Why did keiji imagine quit capcom?

I was reading the interview and he was saying how he likes the western market and how capcom is holding him back and stuff but I don't really understand it 100%. Can someone explain why he left capcom in laymans terms? Also can you say why he decided to make mighty no 9? I'm curious. It would be very much appreciated if someone responded.

    I think it's because he wasn't free to do what he wanted. Capcom pretty much stepped on his creativity. So he wanted to go off and do his own things. 

     

    Also, because Capcom is a bunch of asshats. 

     

    This pretty much explains why he decided to make Mighty no.9
