(I swear, this is my fourth Naruto roleplay... Anyway, here we go!)

 

The tale of the Fourth Great Ninja War is one of the most well-known in the shinobi world: Ending in a victory for the Allied Shinobi Force, it allowed for mutual respect and peace between the five great nations of the land. After the war, Naruto Uzumaki, a young jinchuriki who greatly influenced the outcome of the war, was elected as Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village. Since then, the ninja from the war have settled into a much more peaceful lifestyle. Now, in the next generation of the village, the peace is being threatened by a new group. Can the next generation have the same success as the previous one?

 

My character:

 

 

Name: Koukon Yougan

 

Age: 13

 

Appearance: Koukon wears a standard Konoha headband across his forehead. He has medium length black hair, which partially obscures his headband. He commonly wears a red hoodie and blue shorts.

 

Gender: Male

 

Personality: Koukon is a bit of a class clown, constantly making jokes and teasing his friends. He's actually very determined to do his best, and will rarely back down from a situation. He's friendly towards those who he gets to know, and can be jokingly sarcastic towards friends at times. He's also got a soft spot for girls...

 

Bio/Family Heritage: Koukon is the heir to the Yougan clan, a prestigious clan known for its expertise with fire style jutsu. The clan was known to even rival the Uchiha in this field. Koukon was expected to be one of the greatest clan members in years, and went through quite a bit of harsh training to get to this point. However, he never got down about it, and always looked on the bright side: Impressing the ladies with his talent. He was also close friends with the Hokage's daughter growing up, along with being rivals with Kinatama Mottoyoi. He graduated from the academy at the top of the class, despite being a clown most of the time.

Appearance: Yumi has long red hair, a trademark of the Uzumaki clan. When she's on a mission, or training with her students, she typically wears the standard Leaf shinobi uniform, with the Konoha headband on her forehead. Otherwise, she usually wears an orange t-shirt and blue jeans.

 

Gender: Female

 

Personality: Around her students, or when in a mission, Yumi is typically serious, and acts encouraging towards her teammates. She can often be quieter in battles, due to focusing on analyzing her opponents moves. However, when with her friends, she's more laid back and carefree. This sometimes leaks out around her team, although it doesn't bother her too much when this happens.

 

Bio/Family Heritage: Yumi is a member of the Uzumaki clan, which has become a much smaller clan since the destruction of the Land of Eddies. She was born after her mother, Karin, retired from her position as a shinobi due to guilt for helping rogue ninja. Yumi decided to take on her mother's legacy as a shinobi, and trained hard in order to fill the gap her mother left. She graduated from the Academy at the age of 8, and became a Chunin at the age of 10. She became a Jonin at the young age of 13. She spent the next 4 years as a Jonin, managing to become equal with the likes of shinobi decades older than her. Yumi has an incredible talent for analysis, rivaling even Shikamaru Nara's ability. She is also well-trained in Genjutsu and Ninjutsu, as well as being proficient in Taijutsu. She is often compared to prodigies such as Kakashi Hatake and Itachi Uchiha, and many believe that she has the potential to become the Seventh Hokage.

"Konohamaru, I realize that you are now a Jonin, and that you trained under Lord Hokage himself, but I'm curious: are you prepared for what might happen?" Fujiri asked his fellow Jonin, as both of their genin teams walked ahead of them.

Konohamaru smirked. "That's not surprising, i would be careful too if our positions were reversed. But trust me, i know what i'm doing. I can take care of this. I am the grandson of the 3rd Hokage after all." He said smiling.

"Hmph. If you say so," Fujiri said, his hidden eyes now locked on his three students. Not only will this be a test for me, but for them as well. I'm confident that they can handle themselves to a certain extent. I have taught them well, after all. He thought.

Konohamaru

 

He nodded in agreement. "What Fuji said, we have to be careful, got it? Now let's get going, all of you." He started heading into the cave.

Inoue

"Hey, do you guys really think that there are some rogue ninja in here?" The bored genin asked his teammates. "What if they caught us and we had to fight? I need a chance to try out my jutsu, anyway." He smirked, trying to suppress his urge to fight. Boring recon missions are just holding me back... I need a battle so I can get stronger than the others!

