Another ordinary day of school. Kurenai was walking home, deciding to go on her own. Having friends for a change was nice, but she wanted time to think. I need to find the right person to help me with... She was cut off after accidentally bumping into someone, ending up knocked over in the process. "Oh, I'm so sorry!" She apologized, pulling herself up. The man glared at her, and continued on his way. Ugh, people these days... I'll never find who I'm looking for. I hope he's had at least some luck by now...

"Good." Kurenai smiled at her student. "Let's all enter the game, then..."

After meeting back at the Blue Legion base, the four made their way to the training room. "Alright... Who would you like to fight today, Cadmium Limit?" Kurenai asked Hayate.

"Well... I don't believe I've fought Haseo yet," Hayate said.

"H-hey, don't call me that here!" Haseo complained, not wanting anyone to hear and learn anything about his true identity. "And we have fought before... I wouldn't mind beating the crap out of you again, though." He said, clearly still angry after what had happened between Hayate and Rikka.

"Oh, that's right. I apologize..." Hayate cleared his throat. "Blue Ape. In that case, I look forward to doing better than I did last time," Hayate said with respect.

"We'll see about that." Haseo responded. He sent Hayate a duel request. I'll have to avoid going too hard on him... Kurenai will get mad at me if I give him too much of a beating. He sighed, waiting for the response.

Hayate accepted the duel request, ready to square off against Haseo once more.

Though he was unaware of how mad he was over the stunt with Rikka, he could still sense some hostility from Haseo, even more so than usual. I wonder: what has him so troubled? He thought.

As soon as the duel started, Haseo dashed towards his opponent. He threw a powerful punch at Hayate, hoping to knock him back right away. He'd managed to forget all about holding back, and was now focused solely on winning.

Hayate sidestepped Haseo's punch and caught his fist, quickly grabbing the rest of his arm and throwing him over his shoulder. "You'll find that I'm quite prepared in comparison to last time," Hayate mused.

Haseo quickly recovered from Hayate's throw. "You're better, but you're still facing a King." He sneered. He kicked Hayate's back, knocking him back into a wall. "And one of the strongest of them, at that."

Hayated grunted in pain. "... Indeed..." He said, rising up once more. "Still... to me, the word "King" does not translate to strength. If you truly want to show me your resolve, then do not brag about your title," Hayate said, reestablishing part of the reason he was even following Haseo and Kurenai up to now.

"I can show you my strength, if that's what you'd like." Haseo ran towards Hayate once again, and aimed a punch for his opponent's face. I'm not going to let this kid act like my title doesn't mean anything. I worked hard to become a King, and no one's going to tell me that I'm not strong!

Hayate once again caught Haseo's fist, using his free hand to quickly strike Haseo's upper body three times before spinning around and kicking him away.

"Another thing: don't try the same thing twice," Haseo said. Settling back into his stance, he readied for what he predicted to be a hard-fought match.

Haseo growled. "Don't tell me what to do!" He leaped towards Hayate, and tackled him. He pounded at his opponent's armor, now becoming much more angry.

He's horrible at keeping calm in a battle... He kind of reminds me of an actual ape in these situations. Kurenai sighed.

Hayate grimaced behind his helmet, taking the shots we was given. I think I may have sent him over the edge, he thought.

Hayate, using his martial arts background, he grabbed onto Haseo's legs, flipped him to the side, and now become the one being on top of the other, delivering measured strikes to Haseo's upper body and face as opposed to his wild swings prior.

Haseo took some damage, but quickly flipped Hayate off of him with ease. "That won't work on me!" He shouted, throwing another punch towards his opponent. I can't believe this kid is trying to insult me like this...

Hayate moved his head to the side, Haseo's fist hitting the ground instead of his face. He then trapped his arm and flipped him over again, this time distancing himself from him.

"I have to say, I haven't had to use any ground techniques in some time. Impressive," Hayate praised his opponent, while still weary from the combat.

Haseo's face wasn't visible, but he was clearly getting angered by Hayate's ease with battling him. He might not have been using his full power, but he hated losing like this. He stood again, now staring straight at Hayate. He quickly ran over to his opponent, looking like he was about to punch him in the face once again. Instead, he jumped over Hayate, and kicked him down to the floor from behind.

Hayate caught himself before hitting the ground fully, but slowly got up as the battle was starting to wear on him. It seemed that his tolerance to pain was wearing thin, the impact of Haseo's previous blows sinking in at their strongest.

Facing Haseo again, Hayate decided to use Haseo's obvious anger issues against him.

"Your fake out was impressive, but I hope you don't try that again. You seem to have a habit of doing that, as I pointed out earlier," Hayate said, both critiquing his opponent's fighting style due to his plan as well as genuinely wanting Haseo to improve, but he could tell that only anger would be received for his words.

Rikka sighed. This won't end well... She thought, becoming nervous. She didn't want to have to deal with Haseo getting mad and taking it out on someone else...

"What?! You can't tell me what to do! I'm a King!" Haseo shouted, and decided to try a direct attack on his opponent. He quickly appeared in front of Hayate, and punched his face, using a small amount of the power he'd been holding back against his lower leveled opponent. He'd become too angry to be able to focus on keeping their strength even, and was about to go all out.

"His anger is what's going to get him eliminated sooner or later..." Kurenai sighed, upset that her friend was so easy to manipulate.

Hayate took the blow, but used his speed to quickly recover, catching Haseo's outstretch arm and holding it with both arms as he threw him over his shoulder and into a wall. With this back and body stuck to the wall, Hayate took advantage and started pummeling him, throwing quickly timed punches and kicks to his stomach, face, and head, before grabbing his leg and throwing him off the wall and back onto the ground.

Haseo was mad. Really mad. He slowly stood back up, and glared at Hayate. "Don't mock me..." He muttered. He appeared behind Hayate at a near-incomprehensible speed, and kicked his back with much more force than he'd usually used against his lower leveled opponent. He watched as Hayate crashed into a wall, then quickly approached his foe once again and punched his stomach. "How do you like that?! Do you feel humiliated? Defeated? This isn't even my full power!"

"All I feel... is pity for your actions. A so called King should be acting more... composed..." Hayate said through gritted teeth, the pain hard to stomach, no pun intended.

"Pity?!" Haseo shouted. "My rage and the strength it gives me are what have made me so feared in this world! Only a fool attempts to anger me the way you did... And now, you will be punished for that foolish act." He kicked Hayate's face, the wall keeping him from moving. "You're lucky this is just a practice duel, I'd hate to lose this badly in a serious battle with a King." He taunted.

Hayate felt the wall behind him, continuing to egg Haseo on.

"It's too bad that I'm not battling a King; instead, I'm battling a monkey," Hayate said.

"A what?!" Haseo was about to hit Hayate with an incredibly powerful punch, but was interrupted by a voice behind him.

"Stop!" Rikka shouted, sounding concerned.

... What? Kurenai looked over at Rikka, surprised by her sudden outburst. I didn't expect her to do anything... I guess it's good, though. This could have ended badly had she not interrupted them.

"Huh?" Haseo looked back at Rikka, confused. He looked back at Hayate, and realized what he'd done. ... Crap, I let him piss me off... "U-uh... The duel's over." He said, walking away from Hayate. The timer only had a couple seconds left anyway, so his timing wasn't bad. "You can... Train with the others if you'd like." He left the training room.
