they don't get noticed. If there are no questions, we'll get started." She put the map back in her pouch, and looked at the group of genin.

 

Koukon

"Hey, Hikari. We haven't been able to hang out too often for a while... How about teaming up?" Koukon asked his friend, putting his arms behind his head.

 

Hikari

"Um... Sure." Hikari hadn't expected Koukon to ask her so suddenly. Still, she agreed. He's right, I haven't been able to be with him much at all recently... I might as well take the chance.

Yumi

He ended up tangling with the Demon Brothers and Zabuza Momochi from the Hidden Mist, as well as the trade tyrant Gato, instead. It was the first time he was forced into using his Nine Tails power. This mission could be just as dangerous. We need to stick together so we can be prepared for what might come. And as a second-in-command, I will do my best to keep everybody in check too, Sensei," Kinatama said, flashing is sensei a balled up fist for emphasis.

"I have been ready for a long time! Let us go on our way, Yumi-sensei! Use your youthful energy to guide us!" Lee gave Yumi a thumbs up, and began to go in the direction that Yumi had pointed out. Yumi sighed, and followed him.

 

Koukon

"Well, I guess that settles it, too..." He said. "Now then, let's go, guys! I'm getting bored just sitting here, we need to get moving! We'll meet up with you later, Yumi-sensei!" He began jumping through the forest in one of the directions Yumi had told them to go in.

 

Hikari

"Don't get ahead of yourself! If you get yourself into some dumb situation, don't expect me to get you out of it!" Hikari shouted to her friend, then sighed. She followed after him, trying to make sure he didn't go off too far on his own.

"I'm in charge of this mission now, string bean! Don't go AWOL on me!" Kinatama said, now getting far enough to where he was exactly at two branches ahead of Koukon.

 

Shogo

 

"As much as that Kinatama person seems to annoy me, I'm willing to follow him only because he seems like somebody who doesn't stand for nonsense," Shogo said, following Team Yumi as he caught up with them in the trees. Yes. Definetly no nonsense, he thought, listening to Kinatama bark at Koukon.

 

Ryuichi

 

The green spandex boy flashed a thumbs up at this fleeting father's back, and then saw Shogo take off with the others. "Wait for me, Shogo! The Green Beast will join you as well!" He said, getting into step with the others. Ryuichi frowned upon seeing Kinatama's behavior. He is a most aggressive person. Too aggressive it seems. His flames of youth burn within, but they burn angrily instead of passionately.