 

Kiyoshi

"If there are, I hope we don't run into them..." The girl muttered, slightly nervous. I don't want anyone to be hurt... I hope we get through here without any problems. She sighed.

Inoue

"Hey, do you guys really think that there are some rogue ninja in here?" The bored genin asked his teammates. "What if they caught us and we had to fight? I need a chance to try out my jutsu, anyway." He smirked, trying to suppress his urge to fight. Boring recon missions are just holding me back... I need a battle so I can get stronger than the others!

 

Kiyoshi

"That's the last thing I want to happen," Chosan said aloud, but mostly to himself. but truthfully he held the same passion to show his moves as much as his brother did.

 

Fujiri

 

"Do not worry, Kiyoshi. Why? You're quite capable on your own at your level, and you'll have myself as well as Banken and Tenshi with you as well. Along with Konohamaru and the new InoShikaCho," Fujiri said, trying hard to comfort his youngest and fragile student. Though he would never confess it, Fujiri always kept a special eye on Kiyoshi, just as his father did for a certain blue haired girl when they were together in a cell in Lord Hokage's time.

Eventually, a dim light seemed to be coming off from deeper inside the cave. Footsteps and talking could be faintly heard, as well.

Kiyoshi looked fairly nervous. "You think that those are the people we're looking for...?" She whispered, trying to hide behind Banken and Tenshi. "What do we do now...?"

"That's gotta be them... I say we rush in and pulverize 'em." He began to run over in the direction that the light was coming from, too excited by the opportunity to test out his new moves to realize that he was putting himself in danger.

Eventually, a dim light seemed to be coming off from deeper inside the cave. Footsteps and talking could be faintly heard, as well.

He sent them a mental command to go forward and scout out the chakra signatures he was sensing ahead in the room of light.

Chosan sighed as well, thinking that Inoue was being too much of a hothead. "Listen to Fujiri Sensei, we need to be quiet and stick together," He added.

"Alright, my allies tell me that the signatures up ahead are fairly larger than any of our genin, but not so much bigger than yours or mine,"

He nodded. "Right then, we have to be prepared before we try to approach them." He looked behind at his team. "Are you guys ready for this?"

"Er, yes Konohamaru Sensei!" Chosan said, ignoring Shikana and saluting to the Jonin, all the while releasing his hold on Inoue as he dropped to the ground. The nervousness he felt at the moment was too much for him to disregard the fact that he was holding his loud brother back beforehand.

Shikana

 

"I know that, that's why we have to stay calm. We just need to follow our sensei's examples." Shikana said clearly.

 

Konohamaru

 

He nodded. "Right then, we have to be prepared before we try to approach them." He looked behind at his team. "Are you guys ready for this?"

Inoue

Inoue grunted after being dropped by his brother. "Clumsy little..." He cut himself off, remembering Konohamaru's question. "Yes, sir!" He got up and grinned, determined to prove his strength.

 

Kiyoshi

"I'm ready, too." The young kunoichi nodded, looking a lot more determined than she had earlier.

Konohamaru

 

"Alright then, we're moving out guys."

 

He led his team out to the end of the ledge, where they could see the ninja conversing with each other. "Ok guys, stay absolutely quiet. We can't let them find out w-"

 

Tenshi

 

Ok, this is my chance to prove myself. He ran out off the ledge and stood behind the people, putting out a Peace sign. "I AM TENSHI YAMI, GREAT NINJA OF THE HIDDEN LEAF. AND NOW, I'M HERE TO KICK YOUR ROGUE ASSES AND BECOME AN EVEN GREATER NINJA!"

 

Shikana/Banken

 

Both of them facepalmed at his actions. "THAT IDIOT!"

 

Konohamaru

 

A huge sweat drop appeared on the side of his face. "And here i thought we'd finally gotten rid of him doing that at the worst time." He sighed. "Get ready to battle team, we have to go save your foolish teammate. Again." He led the other teams towards Tenshi and the Rogues.

"What the heck are you doing, you idiot!?" Inoue shouted at Tenshi, and chased after him. Of course, now I can test out my strength!

 

"You're just like my brother!" Kiyoshi complained, following everyone else. "Would it kill either one of you to actually think for once?"

 

 

And with the other team...

