Its been a while since I played 10 and well now that im playing the hd collection I forgot how the exp system works. I think its not if you kill a monster or isn't it how much damage you do?  (pic there for no reason)

yeah I love his censored words. me and my friend when his mom took us out to eat before they took me home he called me a zetta son of a digit and I said your a motherfactor. his mom said I get the feeling your using code words and I should get mad.we just laughed and then ate talked played 4swords on our 3ds and I had to go home. and u don't know the answer to my question of ff10?

what I mean is.to gain exp in ff10 it doesn't depened on wheatear or not you kill the monsters to gain exp. I remember it as exp gain is based off of how much damage you do.your mom plays TWEWY?

As far as I can tell, as long as your characters do something, even if it's just defending/skipping a turn, they get EXP.  I don't know if the amount changes depending on how much they do, but characters don't get EXP if they don't do anything.  So, say, if Wakka's first and he Overdrives all the monsters to death on his first turn, your other two party members don't get anything.
