So here's the story, I'm a huge fan of the Tales of series and earlier last year my siblings finally let me start playing the actual storyline of the games. I started Tales of Vesperia a while ago and just found out a couple days ago there's a movie of it. Since I'm totally in love with the game right now, naturally I want to see it, but then I noticed it was rated TV-14 and my last experience with a TV-14 anime movie didn't turn the way I planned. I learned from last time and so I looked it up on Google and it didn't give me anything; I just found the same thing every time: its rating. My sister thinks it'll be fine and it's Tales of Vesperia so I would think so too, but I'd rather be careful.

 

So to anybody who has seen Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike, could you please tell me why it's rated TV-14?

It's pretty clean...I think I remember it saying "shit" or "damn" a couple times, so that's probably why. Other than that though it's good.

I definitely will. I've read some stuff on it and I will bet you anything I'm going to cry

There is some swearing, yeah, but I think if you were okay with what was in the game it shouldn't be a problem.

 

There are a few scenes where there is a quite a bit of blood. It isn't any more violent than the game was, however due to the blood it was more graphic.

 

There are a couple of suggestive scenes and remarks, but again if you were okay with how the game handled it, then there will be no problems.

It's too hardcore for 13 year olds. They had to bump it up a year.