 

"You idiot... We're screwed, now..." Hikari muttered, holding a kunai out for self defense.

 

"Er... sorry..." Koukon looked guilty. "I didn't mean for you to get dragged into this, too..."

 

Yumi and the others ran into the room, preparing to fight off against the rogue ninja. Koukon prepared a Fireball Jutsu, but before he could use it, three men jumped between the Leaf shinobi and the rogue ninja.

 

"It's you!" Yumi's eyes lit up in excitement.

 

One of the three, a muscular man with orange hair, sighed in relief. "Looks like we made in just in time..." He wore what appeared to be a large, brown robe.

 

The second, a fairly scrawny man with white hair, laughed. "You're lucky we all got here when we did. You'll all be safe now." He was pointing a large sword towards the rogue ninja.

 

The third, a man with spiky black hair, sighed. "Yumi, you've got to be more careful with yourself and your students... How would I explain to your mother that you'd died?" He looked back at the group, his Sharingan gleaming as he smiled at Yumi.

 

"R-right, Sasuke." Yumi was a bit shocked that she was being lectured.

 

"Hey, are these..." Koukon began to ask a question, but Yumi quickly cut him off.

 

"Sasuke Uchiha, Suigetsu Hozuki, and Jugo... Team Taka, the Hokage's most trusted team of jonin." Yumi was smiling a bit, seemingly out of admiration. "I know these three very well. After all, my mother used to be their medic."

 

"I wish that we had time to catch up, but you should probably take your team out of here. They've probably got backup from outside on their way now. Probably enough for you to take on, but you don't want to worry about another ambush." Suigetsu warned Yumi, who nodded.

 

"Y-yes, sir!" Yumi answered respectfully, then looked at her team. "Leave this to Taka, they can handle the situation! Let's get going before we get another ambush!" She led her team out.

 

"Whoa... Those three are so cool!" Koukon shouted. "If Yumi sensei looks up to them, they have to be strong! And that's Sasuke Uchiha, too! The best fire style user in the Leaf!"

 

"Whatever, fanboy, let's get going!" Hikari grabbed Koukon's arm and led him outside with Yumi.

 

"Sasuke, Suigetsu, Jugo! I wish you three luck!" Lee gave Taka a thumbs up, and darted outside with the others.

Kinatama

 

"Taka? Oh yeah sure, the team that used to work for that snake bastard Orochimaru," Kinatama said, sort of trying to break Koukon (and even Yumi for that matter) out of their gushing. Eh. They're my superiors. Might as well leave it alone. Sasuke still bugs me though. Kinatama thought. He then was going to leave with the others... but then. He stopped. Wait... this is... this is my chance. Kinatama then stopped as the others went outside and stayed with Taka. "Yo, Sasuke. I'm helping you and the other two out. You'll thank me later." They'll be safe with Yumi Sensei. I can do this.

 

Shogo / Ryuichi

 

"Wait, what is Kinatama doing?" Shogo said, as he and Ryuichi noticed he wasn't following behind. (Hearing Kinatama's words to Team Taka) "Tch. He's being a fool. And to think I was beginning to believe that he was the only one in our group not able to pull something so idiotic. He's going to be killed!"

 

"No, Shogo, that is not true!" Ryuichi countered. "I understand what Kinatama is doing!"

 

"Do you? Care to explain?"

 

"It is very simple: Kinatama may be a loyal shinobi of the Leaf, and he may be one to put himself in situations where he must take control, but he also has something to prove. He wants to be the Hokage, and he is willing to take any chance to prove it!"

 

"How do you know this, Ryuichi?"

 

"I can tell, Shogo. It is written on his face, and the will of youth burns brightly in his eyes."

 

Shogo scoffed but left the matter alone as he and Ryuichi regrouped with Yumi, Koukon, Hikari, and Itachi.

Chosan

 

"Alright, Konohamaru Sensei!" Chosan said, following him and the others. Inoue, Shikana, lets hope we can make it in time. And Tenshi, you better not die on us! Chosan nervously stated in his mind.

Shogo / Ryuichi

 

"Wait, what is Kinatama doing?" Shogo said, as he and Ryuichi noticed he wasn't following behind. (Hearing Kinatama's words to Team Taka) "Tch. He's being a fool. And to think I was beginning to believe that he was the only one in our group not able to pull something so idiotic. He's going to be killed!"

 

"No, Shogo, that is not true!" Ryuichi countered. "I understand what Kinatama is doing!"

 

"Do you? Care to explain?"

 

"It is very simple: Kinatama may be a loyal shinobi of the Leaf, and he may be one to put himself in situations where he must take control, but he also has something to prove. He wants to be the Hokage, and he is willing to take any chance to prove it!"

 

"How do you know this, Ryuichi?"

 

"I can tell, Shogo. It is written on his face, and the will of youth burns brightly in his eyes."

 

Shogo scoffed but left the matter alone as he and Ryuichi regrouped with Yumi, Koukon, Hikari, and Itachi.

Koukon/Yumi

 

"Kinatama, what are you doing!?" Koukon shouted at his friend, preparing to run over to him. Yumi held him back.

 

"We've already got one less person over here with us, we don't need to lose another. Stay here." Yumi ordered Koukon. "Besides... Those three won't let Kinatama get hurt." Once again, there was a tone of admiration in her voice. "Anyway... Get ready. We could be attacked at any moment." She warned her student.

 

"Right. I'm not going to let you get hurt, Yumi sensei." Koukon smirked, focusing his chakra.

 

Taka

 

Sasuke looked back at the genin who'd joined him and his team. "Kid, it's dangerous here. You'd be best off with the others." He warned Kinatama.

 

"Sasuke's got a point. You'd be a lot safer with Yumi." Suigetsu added.

Koukon/Yumi

Taka

 

"Hmph... You remind me of a certain teammate I once had." Sasuke muttered. "Both of you were stupid... Stupid, but determined. I can respect that. Just don't fall behind." The jonin gathered lightning chakra into his palm. "Chidori!" He slammed the palm into one of the rogue ninja, killing him instantly.

 

"Ruthless as ever, Sasuke." Suigetsu commented, and slashed through a rogue ninja who was distracted by Sasuke's attack.

 

"Enough talking, let's get this over with." Jugo activated his Curse Mark, his appearance becoming more similar to that of a monster. He slammed one of the ninja with his arm, knocking him into another one.

"Heh. Don't worry. I know I'm stupid. Stupidly AMAZING!" Kinatama shouted. "Earth Style: Stone Shot! Ossu!" Kinatama blew through some hand seals, ending with the signature seal of hitting his fists together, and then stomping the ground and settling into his taijutsu stance again. The stomp shook the ground, causing the chakra emitted to pull up a slab of rock from the ground. Kinatama punched this slab three times, giant shards breaking off the slab and shooting out at the rouge ninja, each shard big enough to strike two rouges apiece. Kinatama smirked as this successive hits.

Chosan

 

"Alright, Konohamaru Sensei!" Chosan said, following him and the others. Inoue, Shikana, lets hope we can make it in time. And Tenshi, you better not die on us! Chosan nervously stated in his mind.

 

Fujiri

 

"Tenshi, no!" Fujiri tried to say, but his student jumped headfirst into the fray anyway. He rubbed the bridge of his nose. "Damn. Kiyoshi, Banken, let's go with the others!" He commanded, leading the two genin along with Team Konohamaru.

 

Kinatama

 

"Taka? Oh yeah sure, the team that used to work for that snake bastard Orochimaru," Kinatama said, sort of trying to break Koukon (and even Yumi for that matter) out of their gushing. Eh. They're my superiors. Might as well leave it alone. Sasuke still bugs me though. Kinatama thought. He then was going to leave with the others... but then. He stopped. Kinatama rose and gave Itachi a serious frown, his cut hand seemingly healing itself before Itachi's very eyes. "Like I told your daddy: don't take me lightly, Red Eye," he said.

"And like i told you loser, i won't let you ruin my chances of becoming the strongest." He quickly closed his eyes and opened them slowly. "Sharingan." He muttered under his breath. 

 

As a ninja tried to stab Kinatama from behind while he talked to Itachi, Itachi's Sharingan slowed his speed down in his eyes and he quickly dashed behind to kick the ninja in the stomach sending him flying. "I won't take you lightly, as long as you treat me the same."
